The layout continually had to be adjusted due to poor measurement application. Even after the plan was complete, several cabinets were incorrectly made and significant workarounds implemented. We like the look of our wood plank tile, but it will never been sound. Several loose tiles have been replaced and more is needed. I don't think it will ever be 100%. Getting tiles replaced is like pulling teeth, uncomfortable and painful.

Walter is a true CRAFTSMAN, not just some guy who works for a chain who wants to convince you to…read morebuy their product. We did a reface of our cabinets and Walter was the right guy to do it! Walter worked with us to pick the right product and colors. We went with Shinnoki real wood veneer panels. They are beautiful and durable. Once they got the veneer up, they routed then hand-filed all of the openings. Then that meticulously painted the face frames to match the veneer. They even painted around the drawers where you can see very little of the painting they did. That shows a lot of pride! Walter also gave us the look of frameless cabinets even though we would have had to replace the cabinet boxes in order to make them frameless. That's a lot of extra work. We got a custom job for less than the price of a non-custom job. In the photos you can see the detail I'm talking about. I've included before and after pictures. The before pictures are all dark, ugly drawers and doors. The after pictures are the modern, two-tone look. In one photo in which I have a drawer pulled out with hot pads in it, Walter designed that and made it fit. There was not a drawer in there before because it's under the stove and the gas line was in the way. But Walter moved it. Walter's very conscientious and not afraid to tell you if he thinks something is not going to look good. He'll do whatever you want, but we learned that he knows what he's talking about. He identified the issue quickly and highlighted the lazy workmanship from our kitchen installers (Taranto Construction, Inc in Claremont, CA) who were subcontracted through Lowe's (who we purchased our kitchen from). The shelves collapsed because of loose screws from lazy installers at Taranto Construction, Inc. It's infuriating to have to pay someone to come solve an issue that goes back to completely loose screws in the hardware that would've taken an extra 5 seconds to properly tighten at the initial install. But they know people won't see it, so they cut corners. DO NOT EVER USE TARANTO CONSTRUCTION INC in Claremont CA for a kitchen install, or any Lowe's in the surrounding area, as this is who they refer the work to. After spending a short amount of time with Walter, it's clear he knows what he is doing and is a professional. He even tightened and adjusted other cabinet doors in our kitchen he noticed issues with that had nothing to do with the cabinet shelves he came to fix. Nothing about our $15,000 experience was "EverGreen." At this point, I'm not sure whether to call…read morethis company a comedy or a tragedy. This business felt like a scam and a complete time-waster, operating with zero sense of urgency and absolutely no accountability for correcting their own mistakes. Over the course of four months, we experienced catastrophic fulfillment failures, extremely unresponsive customer service, and careless management throughout. It was four months of coordinating, battling with Evergreen, hauling products back and forth, and repeatedly trying to chase down Evergreen to do its job. Our order was riddled with problems: unidentified items, incorrect dimensions, missing and mismatched components, and pieces that weren't even close to what was shown on the approved blueprints. And it didn't end there. Not only did they fail to execute the exchanges correctly THREE TIMES, but they also refused to refund us for the incorrectly supplied cabinets--leaving us with over $1,000 worth of unidentified cabinets no on our blueprint. For every pallet we hauled back to their HQ for correction, we would discover another chain of errors during installation. We had to repeat this back-and-forth process multiple times--in the peak of the summer heat--because they refused to pick up the incorrect products they had supplied. For a company of this scale, the level of customer support and the tricks they play after the initial delivery were incredibly unprofessional. Once the order was delivered and paid for, getting meaningful help became unnecessarily difficult. So I genuinely want to ask Evergreen: How exactly is a GC supposed to verify or install a product without opening the box--especially when your own packing list doesn't even match what you delivered? At times, it felt like a hostage situation: either pay additional money to obtain the pieces needed to finish the project, or be left with cabinets missing doors, shelves, or other necessary components. It ultimately took us four months just to piece their mess together. After adding up the additional costs, transportation, wasted labor, project delays, and other expenses caused by this ordeal, the final cost ended up substantially higher than we originally expected. At that point, we could have purchased cabinets made locally with proper quality control and responsive support. This wasn't just one incorrect door or one unfortunate shipping mistake. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. The problem was the repeated pattern of errors, failed corrections, poor communication, lack of accountability, and the expectation that we should bear the time and cost of solving problems we didn't create. The entire experience was exhausting, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. Four months of our time were consumed by something that should have been straightforward.
