And secondly it was for, as the reply from the vendor states correctly, a deep clean not a recurring cleaning every month so the comment I made about purposely inflating the cost and not wanting the work was a mistake on my part. As it turned out their quote was only $140 higher than the company we went with. Their monthly quote was about $150 higher than the company we went with. These differences most likely have to do with their fixed costs of doing the job to their standards. I apologize to Cotton Brothers for my mistake. I am revising the review rating to four stars but as you can see it still shows 5 stars. And here's why: They still lose a star for their higher prices in a competitive business. That said I am also adding back that fifth star because they took the time and followed up, had kept their quote and if we weren't on a strict budget would most likely have accepted this offer just because they sincerely want to grow their business, have the confidence to push back and have the facts to back it up. That is quite late in the day for an appointment that had never actually been confirmed. When I texted the owner and explained that I would do much better with an actual scheduled time, the only response I received was "OK." I've also found that some of the owner's communication can come across as a little abrupt or rude. Again, I think they do a good job cleaning, but reliable scheduling and clear, courteous communication are important to me when someone is coming into my home. Because of that, I don't think this is the right service for us.
