As I waited in line for approximately five minutes, I was assisted by a middle aged man of Indian descent, who then asked me if I used Western Union before. I responded no, as I was new to this process, but had a general idea of what to do. When I filled out the slip, I came back on line, to be told to "hurry up because I have things to do". I then mentioned my familiarity of the business structure, as I worked in retail for 13 years prior, and understand consumer rights. I also mentioned that I didn't mean any disrespect when I told him that customers have rights, as employees do, and that you don't tell a customer who's new to Western Union to "hurry up". Well, atleast not in America. He then changed his tune, but told me the password I choose is too long, as it was my e-mail address. I had then changed my test password to a simpler one. The money was sent, I received a receipt, and the rep was courteously to me, changing his tone and demeanor, by the end of our conversation.

This time, I called Western Union to verify that I would be served. At the window, I mentioned that I had been in a fire and that these folks raised this money for us. The customer service person gave me the cash. However, she would not let me deposit the money to my bank. I write here because Western Union tells me that was a lie. Apparently, skin color is part of their ID system. I don't have the right complexion. Call the company/person like Western Union. Give them a heads up. They have a robust complaint process.
