this PLS is never ready nor are they operating 24/7. I came around 7:30 am, no one was there, no one in line. the two ladies behind the window told me to go to one side, I waited 10 mins. then she asked me to move to another window, where I waited another 10 mins. a 3 rd lady came and stood in the bank, and watched the other two ladies count the money. when I informed both ladies I had to go, then they helped. 8-21-23 BEWARE!!! MONEY ORDERS PURCHASED HERE WITH CASH HERE ARE WORTHLESS. On 8-15-23 I paid $1800.00 cash for a money order at the 6901 4th ave location in Bay Ridge. I just received a call from my landlord that this money order bounced...I have the receipt with the MO serial number on it... I called the PLS corporate customer service number on the receipt and the useless drone who picked up the phone stated she can't do anything and I have to go back to the store...I called the location where I bought the MO and THAT useless drone told me I have to go in and fill out a form AND WAIT for a refund check...HOW LONG? This useless drone also added that this was the 2nd call she received for this same exact problem today...I called back and requested that she email me the form for my REFUND (after I was ripped off $1800.) and she said she couldn't do that... UPDATE 8-29-23 I went back to the PLS location on 8-23-23 at 6901 4th Ave. The customer service girl at the counter filled out a few forms including an affidavit. and told me I would receive a refund check in 1 to 3 weeks. I just called the PLS corporate office at 855-856-9757 (today 8-29-23) to see if my refund check was mailed out. This customer service person on the phone started playing WORD GAMES with me telling me that "IF THE MONEY ORDER WAS CASHED AND I FILLED OUT AN AFFIDAVIT THIS REFUND COULD TAKE UP TO 3 YEARS"...(The MO I paid $1800.00 cash for was worthless and wouldn't cash. This place is the worst! The location on Nostrand and Ave D has 10 windows but only 2, if you're lucky 3 people working. There is always a line causing people to walk out. Then, the card machine was closed at 7, so the worker suggested I use the ATM to withdraw the cash. Believe it or not the ATM wasn't working. I'm done, that will be the last time. I hope they close you guys down. I've never seen such a shitty business in my life. It's a shame that that's the kind of businesses that are popping up on Nostrand Ave. read more

Did you say free!!! Wow I need money orders cause some places that I use wont take personal checks. There is not many things you can get for free in New York City. I mean its only a dollar at most paces for money orders but here its free and convenient. Awesome service, bright and clean at their new location. The WORST experience ever ! I have been using Western Union for over 20 years... I came to PLS location on 69st and 4 ave in Brooklyn today at 8:20 am to make a money transfers And it happened to be the worst experience ever.?! Shift supervisor Massiel is totally incompetent as for her job description. She could not handle questions, and have got so mad and negotive that I felt threatened. Pls agents were more knowledgeable and Customer Service savvy then the supervisor Massiel. I feel very uncomfortable now , when she have taking a copy of my Driver License ...what was just openly thrown in printer...when I expressed a concern in regard to storing and keeping Customers personal data more secure she Became very mad and told me : " if you don't like something, do not come here anymore " Pretty much she made a conclusion. The only concern I have, my personal info with PLS!? And supervisors who do not even understand basics of being professional and customer services! Be careful if you choose that location. read more

My daughter went in last week and gave cashier named Kelly $180 to load on to a prepaid debt card. Kelly who was sharing a till with another cashier said my daughter only gave her $80! My daughter insisted she gave her $180 and refused to leave till she got her full $180! Thank God my daughter was smart enough to not leave and stay where the cameras can see her! Kelly sent one of the tapes to the manager and after the manager reviewed it said my daughter never gave her $180. They called the cops and my daughter was treated like a criminal by Kelly and her male cashier she was sharing the till with and by the cops. My daughter gave all the details to the police officers and the police reviewed the video and said there is no way the can see the transaction from that video and requested the other 3 videos which had much better angles. Everything my daughter said was found to be 100% true!!!!! Down to every single detail!!!!! When finally the till was counted Kelly and her male cashier was short!!!!! These two were trying to get over on my daughter. Not only were they trying to steal her money but they also cursed at her and made stupid faces at her! My daughter is 21 years but looks like 16 years old.She must have looked like an easy target. I called the main office 2 times and they filed a report and said someone would call me back in 48 hours and it's been a week and no one ever called back. Kelly and her male cashier that shared the till with her and the manager that backed up their story after reviewing the video that you can't see anything should all be fired!!!!! This place is riddled with thieves and no one should trust them handling their hard earned cash!!!!! The way my daughter was treated was UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! NO ONE EVEN OFFERED AN APOLOGY AND IF THEY HAD DONE EVEN THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE POSTED THIS!!!!! DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES UNLESS YOU WANT TO RUN THE RISK OF LOSING ALL OR PART OF YOUR MONEY!!!!! So many more details I could have added about how she was treated in front of a bunch of customers but I think what bothers me the most is that all this was done in front of my daughters 2 little boys ages 2 and 3 years old!!!!! Worst customer service ever. The agents were reluctant to resolve a problem that was caused by Western Union. Instead of the manager helping me she told an agent to deal with me and he even refused to spend one on the phone with Western Union to help. I will never send money with Western Union again and definitely would avoid this establishment. read more

Had to put a stop payment on my money order. Brought the original receipt and everything. Was told i had to wait 4-6 weeks for them to stop payment and reissue a new one because they have to launch an "investigation" although they were able to see the original money order was not cashed. Needless to say that puts me in a horrible position trying to round up money for my January rent yet again when February is approaching. I am sure this happens all the time and there needs to be better ways to resolve it. No one at the place wanted to work with me to find a better solution, they just kept telling me its $15 dollars to put a stop on the money order and hey! 1 extra dollar because you are using a debit card. I live in the neighborhood . Been to this place 5 times. Each time is worst than the one before. Tonight I had to wait 30 minutes before I decided to leave. Grand total of 1 teller.
