I decided to see for myself, and Shane is the REAL DEAL. He is compassionate, knows the tax code, and he takes the time to understand your issues and is not afraid to tell you if he doesn't have the answer right off the bat. Your time will certainly be well spent talking to him Thank you again Shane !!!!

I've often had complex returns: multiple freelance gigs, income from multiple states, unpaid taxes from previous years. This has never been an issue for Shane to take care of. Easily the best part of working with Shane is the transparency he provides and the effort he makes to keep you informed of what he is doing. Tax code is tantamount to alien language to me. Shane not only takes the best approach to protect me and insure I am taking advantage of every legal tax means possible, but goes out of his way to make sure that I understand what he is doing and why. Shane is also a CFP and his financial planning skills are an added benefit to working with him. I feel much more comfortable about my future financial health having heeded his advice. He has been known to take house calls, meet in the confines of a friendly and quiet bar, or invite you into his own office--whatever is most convenient for you. I wish the song "Taxman" by The Beatles had a positive connotation--like perhaps about a Justice League member that has tax return powers--because Shane is definitely my Taxman Superhero!

After months of frustrated searching for an expert who understood both the federal tax code and the…read moreFAFSA financial aid formulas, I found Renee Schweke of Bridge Financial Solutions. Although I had previously worked with a tax preparer who supposedly grasped the intricacies of tax law and educational credits, I found that this professional did not have the expertise I so desperately needed. I came across the same challenges with my college Financial Aid office regarding the complicated formulas of the FAFSA application. Everywhere I looked for help, I ran into a roadblock of misinformation or even no information. Finding Ms. Schweke saved me from long-term mistakes on my FAFSA for my much needed funding and grants. Her assistance was invaluable because of her unique expertise in both tax law as an Enrolled Agent and college finance through actual experience in a college financial aid office. Without her guidance, my understanding of how to navigate through the contradictory criteria and formulas would have been severely handicapped. I cannot praise Ms. Schweke highly enough for her strengths as a tax specialist and college finance expert. By her considering the student's situation from all aspects, she formulates the best plan for financial aid. She authentically cares about everyone she works with and stays with you every step of the way, offering support and direction.
