This is a must-try stop if you're driving down to Ensenada. The service is swift and great. We ordered the fish and chips and the aguachile and they were both incredibly tasty, seafood in that town is truly unmatched. We tried some of the local beers, they have a wide selection of IPAs. The ambiance is casual with great alternative music playing, I highly recommend visiting!

I rarely review breweries, but since this a Mexican Cerveceria, I felt it would warrant a review. The brewery is very spacious with two levels. The top floor has great views of the ocean and they also have tables outside, but it was too windy and chilly to be hanging out outside. Service was great, and the food was good. My brother in law ordered a pizza. I personally wouldn't order a pizza in Mexico, but I did eat one slice and it was good. The beer was great though. Some had cool names like Senor de Sombrero, but my favorite was their sour beer Transpassional. It was crisp and refreshing, and I knew my wife would love it so I took a crowler back with me. All the other beers we tried were still pretty good though. Will definitely be coming back, hopefully on a warmer day so we enjoy the outdoor seating.

The beer is tasty as it should be for a brewery. Great variety too. But even if you don't drink beer, stop by for the food. We were impressed with the fish tacos which were (today) made with mackerel but were not oily or fishy. The loaded fries with bbq meat was just ok. Service was 10/10 and everything inside is top notch and beautiful. They can definitely handle big groups easily.

I really enjoyed this place. When we arrived a little after 11am, we were bummed to find out that we could only do take out beer and that they don't let people sit inside until after noon. I felt that was a little bit odd since all of their staff behind the bar and walking around were there, but nonetheless we came back after noon and sat outside upstairs on their deck. It has beautiful views of the ocean in the distance as well as the peninsula where La Bufadora is. We decided to go back inside because it got pretty chilly out there once the fog and winds rolled in. They have flights here and a good selection of beer so this is a must if you're looking for great craft beer in the Baja peninsula. This place was fairly busy on a Tuesday around lunch time so you can tell many locals or non-locals alike frequent this place often! Will be back

The burgers were awesome and the place is big with lots of seating. I would not recommend bringing children here because the music has AWFUL language. The service was pretty good. It took forever to get the check at the end of the meal and there weren't a ton of people so I'm not sure what took so long. I'm sure he just didn't want to make us feel rushed. Bathrooms were pretty clean and it had everything you needed (TO, paper towels, soap) and all the sinks toilets were working. I know that seems like a weird thing to put in a review but it's Mexico. You can't always expect to have everything available in the bathroom.

Great service, great brew, great atmosphere, great pricing, & beautiful space. we had wanted to go for quite some time. since we had a friend visiting we decided to take him and glad we did. From the minute we arrived everyone was friendly. the recommendations that were provided turned out to be wonderfully tasty. ensenada is such a great city. the only disappointing thing of the entire visit to the brewery, is that they didn't have enough stock of their glasses for purchase. I love collecting brew glasses to use as regular glasses in my home, & was unable too. guess that means I'll have to come back. Lol. See you soon...

This was my family and I's second stop on our Tuk Tuk tour around the town of Ensenada, Mexico. This is an up-incoming brewery that is usurping itself on the scene of micro brews. We had the sampler, which for the price (we got it for a little more than $4 USD) was worth the money in my opinion. The beers are as follows (starting from left): . Tierra Clara (Blonde IPA) . Carretera 3 (IPA) . 3 Virgenes (Hoppy Amber) . KM 5.5 (Milk Stout) What also got this review to a five star was the friendliness of the wait staff and the adorable dog named Dugan! I recommend this place to any who want to try a new brewery while in Ensenada!

Nice atmosphere, great views and live music. We had the fish and chips. I'd definitely stop by again for a drink and some ocean views.

Who knew you could find some of the MOST delicious beer smack dab in Baja?! I love this place, and come pretty often. They always put the sports games on for me which is hard to come by in Baja sometimes, they will even play the sound! My favorites here is the Playitas and their Cheeseburger, I know I know, but its one of the best I've ever had in all of Baja!

Fish & Chips. Perfect pairing with KM Stout.

Always a must stop whenever I'm lucky enough to be in Ensenada. The brews are solid which is impressive given the wide range of styles offered here. This dark beer drinker is a big fan of their KM milk stout and my hubby enjoys their selection of IPAs. Yet on a hot day, I enjoy their flavorful lagers too. Food is less consistent and rarely impressive but on the last visit our entire table had fish & chips and everyone was very happy.

    Ocean view from upstairs terrace.

Good beer and good food. However, the service leaves much to be desired. The upstairs terrace has a beautiful view of the ocean and marina. This restaurant repeatedly denies weekday access to the ocean view because either: they will not hire the staff to serve the upstairs area; or the staff that are working are too lazy to climb the stairs. Even when placing the order downstairs, they would not bring the food one flight of stairs and left it on the bar for me to get it (there were 2 bartenders with about 5-7 people sitting in the bar area). This is LITERALLY the only restaurant in Ensenada that would do this as everyone is extremely accommodating.

New healthy options at this bar, corn and kabucha!

Fun, clean sports adventure bar. Dog friendly;)) Owner is super guy and let's us set up mobile massage and Sup rentals. Wednesday jam is good for local music community. Food is delicious, some new healthie options are my favorite;)

The spot is actually a straightforward 5 minute walk from the ABC bus terminal in Ensanada's Zona Centro (downtown) area. The brewery is located within a food hall called Pasillo Central where you can buy tacos, burgers, pizza, and other delicacies to go with your craft beer if you wish. It's a fairly small brewery with a smaller selection of beer than I expected (maybe about 7 or 8 beers on tap at the time). Tried a few of the beers, including the Mike IPA (named after Mike Ehrmantraut of Breaking Bad fame) and the Cenicienta, a light (4.5%) golden ale. Was less than impressed with both. The best beer I tried was probably the Luna Roja, a darker red Scottish ale which was pretty good, though not great. The beer prices were solid. 65-70 pesos (around $3.25 to $3.50) for a pint (16oz) and only 20 pesos (around $1) for a 4 oz taster. But wasn't impressed with the place overall quite honestly. There's no air conditioning (only fans) and only one TV in the tap room, though they did also have a small projector screen showing the Monday Night Football game. Bit of a hipster vibe here that might appeal to some. But overall just seemed like a smallish bar that slapped the "Breaking Bad" name on it for the name value. Wasn't impressed but could see myself going back if I happen to be in that area of Ensenada again. They do have a happy hour Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 7 pm.

Once you find the door, keep walking down the long, "under construction" hallway. No, you aren't going the wrong way. No, there wasn't an earthquake. No, this isn't a scene out of a home renovation show. Just keep walking, and you'll find the tap room. It's located in the very back, and it's basically a large, unfinished, concrete block room with an old piano and some tables and chairs. Fancy it ain't, but this is all about the beer. There's a small brewing facility that looks 100% legit homegrown. No fancy hipster junk here. The beer menu is clear and prices are far from bargains. Expect to pay what you would for a pint in any American bar. We had a light and dark beer, and both were tasty (the dark especially - tasted like chocolate). The bartender spoke good English and we were warmly welcomed. Since this place is still a well-kept secret, we were there with only one other customer (some super weird dude who looked like Pablo Picasso and dressed like Jeff Goldblum and was asking a ton of scientific questions about their brewing process). This is a place for real beer nerds, that's for sure. They've got the marketing down as well, with a not-quite copyright infringing logo and they give you stickers if you ask. A little bummed that our beers were served in normal glasses, would've been super rad if they were served in laboratory test tubes or jars or something. Owners are big fans of "Breaking Bad," obviously.

[So mind the wet weather when considering "when" to go, and if the vehicle you're in can handle the potholes a foot (or more) deep.] THE SETUP We followed staff down rustic stone and wooden steps, past several different covered alcoves - almost Tiki in vibe - until we came to the cantina we all were invited into. Their partner-business Ochentos shared their pizzas with us while we sampled the brewery's beers. The varietals were tasty from their pale ale to their brown. The environment was exquisite with it's rustic norms, including the prima dona felines that made their presence known and purported ownership over the grounds we were proceeding. THE LOWDOWN A very fun trek to explore an out of the way brewery and some pretty tasty pizza. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-chivo-gru%C3%B1%C3%B3n-villa-de-ju%C3%A1rez?select=nQaP-BTNQeK0t4svUmAkxQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w
