I recently took my 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500HD to the Olathe Certified Transmission. I had them service my truck's transmission and both front and rear differentials. The service writer was friendly and efficient in setting up the service request and provided me an estimate of what the service would cost. During the service, I received text messages concerning the status of the work being performed. I received a call informing me that the service was completed. While Certified Transmission may not have the lowest price for the services provided, I know they will do the work properly and in a timely manner. The absolute best service I have ever had. I took my car into certified to get a second opinion on some transmission issues, and it was the best decision I could have made. They diagnosed the issue quickly and caught something the first mechanics did not. Certified saved me thousands of dollars. The mechanics were kind, honest, and made me feel extremely comfortable. If you have an older Toyota, take it to Olathe Certified. Not all Certified locations were willing to help. I tried for two months, and every other place I went to, Certified and others, told me they couldn't help me. All I got for for two months was, sorry. Can't help you. Olathe Certified got me a rebuilt transmission for my '03 Tacoma in two days. They know Toyotas here. If you're like me, and don't want to get rid of your Toyota, go to Olathe Certified. My pristine 2005 Accord EXL stopped shifting smoothly and showing warning lights, took it to Honda, they said new transmission, $8000! I then had it towed to Certified Transmission where Manager, Chris, had it evaluated. He said it only needed an A shift solenoid, $1100! I own a carpet cleaning company in Olathe. We woke up one morning to one of our rigs transmission completely broke, wouldn't go out of 2nd gear. I took the van in at 10am. They installed a new transmission for us and were done by 5pm the SAME DAY. Certified literally saved us a couple thousand dollars worth of business we would have lost by reducing our down time. When I called Certified for an estimate, the guy wanted my contact information first, which annoyed me. He seemed more like a pushy salesman than a mechanic. This should have been my first clue. I already had a bid from a great mechanic to replace my cooler lines for $300, but he couldn't get to me for a week. Certified said they could do it right away for $500-800. So I left them my truck. A few hours later, they called and said it would be close to $900 (of course) and the part would take two days to arrive. So I decided to go back to the first guy and save $600. The bummer is, I had to pay Certified $87 to tell me my cooler lines had a leak, which I already knew. Lesson learned. read more

Certified in Olathe has done transmission work for me on two vehicles and I highly recommend them. Free towing available within a certain area, and the work is top notch. They replaced transmission in my 2002 Jeep Liberty and I have no complaints. When my 2008 Sebring started leaking fluid I had it towed in to them (no charge) and they quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem at a reasonable price even though it was an unusual situation (broken filler tube). They are my transmission team from here on out! read more

I recently had the transmission on my 2006 Chevy Suburban LTZ 4x4 serviced at the Olathe location of Certified Transmission. Andrew (Mgr) and his team run a great shop. I set the appt up online. I got a call back within an hour introducing themselves and confirming the appt details. Upon arrival at the shop, I was greeted right away to a clean lobby. They kept me in the loop during the entire appt. I was able to work in the lobby with their complementary wifi. After the initial evaluation, they walked me thru the results of the evaluation and walked me thru line by line the estimate / proposed solution. The work was completed within the time estimate originally provided. At the completion of the appt, they walked me thru again what they did and shared with me details about their work. I really appreciated that and it provided me with a sense that I was truly cared for (and not taken advantage of which is a fear of most when getting a car repaired). I highly recommend Andrew and his team at the Olathe shop and will definitely be back should something come up with my transmission again. Thanks, guys! read more

5/22/14.... I have graciously accepted Peters offer to have certified tow my auto to see why the transmission has failed.... I will follow up with the results... .Purchased a transmission from them in late 2008 with 101,000 miles on my 2001 SUV. I did the maintenance required changing transmission fluid etc., the transmission went out at 156000 last fall in 2013. so my $4800 transmission from certified lasted 55,000 miles. Their warranty is 3 years 50,000 miles, so technically they made it past the warranty. But, in my opinion, having a transmission last just 55,000 miles, needs to be shared with potential customers. I went to Jeff the store manager to discuss the failed transmission. (diagnosed by a the dealership for my auto in Olathe ). Jeff offered me a 10% discount on a new transmission. because as jeff said "well, it went past the warranty"...... Now I am a business man, I understand warranties, and technically their transmission passed the letter of the law as far as their warranty on their transmissions go. But they know, and you know, that transmissions should last longer than 55K.,,, if I were certified transmission I would have made a better attempt to do the right thing and meet somewhere in the middle...but I am but one customer, and they do have a bottom line they need to think about.. So I am writing this review mainly to alert potential customers that I had a bad experience... and wondering how many more customers have had their transmission go out just past their warranty from certified transmission and didn't say anything...or did say something to the store manager and were offered a 10% discount, then leaving shaking their head, never to return to certified transmission........... Buyer beware... all in my opinion... read more

I have a number of older vehicles that require occasional maintenance, but when my daughter was stuck and could not move her car, I relied on a buddy to send me somewhere reasonably priced. Where he sent me was a dirty, discusting location with people happy to take my money. I got a second opinion an went to Certified. There, I met Jeff, a down to earth gentleman that made me no promises, but to look at the car. The other shop said I needed a whole new transmission and a few other items totaling nearly $3,000 with tax. Jeff told me what my car needed, and when I went to pay, he showed me the worn out part (wear was apparent). My cost? Less than 1/10th of the cost the gross shop wanted. It's almost Christmas so you can imagine how happy I was to save money for Christmas and to get my daughter back in reliable transportation. If you need an honest opinion at a reasonable price, you are making a mistake not seeing Jeff at Certified. And Jeff.. if you're reading this.. I'll be back with my other cars when they need service.
