Pedro is AMAZING! He was efficient, friendly, reasonably priced, reliable and QUICK! More than anything, he did exactly what he said he was going to do - showed up on time, and got me on the road, ASAP! In today's day and age (and especially in Miami), just getting service providers to show up is half the battle. Congratulations, Pedro...you have a new customer! Thank you, soooo much! read more

Yesterday was the second time I've had Pedro come to our home to repair our cars. Both times were 5 star experiences. He was able to come out same day and arrived promptly within the time frame he advised. Pedro explained the issues in clearly understood terms, showed the broken parts, and did an excellent job on the repairs. His charges were considerably less than going to the dealership; he did not try and gouge by stating that there were other issues with the cars. His abilities and attitude are highly professional and personable; thoroughly honest. I will call him in the future if needed and recommend him to anyone needing service. read more

Honest, professional, reasonable, punctual, and just an overall great experience. Pedro Talavera was the mechanic that came out to my house. I called and he returned my call right away. He gave me an estimated time for his arrival and was actually about 10 min early and it was rush hour. He checked my battery, went with me to the place I bought it at to try to see if my warranty was good, and waited 35 min for the auto store to do certain test. In the end my battery was dead with 1 month late on me getting my warranty. Pedro sold me the same battery they have there for $30 less and a better warranty listed on the battery. He installed it and checked my alternator. He did not try to rip me off and was very good st explaining things. I appreciated his professionalism. I'd recommend him and use him again. 2 thumbs up Connie read more

Pedro is the man! Plain and simple. My car wouldn't start today in the morning so I looked up mobile mechanics on Google since I really couldn't get to a shop. I stumbled across CMT after reading reviews online like many people here, so I went ahead and called hoping for the best. Pedro answered very professionally as he listened to my issue and was able to explain very clearly as to what could be the cause of the problem and how he would fix it, and he was able to give me an estimate very close to what I ended up paying. Upon arrival, he was able to determine that it was in fact the alternator as he had mentioned when I first called him. Also, the alternator he chose for my car was of very good quality. I definitely felt very fortune that he had time to see my car that same day as he is a certified master technician, so I knew I was in good hands. As far as his work rate is concerned, well it's incredible as I believe it only took him a little over an hour to finish the job as opposed to a shop where I could've been stuck for hours. Pedro also had me drive my car around a bit to make sure I was satisfied with the job done, which I appreciate. In the end, Pedro made some recommendations as to what other work I may have done to improve my car over time, so I'll definitely be following up with him! read more

Pedro & his son were GREAT! He came to my house and looked at both my car (2006 Mazda 3) and my wife's car as well (2010 Kia Soul). He checked her completely and checked a few issues with mine. My car had a constant vibration/shimmy for years when going between 60-70 mph, I've taken it to numerous places from 2 different mazda dealerships, tire kingdom, other mechanic shops, etc and all have said different things from the tires, brakes, motor mounts, etc. None of those things fixed the problem. He put it up on the jack and within a few minutes determined that the problem was a bent wheel. The next weekend I went to Hubcap Heaven and got a replacement wheel and guess what? The problem is FINALLY gone! He will be doing a transmission flush on my wife's car soon and a few other things I will have him look at on my car as well. read more

First of all, this is my first time ever writing a review. But I was so impressed by Mr. Pedro Talavera's professionalism, efficiency, and above all, honesty, that I am compelled to publicly thank him for his outstanding service. And I am also writing this review for the many victims of fraudulent repair shops who have not had the luck of finding such an ethical mechanic as Mr. Talavera, which is understandable, as there are very few such honest professionals. My story is common: almost everyone has been ripped off by an auto repair shop. But I've never been scammed so badly as I recently was at Homestead Repair Center (in Homestead, Fl). Notice they have only one Yelp review and it's about how incompetent/shady they are. To make a long story short, Homestead Repair Center intentionally damaged my engine, which was running perfectly well before they damaged it (in order to up-sell me an expensive overhaul). As there were two witnesses to this criminal mischief felony, I have filed a complaint with the Homestead Police Station. Bottom line: my engine has to be overhauled or replaced, which will cost between $5,000 - $10,000. And they would have gotten away with it except I wanted another opinion and had the luck of finding Mr. Talavera on Yelp. When Mr. Talavera arrived, it took him only 90 minutes to diagnose and repair what was actually wrong with my engine -- it was a faulty distributor cap/rotor, a $28 item, that when he installed the engine started up immediately (though now running very poorly due to the damage caused by Homestead Repair Center). After we described to Mr. Talavera how the Homestead Repair Center mechanic had excessively cranked my engine over 50 times during a 6-hour period, he confirmed what the mechanic at Keith Pierson Chevrolet had also surmised: the over cranking of my engine witnessed at Homestead Repair Center would create a condition known as "Fuel Wash," which every professional mechanic knows will severely damage internal engine components. Had I had the foresight or luck to initially find Mr. Talavera, my repair bill would've only been $250 for diagnosing and replacing the distributor rotor/cap, plus $28.20 for the part. But unfortunately I trusted my minor repair to the criminals at Homestead Repair Center, where they turned a minor $278 repair into a $5,000 scam! So again, thank you Mr. Talavera for being that rare individual -- an ethical professional mechanic. read more

My car wouldn't start, so I called Pedro. He provided fast, professional, and excellent service. He also provided great information about how to maintain my vehicles in the future. I highly recommend him and his company. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS MECHANIC! He will take advantage and rip you off just like the big shop's do! First off, he only wants to communicate by text. After texting him the problems I was having in detail he immediately told me I needed to rebuild my carburetor which I would have to bring to him at a cost of $400 and it would take 5 days. I CAN BUY A BRAND NEW CARBURETOR FOR LESS THAN $400! I then told him the carburetor was fairly new ( just over 1 year old ) and it just needed a professional tuning and I got the same response. It needs to be rebuilt. I'm very good with auto repair and have been working on most of my own vehicles since I started driving 25 years ago. I'm just not a certified mechanic. I reached out to this mechanic because he had good reviews and I thought he could help tune my carburetor because I don't have all the tools to do it properly. To make a long story short, I had my carburetor tuned just fine and through the process of elimination, I determined it was a weak mechanical fuel pump causing the problems. A $26 part that I easily installed myself. BOTTOM LINE. If you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to auto repair, DO NOT TRUST THIS MECHANIC! He'll tell you that you need an expensive repair and take total advantage of you. You're much better off going to a dealer. They have all the best equipment, warranties and you know where to find them if there is a problem with the repair. They also have a manufacturer to answer to if you're not a happy customer and file a complaint. DO NOT TRUST EVERYTHING YOU READ. For all this mechanics good reviews, HE'S JUST ANOTHER SCAM ARTIST. Always get a second and even third opinion. If they all say the same thing then it just comes down to price. read more

Pedro is an excellent mechanic. I found him on Yelp a couple of years ago. He changed our vehicle's brakes and starter--saving us hundreds of dollars. We didn't have any issues with the work he did back then. Recently, we were told by the Lexus dealership that we needed a few things things done. I decided to give Pedro a call to see if he's still working. He is, and he's just as kind and efficient as before. He changed our struts, as well as threaded stud posts on one of our tires. Our vehicle rides far smoother than before. He saved us hundreds of dollars; and we're so thankful. He's a really nice guy. He's very thorough with his explanation of what is needed and why. He speaks very good English! He shows you the brand new parts when he opens the boxes. He also shows you your old beat up, worn out parts after he has removed them. Pedro is what I call a "dream mechanic". He's honest and affordable. Car repairs are always an inconvenient surprise. But working with Pedro takes the pain and frustration away. Give him a call! He will put your car back on the road and your mind at ease without draining your savings. You never have to wonder: "Does this guy know what he's doing or talking about?" Or "I hope we aren't being ripped off by this dude." Nope! Rest assure! Auto repairs by Pedro is the way to go. read more

Pedro and his assistant, Jorge, were awesome in every way! They were super quick, reliable, honest, and did the job for a great price. I'm so glad I found them. Now I know that if I ever have any other car problems, I can count on Pedro, and he is only a phone call away. read more

Pedro from CMT was a lot better than expected! I had a vehicle breakdown on July 4th and needed to get back on the road. I called him up and he actually picked up the phone on a holiday weekend! I explained the situation to him and he told me that he could be at my house by 2 pm. I agreed and a few hours later, Pedro called me that he could be here before 12 noon. When he arrived, I was amazed at the amount of tools and equipment that he had on board. He quickly checked my car and told me how much it would be.I agreed and he began to work. In less than 45 min. he was done! After he was finished, he took the car out for a test drive to make sure all was well.I was amazed at the way this man knew what he was doing and was to the point! I cant thank him enough for getting me back on the road on a holiday weekend! When he was finished he even gave me a discount for being a first time customer! I will be calling him from now on for regular service as well. Can't beat waiting for my car to be fixed in the comfort of my own home! read more

Pedro is an amazing mechanic. Very knowledgeable and extremely quick and diligent. Would highly recommend him to anyone needing car repairs

Well, what can I say. I have used the same mechanics shop for 15 years and then the head mechanic that worked on my cars had health issues and quit. Then things went down hill fast and I quit using the company. I then needed a transmission and had one put in in Miami. The owner of the shop stated I needed a oil cooler for the transmission which is a good idea anyway. HOWEVER, they installed the cooler with electrical tie wraps and it rubbed against the frame of the vehicle causing holes to form. Needless to say I was losing fluid and was frustrated so here I am on this site looking for a new direction. Pedro's number was there so I called and in 15 minutes (no kidding as he was very close when I called) he came and I told him about the issue. He diagnosed the bad cooler and is now on the way to buy a new one for installation. Don't know yet what the final bill will be but I thought he was genuine and a good mechanic. I will use again and would recommend him and I believe his son works with him. Great guys but cannot tell you if I am "happy" with the charges yet. (no one is ever happy paying repairs) but I made a good choice. read more
