It's never been very much money, the pricing is very fair. They tell me exactly what is wrong before they fix it and I give them the approval. My cars keep running and running and running. I make appointments to drop my car off. It's always ready quickly and I've never had a bill that shocked me. I really feel like they're honest there and that they do great work. They've worked on five different cars of mine over the past 10 years and I've been 110% satisfied with every encounter I've had with them. If you're wondering why I've had several cars in that time is because I pass them on to people who are down and out and I'm confident that the car will be reliable for them and I find another used one for myself. I've purchased cars as old as 2001 and Hi Tech has been my go to for them all. My last new car was 2014 and it's still running, it has 185,000 miles on it and it needed its first visit to the repair shop about six months ago. I thought that there was a problem with the rear end in the undercarriage, we live on a private gravel road, so the car takes a beating. He looked at it and determined that it was not a problem with the undercarriage and that all I needed was rear brakes. He fixed the rear brakes and now the car is golden, no more shaking and rattling. Great shop, great owner!

Be cautious if Pro Muffler & Brake asks you to purchase the parts for a repair…read more I paid them to replace a special-order bushing on my 4x4 pickup. They asked me to obtain the parts myself, as they had done during an earlier repair. After the work was completed, the new seal leaked. When I returned, they said they would charge me additional labor to correct the problem because I had supplied the parts. Their signed warranty states, "We will honor work that we have performed, and there are no exceptions." I understand that a shop may not warranty a customer-supplied part, but that limitation should have been clearly explained before the work was authorized--not after a problem appeared. I now have to pay another shop to determine whether the seal was improperly seated, the housing was damaged, the supplied part was defective, or something else caused the leak. My advice: insist that this shop obtain the required parts itself, and get the parts-and-labor warranty terms in writing before approving any repair.

I could not agree more with the previous comments here on Yelp. Matt is honest, patient and willing to work with a customer on whatever issues that needs to be resolved. I knew what had happened to my car - severe front wheel misalignment (too many potholes encountered) that it caused my front tires to wear out unevenly on the inside... it caused a flat - and Matt listened carefully and provide an open window when the shop can take a look. The shop made every effort to find the parts I needed (Volvo S80 - Lower Ball Joints needed replacements and broken windshield wiper pump) and they were able to acquire all the parts and completed the work while I was at the office. The car feels much smoother and I have no fear of my tires being worn out unevenly since the shop had also done the front wheel alignment after installing the lower ball joints. My Volvo S80 has over 150,000 miles and thanks to Matt's shop, it will see more miles in the near future. I should also mention that their prices were very reasonable and were lower than what I normally receive for a foreign car repair.

From the start, communication was extremely poor--I had to initiate every interaction. No one provided updates unless I repeatedly asked for them. Our vehicle was towed to the garage around 11 a.m. I was told the part needed to be ordered and wouldn't arrive until late that day. Since they closed at 5 p.m., the repair would be pushed to the next day. After 4 hours of no communication the next day I started calling once an hour--for status updates and was consistently told vague things like "they're working on it" or "they're finishing up." I never received a proactive call from them. It took them two days to switch out an alternator. Eventually, after all those follow-ups, I was told at 5:30 p.m. that the car was finally ready--but again, only because I called. When I asked the receptionist why I hadn't received any updates and why the delay occurred, she became aggressive and shouted at me, claiming they didn't receive the part until that morning and that it wasn't her fault. She continued yelling, to the point that I had to ask if this was how she typically treated customers. From the start of my experience I stood in the office many times without being acknowledged at all. The manager gave off a noticeably dismissive and possibly misogynistic attitude. Interestingly, things only began to move forward after my brother called to ask for an update. The one positive was that they provided transportation to a hotel, though we had to stay there for two days due to the extended repair time.
