Transparent, fast-working, honest body shop. No hidden fees, no shady business like a lot of body shops. High-quality work.

Indeed there were a few items that needed replacement, but certainly not the whole list I was presented with.

Buyer beware!! There are red flags all over this business if you are willing to look for them…read more I've had them do numerous jobs from oil changes and battery swaps, to diagnostic work (good luck), to system flushes, and the takeaway is always the same. This business does not care about your personal property, nor do they care about getting the job done right. They fall short in very simple/basic business practices - If you want updates on the service being provided, its on you to check in; they call you to pick your car up minutes before closing; they didn't know the battery of my car was located under the seat (for a foreign auto mechanic?); the list goes on and on. Scanning the reviews, you can begin to see this is an on-going issue. Recently over the last three months (and three separate diagnostic attempts), I was charged $2500 to fix a temperature sensor - after the third attempt, they instructed me to go to the dealer as they had neither the tools, nor the knowledge to do the work needed. The mechanic basically misdiagnosed the issue from the beginning. Now, they've washed their hands of the situation but not before gladly accepting the money. Mind you by the third attempt, there was zero urgency to get my car in and fixed. I was told I would have to wait a minimum of two weeks before anyone could re-diagnose the issue. (great business practice btw) At the end of the day, this was a stupidity tax on myself for not seeing the red flags and not reading the reviews before hand. Simple procedures should be fine here, but anything serious - I would avoid like the plague.

I bought a used Volvo station wagon. I called around to local mechanics to put a new timing belt…read moreon my car. Autobahn gave me a good price and even put in a used coolant overflow tank that I bought off eBay. I was impressed and they were quick. But this shop messed up the powered steering hose. The car never leaked fluids until this shop fixed the car. Now I put $8 in power steering fluid every week and it promptly leaks out all over the garage. I did take it back in to the shop to have them fix it. They did not charge me for the repair, but they also did not fix the hose. It still leaks. Also before I took my car into this shop the air conditioner worked. Now it doesn't. I can only imagine how much this is going to cost. Thank you guys for effing up my used car. The repair was affordable, but it seems you did $3000 worth of damage to my car. If you are in the market for a mechanic that does more damage to your car than they repair then Autobahn Imports in St Joseph, MI is the shop for you. Oh, there is more. I asked them to flush the transmission and I don't know if they did it. The transmission still slips and when I picked the car up the check transmission light was still on the instrument panel.

Took my car in to them to have the AC system serviced, and they damaged my serpentine belt…read moretensioner bolt while replacing the belt and AC compressor. There is obvious evidence of someone wrenching/over torqueing the mounting bolt (as the head was partially rounded), which lead to a stress failure. About a month after the AC service, the tensioner bolt snapped due to the torqueing, and left my car inoperable. When confronted, they claimed "we don't round over bolts here" and that it was fairly common for those bolts to "just break". When I pressed that they were the only shop to ever service my car, and it had to have been them doing something that caused the damage, the owner told me "I'm not going to argue with you. If you've got a problem, take it somewhere else". A hardened mounting bolt doesn't just randomly snap unless it is corroded (which it isn't), or a massive amount of extra stress was suddenly applied to it, like someone wrenching on it. I would've expected some cooperation at least, or for them to offer to at least take a look at what may have happened, but they just defaulted straight away to being fully defensive and standoffish. Customer service is definitely not their specialty. Had I saw some of the other fairly negative reviews, I would have never risked my car by taking it to Hardin's......... Be warned, they are definitely not worth your business.....

I braked hard twice and noticed a metal-on-metal grinding sound from the front. Purchased the car with only 35k miles on it. Looked around my area and found Pro Muffler & Brake Shop. Read all the reviews and I was impressed. So I reached out through Yelp. Received a response within 1 hour or less. Talked with them and they told me to bring it in. Took the car in. Walked around the car checked out what was going on and then I set an appointment for the next week for a diagnostic. They took pictures and I agreed to move forward with replacing front and rear brake pads. Came with a warranty of 24k miles/or 24 mos. They offered the bundle deal which I thought was a great deal. Although I am a woman and show up by myself, I know a little bit about cars, and got a pretty good idea about the current market value of parts, labor, and tax, these guys gave an honest quote. Dropped off the car at 9 a.m. and they texted back at 12:30 p.m. that the car was ready. I will use them again and definitely will refer them to others Thank you for the great customer service. The car feels great! Response time is awesome .
