I hired CertaPro Painters to paint the exterior of my house and replace or repair any bad siding or dry rot they found while painting. The good: they arrived when they said they would, communication was good, they finished the job quickly, and the quality of the work overall was very good. The bad: some of the siding repairs they did must have just been quick fixes that would last until they got paid because some of the siding is back to looking just like it did before - except with fresh paint; also a bush in my front yard got sprayed and is now partially brown (permanently?). I also want to note that CertaPro actually subcontracted my job to another painting company. They may do that with all jobs, I don't know, but they did not mention that to me before I hired them (maybe that's on me for not doing more research on them first). read more

LONG story short, We hiredCertaPro Painters of Salem-Eugene to fix a bad paint job on our brand new trim work in our house. After three attempts to fix and paint it and two crews it was worse than imaginable. Sander dust covering entire house. Over spray on all the walls and floors. 14 ladder scratches on our hardwood floors. Runs, clips, brush marks, putty, and tape painted into the trim. I could go on but you get the point. They left us with $20,000 in damages to our floors, walls, and trim. read more

We were very disappointed with our experience with CertaPro and we will not be using them in the future. We were rescheduled multiple times with very little notice. The painters that came did not complete the job, leaving obvious spots that were not gone over with a second coat. To their credit, they came back when I pointed out the unfinished job, but the project lead admitted he didn't check his work before he left which is why there were so many missed spots. My husband and I have to repaint most of our trim as well, because they did a poor job taping and protecting the already painted trim. When I shared my experience with the manager, Michelle, I got no response expect the invoice for the bill. read more

We had a wonderful experience with CertaPro. Very shortly after contacting them for more info, we received a call from Cathy who was very friendly and professional and got us set up with an in home estimate to fit our schedule. Jeff came and did a very thorough job measuring our rooms and let us know that day what the estimated cost would be. He also checked in periodically throughout the painting to make sure things were going good and was kind enough to come over on his day off to help us match up our trim. We felt CertaPro was the best choice for the job and proceeded to get on the schedule which they made sure was as soon as possible for us. The paint crew was very respectful of our home and space and did a wonderful job painting and making sure everything was just how we wanted it. Wow. I am rarely moved to write reviews of any kind; I just don't ever feel either that wronged or satisfied. I will note that this is strictly a review of their customer service. I've seen their work and it is very good. Jeff came out Wednesday on our request for an estimate for some patch/repair painting on our chimney face. He gave us a good price and we signed the documents to go ahead and schedule the work. We called on Friday with some questions about the prep work and didn't hear back. On Monday, we received a call from Cathy to tell us that Jeff was no longer with them and, by the way, they don't do small jobs in the spring and summer. We will have to wait until they get a free half day or a cancellation. They said they would understand if we found someone else to do the work and we wouldn't be held to the contract. My point here is that Jeff's time and our time was wasted, and now we get to start the whole thing over. This could have been easily avoided if CertaPro had kept their employees informed so they could have then informed their prospective clients up front. read more

Disappointing experience. Things started out well with a prompt, reasonable estimate. It went downhill from there. We were initially told our project could be completed in mid-July. Once mid-July rolled around, our project was pushed out a month. Worse yet, we were told that the job would require an additional $575 from the original estimate. I certainly understand difficult of scheduling during the busy season. Still, the projected delay and unexpected extra cost was unacceptable. read more

I had a wonderful experience with this company. Cathy couldn't be nicer. The estimate process was painless. I had it the day after Jeff came and looked at the size of my place and found out what I wanted to have done. Even the financing process was pretty simple and quick. But the best part was the amazing job David Roshau and his crew did. They are consummate professionals. They went the extra mile to ensure that their work was done in the best way possible. They made excellent suggestions as to the kinds of paints to choose and they even made great suggestions regarding the colors I wanted to use. I had this company paint my house in the fall of 2019. They caused damage when they pressure washed house. They did not fix it but merely painted over the damage. I had to call the regional representative back 3 times to try and repair the damage. They were all nice folks and tried to fix it. Still can see the damage in the wood. They pushed to just get it done and move on. read more

Highly recommend this company. Everyone was on time as discussed. They did a walk through of house a day prior and confirmed everything was good before the job was done. Painter was very immaculate, a lot of the paint job is in the masking and was spot on!! Also, very quick compared to the last time our house was painted. Today 11/14/18 I called CertaPro Painters and a customer service picked up the phone and I was giving her my information regarding the estimate and she said that the company only does big job only and the minimum is $1000 she say that they don't do any type of job below $1000. But after I hang up the phone I want to their webpage and I did not see anything regarding big jobs or the minimum of $1000 for a job so that's what I'm complaining about. I will just take small projects two other company and they have lost future business! read more

We had a large project that I needed done perfectly because so much of our home was involved (painting interior walls, cabinets and support poles/beams). CertaPro was everything I had hoped for. CertaPro did a fabulous job for us! First of all we were trying to schedule the painting too late into the fall, so we really had to work with the weather. They came up with a time between rain rainstorms and sent crew that got the paint job done in one day. The job was painting all the trim on a two-story house with yard is on a slope. The painters were efficient, polite, and gracious. When CertaPro asked for my feedback, I remarked on a place or two that I thought was a little bit smudged. They sent the crew back out on the next sunny day, and the crew worked for a full afternoon to make all of the areas right. Jeff and Cathy do not really want new business. I tried desperately to hire them, but have just two simple questions that my sales rep will not answer. I asked repeatedly for Jeff or Cathy to contact me. After 4 months, Cathy finally contacted me today and told me I was only to talk to my sales rep. So dumb! Who does this? Additionally, they keep sending me emails (I didn't ask to be on their list) for 20% off interior paint during the winter. My sales rep will not honor this discount and not tell me why. I have not signed a contract, have only had an estimate, so they cannot say I am not a new customer. I have been desperately trying to hire them since September. I just want them to get the estimate correct (sales rep doesn't know how to count doors) and honor the 20% discount they keep emailing me about. But I cannot get anyone to talk to me. It must be nice to be busy enough to just blow people off like this. read more
