I wanted to get out of my hotel room and it was way to hot to hike, so I decided to check out Echo. Tucked on a major street in Echo it felt like the bar Cheers walking in. I was the newly, but I felt welcomed. I decided to check out their flight and take advantage of their $5 wine Wednesday glasses. I tried the rose, muscat, and medium red. All were amazing, but it was something about the rose that was refreshing and light. So, this was my $5 glass choice! I sipped this on their relaxing outdoor space that has tons of seating and shade. I took my time reading and enjoying every sip. I decided to take a bottle of muscat home! It is a pretty unique flavor with just a hint of sweetness. Thank you for this experience Echo Ridge!! We tried 5 wines...all were tasty but we particularly enjoyed the last 2... one was a 100% Cab Sauv and the other was 100% Merlot. It's rare to find wines that are 100% one varietal. They don't have a lot but what they have is high quality and crafted with care. What was really cool... was they had a rock as an example of the Rocks that are in the Rocks district. This area is covered in these rocks which are very heavy and big... and the vines seem to thrive in this environment. A Frenchman long ago saw this area and just knew that he could produce wines from grapes grown in this region.

They had customized sign for myself and the family. our fire pit and carriage ride were ready! We were able to leave our s'more fixings and hot cocoa at our reserved fire pit. They provided complimentary hot cocoa. There was wine, organic soaps, Christmas wreaths and Christmas trees all available at a very low cost. The carriage ride was spectacular! We brought a blanket along because it can get very cold, but nothing unbearable. We were able to see the wide open views. We could see Miles and miles of vineyards and wildlife. Our tour guide Suzy had so much knowledge and she was just so friendly. She gave stories about the surrounding lands and knowledge on winemaking. What a gem she is to the whole operation! Our carriage ride lasted about 25min and it was worth the $40 for the four of us. After our carriage ride we were able to settle down right next to the coziest fire pit. We had chairs and tables provided for our belongs. Wood would brought to us constantly and we were checked on frequently. Bathrooms were available and were able to sit there over an hour. I would Definitely recommend this one of a kind experience! We will be back and I look forward to supporting this small business! Tips: bring s'more fixings, sticks to toast marshmallows water, hot coco hot dogs/snacks! Parking is very convenient! She led us to a covered table on the patio and told us that she would be back with a few things. When Margie came back, she had wine glasses, a water carafe, a pack of crackers and some water glasses. What a cute little set up on the patio we had! As we tried each wine on the tasting list, Margie explained to us all about it and then her personal reasons for enjoying that varietal. I think it made the tasting that much more special! Our tasting lasted a little bit over an hour, Margie always knowing the perfect time to give us our next wine pour! There are high top tables and cozy gathering spots. I appreciated the effort put into making the space inviting with colorful chairs, good lighting, and festive conversation areas. We had a long list of wines from which to select. My husband was better at asking good questions than I after our long day of travel, but we both ended up choosing flights of nice wines to sample. Of the 6 we tried, I think our favorite was the Albariño white. All were good, and we also really enjoyed the reserve Malbec. We noshed on the pesto Brie and the fig jam flatbread to accompany our wine. The flatbread came with goat cheese which we can go either way for us. This goat cheese seemed mild and our server recommended a drizzle of balsamic to balance it out. Great suggestion! The icing on top of our visit was our server - whose name unfortunately can't recall. When we asked for recommendations for other local wineries to visit, she offered to make us a list and wrote the down for us. Above and beyond kindness! We'd come here often if we were locals and I highly recommend this establishment to those visiting the area. Cheers!
