What made the experience even better was Dina. She welcomed us in, provided lots of information about each wine, and provided us with tips about which other wineries we may also enjoy, and even suggested a great place for lunch. We work in the industry, so we appreciated that she had the ability to gauge our interest to determine how much info to deliver on each wine. Our favorites with the Cabernet Franc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. Olivia's favorites were everything in the dog tasting menu,

The drive alone through Les Collines Vineyard up to their barn was beautiful. We were warmly greeted by Laura and she took us down to the barrel room for barrel tasting and was very knowledgeable about the whole process and history of Garrison Creek. Back up in the tasting room there was a small plate of cheese and crackers as we finished our tasting with delicious wines. Since it was a private tasting with our family only, Laura even let our son sit on the fork lift when he definitely enjoyed. Overall, the experience was great and well worth the $25 fee that is also waived with bottle purchase. Beautiful grounds, great wine, and friendly service... exactly what a wine tasting should be.

A tasting fee of $5 gets you their SBS (a white), and then between 2-4 reds, including a Syrah blend (Windthrow), and two different Cab Savs. I enjoy the wines at Cadaretta, especially the SBS. It's a Sav Blanc/Semillon mix which makes it a good intro to Sav Blanc (which many of my friends dislike) since the herbal character is somewhat tempered by the Semillon. The Windthrow is also good, but I'm a sucker for Syrah. The employees are friendly, the wines are good, and the ambiance is trendy yet inviting, so I recommend this as a stop on a Walla Walla wine tour.

On Saturday, we tried 2 whites and 4 reds. Their red blends are Bordeaux style blends where a couple of them are favorites of NPH. (Yes, the actor Neil Patrick Harris. He's even a club member who has his face on their label of the Illusionist.) The tasting room is spacious inside with really comfy couches and chairs. They have a pretty good size patio area but since it was cold... we decided to stay indoors. I bet the summer and early fall season is great for sitting outside to enjoy their wines. They have LOADS of music! If LPs are your thing.. this could very well be your Nirvana. They have all sorts of LPs... all genres. They even have a section for sale. What's super fun... you can pick out an LP and they will play it for you. So... have a sip of wine... browse the many shelves of LPs.... sit back and enjoy the sounds of music with the sips of wine. Also... just a really chill place to hang out and drink wine with friends and family.
