I recently took delivery of a 2023 Tesla Model Y and was searching around for a detailer to tint my windows. After doing some extensive research on options in my area, I decided to give Ceramic Garage a try based on their flawless Yelp ratings and raving reviews. The general sentiment for people who had work done here is that they loved the customer service and quality of work. Spoiler alert, they definitely lived up to their reputation. During the initial consultation process, I worked with Elitania to learn more about the shop's product offerings and process. She was very knowledgeable in helping explain the differences between XPEL's product lines and showing me around the work areas. She was super patient with all my questions and allowed me to take a look at some of the vehicles they were working on. I found her very friendly, and approachable, and appreciated that she did not push me to go with their services. She helped present all the information so I could make the decision that felt right for me. At the end of our consultation, she provided me with a quote that I could use as a data point in my research on who to give my business to. After some careful evaluation, I decided to give my business to Ceramic Garage for several reasons. 1. Great initial consultation process with Elitania where I walked away with all the information I needed to know. For other window tint shops, they couldn't fully answer my questions or I had to ask questions to understand their process. 2. One of the few shops in the area that carries XPEL Prime XR+. Because we live in Central California, the heat can become unbearable during the summer so maximum heat rejection is important. I appreciated the little XPEL kiosk on their front desk where you could get a feel for the differences in heat rejection between the different tint product lines. 3. To my surprise, Robert contacted me after the initial consultation offering a little more pricing discount because of all the services I was asking for. 4. Clean presentable front reception area and back work area. Their shop felt more professional and put together than other window tinting detailers who felt like they were doing it out of a messy garage. 5. Comparable prices to the competition. Felt like a good value given everything they bring to the table. We set an appointment, and I dropped the vehicle off on a Thursday morning. The turnaround time was rapid, as I pick up the car later in the afternoon. I was very impressed with their quality of work and did not notice any issues with the installation. This next portion is where they really excelled and lived up to their reputation. After driving the vehicle off, I noticed a blue hue on the front windshield that was very distracting and made it difficult to pay attention to the road. I contacted them about it, expressing that this would be a safety issue given how distracting it was. Robert explained why this might be happening and we agreed to give it a few days to let the moisture dry up and see if there is an improvement. Several days later, the blue hue went away, and it turns out this was due to moisture right after the installation, which amplified the effect. There was a secondary issue where certain portions of the front windshield looked like a heat mirage during a hot day. I contacted them back, and Robert was willing to work with me to have the tint removed if I was unhappy with the issue. Several days later on an unscheduled appointment, I brought the vehicle in for them to look at it. Robert was very accommodating to take me in without an appointment. We drove the vehicle around and I learned that the problems were due to manufacturing defects with the front windshield that get amplified when tinted. Since this was a safety issue for me, they helped remove the film that same day. Excellent, they were willing to accommodate me last minute. We also worked out an acceptable compromise since I spent a bunch of money to get the front windshield tinted only to have it removed shortly afterwards. I am very happy with their willingness to work with me and this says a lot about how they treat their customers. These guys are exceptional at what they do; if you have any issues, they are willing to work with you to resolve them. Highly recommend them for all your needs. I was searching for a place to get my 2019 Mustang windows tinted. I got a lot of quotes for many different places in the Manteca/Modesto area.
