Cracked door frame from water damage.
    Sabrena S.

Well, where do I begin. I have been in my house for 4 months and I have had to get work done basically since I moved in. The LED lights have blown out and I have put in warranty tickets 5 times. My keypad on the front door went out and that was replaced now there is water coming in my back door and I am being told that the warranty doesn't cover "Wind Driven Rain", so my rotted baseboards are not going to be replaced. I trusted my realtor but he is just as bad as the realtor who works for Century Communities. Forget about hiring an attorney I would never buy a house from this builder and if you meet Trent Ishmael, my realtor, run because he's no better than the company. This has been a bad experience since I moved in, stay away from Century Communities because their houses are poorly built and their warranty company is not helpful either.

Do not buy Century. The sheer amount of negligence is shameful. I bought a Century home in Sunterra community and I have had nothing but issues for 7 months and constant construction. It has not been a week I haven't had someone at my home since I moved in. They give you a year warranty so they don't care to fix properly or in a timely manner. I had my upstairs shower flood because it wasn't built properly and it had to be completely redone. We went without a shower upstairs for 2 months. Now my downstairs shower is cracking and I'm almost sure it wasn't done correctly. My tile in my kitchen was coming out, my ac didn't work and they left me without it for a week, my roof was warped, my closet fell down, my front door won't close properly. Not to mention I am currently looking at cement floors because all my floors come up and have been since the first week of move in. They have made 5 attempts and everytime pull up planks and just leave it, so when I walk in my home I see cement because they have pulled up floors and just left them. Apparently there was a moisture issue and they put the floors down anyways although no one has proof of a slab reading on move in. I have had them come twice and do readings and it came back high moisture. Meanwhile I'm living in a construction site with floors pulled up and no sense of urgency to fix anything. They now want a 3rd opinion the moisture issue. 7 months of hell. Stay away from century and Sunterra as well as Cornelius tile who everything they touched in this home wasn't done correctly. You are not a person to these people. I am a veteran with severe anxiety and this has put me through the roof. Please stay away from these people. This is a new build nightmare

My yard after the contracted warranty landscapers install French drains. They replanted dead grass and this is what it looks like now.

Standard Cabinets weren't very good. But with Trendmaker... the standards were other builders. The rep was excellent. Very responsive to our needs. The construction manager Perry was great. Very attentive and professional. The customer service after we purchased was AMAZING. We purchased an inventory home. We noticed that it looked like one of the under cabinet light was never installed. Husband really wanted it. I did not think Trendmaker would fix this and told my husband not to worry about it. He insisted and called Trendmaker... they fixed it with NO ISSUES. Everyone that we have in our house to do extra things... talks about how well built the home is. I love our home and love Trendmaker!!!

Brandon…read moreBates has never come to my home to see the issue, rarely answers his phone and is slow to answer emails. He and Tri Pointe refuse to stand behind the customer when the products used in my 4 year old home are already falling apart, specifically my wood flooring. Brandon Bates is not at all helpful and is fast to blame the customer for the problems encountered instead of standing behind the customer and helping. The flooring installed in my home by Houston Carpets (by the builder) required a moisture barrier which was not used. Regal Flooring, the manufacturer, refuses to say anything except a moisture barrier was not used which was required in their installation instructions. This is when you would expect Brandon at Tri Pointe to step in and help their customer. This is not the situation with Brandon Bates at Tri Pointe. I have only used what Regal Flooring says is safe on my flooring when cleaning and have taken the very best care of my home. There is nothing I can do to save this floor as it was not installed properly and Regal floors will not return calls either. Brandon should help me with this but doesn't. RED FLAG WARNING - DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM THIS BUILDER, YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THE END RESULTS AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY.

Let me say that I had the pleasure of meeting up with realtor Jordan. We've been looking for a home…read morefor several months and we've dealt with some very unprofessional realtors. Jordan was a breath of fresh air. He showed us a few properties and was very knowledgeable about the area, especially the schools...as we are new to the area and looking for a good school district. When we met Jordan he was wearing a mask (we were happy about that), and he made sure to spray our hands with sanitizer...such a nice touch and made us feel comfortable. We went to lunch and talked about what we were looking for, I tried to pay the bill, but Jordan insisted he take care of it. We had a great day and looking forward to viewing houses again with Jordan. We weren't impressed with the building materials on one of the houses, as the windows had plastic frames and they didn't even match up to the locks and some of the door frames already were cracking around the edges. That was our only concerns. I tried to close the window and I was afraid it would break. With that said, Jordan is our realtor and we want nobody else to help find us our new home. We can sleep well at night knowing Jordan is on our team! Thanks for everything Jordan!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE BUILDERS! Not only ended up losing $5K but also no home after a year of…read moresigning our first contract. I want to write this review in four parts so that I can at least save few people from the same agony that we have been through with this builder for over a year now. In addition, I feel it is a safety concern also with all the high tension wires underneath the lots 1, 2,3 4 and 21. Here you go... Part 1: We signed our first contract with them in June 2018 for Yellowstone and 2060 sq ft on Lot 24 and paid $5000 earnest money. While signing the contract, all the sweet talk and said within 6-months your home will be ready! They said 2-3 weeks to get the permits, but literally took 2-3 months to even start the construction. Finally, in November, they poured the slab and when we visited the site, the house perimeter looked smaller than a typical 2000+ sq. ft home. Naturally, my wife and I asked for the blue print, and to our shock, the house is actually 1620 sq. ft only and they added 440 sq. ft of garage area into the total sq ft. Of course we confronted, and their response, "Oh, sorry it's a mistake". Note that this is from a "Home Builder"! They did cancel the contract and returned the check. Part 2: They offered me a 1995 sq ft home on a different lot for a similar price per sq. ft, and they said this is a premium lot and we are doing you a favor! I did not care if it is a premium lot or not, my wife and I just wanted my 2060 sq ft house in a lot we chose in the first place. Nevertheless, we took it and paid again $5K with new contract for Lot 4 in November 2018. The owner of this building company said, your house would be ready by end of April 2019, or worst-case end of May 2019. Soon it turned out be a nightmare and we realized the biggest mistake of our lives. Not only ended up losing $5K but also no home after a year of signing our first contract. Part 3: Three months into signing the contract, forget about the completion of house, they do not even have permits to start the construction. Remind you, while signing; they said 2-3 weeks for the permits! Finally, in March 2019, I get a call saying, "the permits are approved and you will see construction move so fast". As usual, nothing happened until April 2019 and the reason by them, "Oh bank is taking time to release funds". Now the twist in the plot, in April, they said we found a high-tension wire underneath your lot that is going from Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 21. We cannot build anything until CenterPoint removed this dangerous wire, otherwise our workers may die if we hit this wire while digging during construction. Again, nothing moved until June 2019. Part 4: The builder called me in May, and said, "Centerpoint is asking us to pay $9K, and we told them we are just going to build on top it". I said "Absolutely not, and I don't feel safe having a high-tension wire underneath my lot!" They immediately changed the story, and said it is just a normal wire and is not dangerous at all. Naturally, I asked them to provide a letter from both CenterPoint and the builder saying, "The wires are removed from lot 4 and it's safe to construct/live & a genuine date of completion of house". Not only they did not provide any letter but the response we got, "With regards to "the history" and your feelings that ESQ has been dishonest. You signed a contract which our company has abided by. This contract clearly states all of the things that you now are having issues with. Namely, that our only obligation with regards to timing is to acquire permits within 180 days and to build the home within 2 years. The contract also clearly states that time frames given to you by us are estimates at best." July 2019, we have neither a house nor the state of the construction, and needless to say, we canceled the agreement and lost our $5K. We not only suffered financially, but also mentally and emotionally! I hope and wish no one goes through this hell again.
