Let me say that I had the pleasure of meeting up with realtor Jordan. We've been looking for a home…read morefor several months and we've dealt with some very unprofessional realtors. Jordan was a breath of fresh air. He showed us a few properties and was very knowledgeable about the area, especially the schools...as we are new to the area and looking for a good school district. When we met Jordan he was wearing a mask (we were happy about that), and he made sure to spray our hands with sanitizer...such a nice touch and made us feel comfortable. We went to lunch and talked about what we were looking for, I tried to pay the bill, but Jordan insisted he take care of it. We had a great day and looking forward to viewing houses again with Jordan. We weren't impressed with the building materials on one of the houses, as the windows had plastic frames and they didn't even match up to the locks and some of the door frames already were cracking around the edges. That was our only concerns. I tried to close the window and I was afraid it would break. With that said, Jordan is our realtor and we want nobody else to help find us our new home. We can sleep well at night knowing Jordan is on our team! Thanks for everything Jordan!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE BUILDERS! Not only ended up losing $5K but also no home after a year of…read moresigning our first contract. I want to write this review in four parts so that I can at least save few people from the same agony that we have been through with this builder for over a year now. In addition, I feel it is a safety concern also with all the high tension wires underneath the lots 1, 2,3 4 and 21. Here you go... Part 1: We signed our first contract with them in June 2018 for Yellowstone and 2060 sq ft on Lot 24 and paid $5000 earnest money. While signing the contract, all the sweet talk and said within 6-months your home will be ready! They said 2-3 weeks to get the permits, but literally took 2-3 months to even start the construction. Finally, in November, they poured the slab and when we visited the site, the house perimeter looked smaller than a typical 2000+ sq. ft home. Naturally, my wife and I asked for the blue print, and to our shock, the house is actually 1620 sq. ft only and they added 440 sq. ft of garage area into the total sq ft. Of course we confronted, and their response, "Oh, sorry it's a mistake". Note that this is from a "Home Builder"! They did cancel the contract and returned the check. Part 2: They offered me a 1995 sq ft home on a different lot for a similar price per sq. ft, and they said this is a premium lot and we are doing you a favor! I did not care if it is a premium lot or not, my wife and I just wanted my 2060 sq ft house in a lot we chose in the first place. Nevertheless, we took it and paid again $5K with new contract for Lot 4 in November 2018. The owner of this building company said, your house would be ready by end of April 2019, or worst-case end of May 2019. Soon it turned out be a nightmare and we realized the biggest mistake of our lives. Not only ended up losing $5K but also no home after a year of signing our first contract. Part 3: Three months into signing the contract, forget about the completion of house, they do not even have permits to start the construction. Remind you, while signing; they said 2-3 weeks for the permits! Finally, in March 2019, I get a call saying, "the permits are approved and you will see construction move so fast". As usual, nothing happened until April 2019 and the reason by them, "Oh bank is taking time to release funds". Now the twist in the plot, in April, they said we found a high-tension wire underneath your lot that is going from Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 21. We cannot build anything until CenterPoint removed this dangerous wire, otherwise our workers may die if we hit this wire while digging during construction. Again, nothing moved until June 2019. Part 4: The builder called me in May, and said, "Centerpoint is asking us to pay $9K, and we told them we are just going to build on top it". I said "Absolutely not, and I don't feel safe having a high-tension wire underneath my lot!" They immediately changed the story, and said it is just a normal wire and is not dangerous at all. Naturally, I asked them to provide a letter from both CenterPoint and the builder saying, "The wires are removed from lot 4 and it's safe to construct/live & a genuine date of completion of house". Not only they did not provide any letter but the response we got, "With regards to "the history" and your feelings that ESQ has been dishonest. You signed a contract which our company has abided by. This contract clearly states all of the things that you now are having issues with. Namely, that our only obligation with regards to timing is to acquire permits within 180 days and to build the home within 2 years. The contract also clearly states that time frames given to you by us are estimates at best." July 2019, we have neither a house nor the state of the construction, and needless to say, we canceled the agreement and lost our $5K. We not only suffered financially, but also mentally and emotionally! I hope and wish no one goes through this hell again.

The quality and workmanship is far below substandard. no concrete was used on the shower floor and…read moreno impermeable membrane. also in the shower, they used sheetrock instead of waterproof backer board. Chesp, cheap, cheap. I am now spending $12K to remediate these issues, as the shower floor flexed during showers. Also the dry wall work is terrible as every seam is visible. There is a noticeable paucity of electrical outlets. Pretty to the eye, terrible quality!

We bought a brand-new Coventry home back in March as first-time homebuyers. They advertise…read moreIntegrity as their main core value. "We are proud to deliver the finest quality workmanship, and we back it up with an industry-leading warranty program in order to provide you and your family the assurance and peace of mind that comes with a sound investment." Unfortunately, our experience after closing has been the complete opposite of what they say. Our walkthrough was short as the construction manager had other appointments that day, I was told things not addressed at walkthrough can be addressed through warranty. On the same day of getting our keys, we noticed several issues throughout the house that wasn't seen in the walkthrough. We took time-stamped photos of everything, including cracks in our granite countertop around the cooktop, chipped cabinets, damaged flooring around the cabinets, and other workmanship issues. We were told to put in a warranty request, and it will get resolved. It did not. The frustrating part hasn't even been the defects--it's been dealing with the warranty process. Minor issues were addressed within the first couple weeks. The construction manager said the major issues will take time, but he will get it fixed. After a few more weeks of not hearing anything, I called the Construction manager, and he said ALL of the major issues were labeled as "cosmetic" because they weren't pointed out during the final walkthrough. Apparently, if you don't catch every single defect while walking through a brand-new house, they think they're no longer responsible for it. The granite countertop has been the biggest headache. We were first told the cracks weren't covered because it was cosmetic, but anyone with a brain knows it's been poorly installed. Then they had the audacity to try and blame us and say we cracked the countertop, (until we showed them timestamped photos). After months of going back and forth, Coventry said they will epoxy the cracks but not replace. They then send an epoxy repair technician. The technician looked at the countertop and said repairing it would be a waste because the underlying stress causing the cracks would still be there and will continue cracking. I told the CM I want the countertop replaced, I have received no response again. I understand that every new home is going to have punch-list items. That's not my complaint. My complaint is that we've now spent 4 months trying to get legitimate workmanship issues addressed and they keep trying to say it is not covered under warranty. If you're buying from Coventry, my advice is simple: Don't. We didn't expect perfection--but we expect accountability and to stand by your work when problems are found.

Standard Cabinets weren't very good. But with Trendmaker... the standards were other builders. The rep was excellent. Very responsive to our needs. The construction manager Perry was great. Very attentive and professional. The customer service after we purchased was AMAZING. We purchased an inventory home. We noticed that it looked like one of the under cabinet light was never installed. Husband really wanted it. I did not think Trendmaker would fix this and told my husband not to worry about it. He insisted and called Trendmaker... they fixed it with NO ISSUES. Everyone that we have in our house to do extra things... talks about how well built the home is. I love our home and love Trendmaker!!!

Extremely Disappointing Sales Experience…read more My experience with the TRI Pointe Homes sales team was extremely disappointing. Throughout the process, I felt that important information was not communicated clearly or consistently, and some of what I was told did not match what I later discovered or understood from the documentation. When someone is making one of the largest purchases of their life, the sales team should be transparent, accurate, and straightforward from the beginning. Customers should not have to repeatedly question statements, discover important details later, or feel that information was presented in a misleading way. Based on my experience, I seriously question the level of transparency and professionalism demonstrated during the sales process. I would strongly recommend that prospective buyers independently verify every representation, request important promises in writing, and carefully review all contracts, incentives, fees, and disclosures before signing anything. I expected a much higher standard of honesty, communication, and professionalism from a major homebuilder. Unfortunately, my experience with the sales team did not meet that standard.
