We have an excessive amount of aphids on our tree so I decided to pick up some more lady bugs. There are around a dozen at the top and at least two inches thick at the bottom of DEAD, MOLDY LADY BUGS. I don't know if they're waiting for all of them to die before they toss them out or if they are hoping someone will buy them in that state but it is beyond disheartening that any live creature is kept in those conditions. And it is just generally unbelievable that there is so little care in quality that products can be left to rot and still be on display for sale. Disgusting!

I hate Home Depot. It's huge, overwhelming, the flowers and plants are dead and the staff is more…read moreoften than not, poorly-informed or unwilling to help. But then there's places like Costello's and perhaps they don't have lumber (I could be wrong on this) or a huge selection of power tools (they have a decent selection, don't get me wrong) but they have heart and soul and really great staff! And hot tubs! We recently popped in here for a Father's Day gift after the sticker shock on those good flashlights that require a battery that costs more than the flashlight itself (because you use this battery on other power tools, but my father would only need it for the battery). There was someone to help us and also let us know that we had just missed a good sale but that they do rotating sales regularly etc, so check back. We ended up with a Leatherman instead but these apparently go on sale, too. The point is that they have good sales and I'd come back here any day before I stepped foot into a Home Depot. Also because I like admiring hot tubs and thinking back to when I had a hot tub and real winters.
