We ended up speaking with Vito, he was awesome. Not only did he calculate exactly what we needed, but gave us a couple of ideas on different materials. My sister's walkway was done before July 4th, she was so happy with the work and impressed with Vito's knowledge that we had to call Vito the following Friday so we can order more material to redo part of her backyard. USE CAUTION & BEWARE…read more My wife and I had a very unpleasant as well as uninformative experience during our visit to Powerhouse Mason Supply in Amityville, while searching for stone wall products. Although their display walls were beautiful and offered a large selection for viewing different products and styles, they use a coding number for what your viewing and will not share the name and style of that particular stone selection. They claim the names and styles aren't in their locations computer system only the code numbers. So as it was explained if you liked a particular display stone and decided to purchase it the receipt would only show the code number and you would not display the name and style on your receipt. And apparently there were no brochures, so when we asked for a particular name and style the sales representative was unable to assist us. So as a self employed 40+ years experienced business man I can only conclude that what they're trying to do is discourage consumers from shopping around for products that they may have viewed at their location by not offering any product information, so you as the consumer are limited with your knowledge of exactly what your researching and can possibly discourage you from getting better pricing elsewhere and possibly ensuring the sale through them only.

Not only did Anthony Albanese/owner accommodate me, he had one of his workers use the forklift to take down a huge container of rocks and let me pick my choice! The workmen even dug through the rocks with me. It does not get any better than that! And that was for an art project. I can only imagine the guidance and work that is offered withmasonry jobs. So I call again and they say they don't have a window guy and I should call the Seaford location. So, I call Seaford and the young lady who answers the phone forwards me to the window guy, his or her voice mail is full. So I call back and they put someone else on the call who doesn't know anything about windows. She takes the measurements and says all the window people are in a meeting and someone would call me back. I doubt I will ever hear back from them...if I do, I will change this review but if its one star, safe to assume they didn't call.

The sales guy points to the handmade sign on the wall stating ALL returns are charged a 20% restocking fee so it'll cost me $4 to return one bag of sand and for them to walk it to the pallet and throw it on top. After I said "Even on a bag of sand?!" he just pointed over his shoulder and said nothing. So I decided NOT to purchase the other item I was intending to buy and will stop by Lowes/Home Depot tomorrow. "Restocking" charges may be applicable to some large items, but don't screw the customer just to make a buck or to discourage returns---it also discourages repeat purchases.

We have an excessive amount of aphids on our tree so I decided to pick up some more lady bugs. There are around a dozen at the top and at least two inches thick at the bottom of DEAD, MOLDY LADY BUGS. I don't know if they're waiting for all of them to die before they toss them out or if they are hoping someone will buy them in that state but it is beyond disheartening that any live creature is kept in those conditions. And it is just generally unbelievable that there is so little care in quality that products can be left to rot and still be on display for sale. Disgusting!
