Upon scheduling the MRI appointment the question "do you work around sheet metal was asked. I was confused as to why the question was asked and stated "yes". However, immediately after I redacted my statement and further elaborated that I work in construction , however I don't directly deal with metal. The ball was in the staff's hand with the answer and they should have put "no". I received a phone call one day prior to my scheduled appointment and was told for a second time that I would have to get an xray done on my eye to ensure no sheet metal was in there (AFTER I CONFIRMED THE INITIALLY THAT I DID NOT IN FACT WORK AROUND SHEET METAL.) Once I informed the attendant that I did not want the establishment to bill my insurance, I was met frustration in the tone and was informed the appointment for my MRI was cancelled , prolonging my attempt to seek medical attention. The administrative manager became involved and was ignoring the fact that I didn't work around sheet metal. This left me with the impression that they wanted to milk my insurance. The admin manager was no help with the situation and kept ignoring the fact that the day of scheduling the MRI appointment I said NO and did not take the situation seriously. Overall, the professionalism of addressing the issue was dissatisfying and not taken seriously.

He reassured me if I needed out he would let me immediately!! About halfway though I started to panic it was closing off my throat and the tears were running down the sides of my face. He stopped immediately and pulled me out, got me water. I asked if we could try again and we did!! I made it through with the gentle guidance of Mike!! UMD has radiology facilities in Temecula and Murrieta. I had a MRI and X-ray done at their Temecula location. It was for an appointment with an orthopedic doctor I was seeing there. Staff was friendly, helpful, organized, no hassles--what a breath of fresh air compared to Radnet! They have recently opened up for outside referrals. So, I scheduled an appointment with them for an annual preventative CT scan at this location in Murrieta. This location has been opened since November. It's brand spanking new with a state of the art CT machine. They are working to build up a clientele. Please check them out!

Immediately after that, the ultrasound technician collected me from the waiting room and took me into the ultrasound room. Her name is Kim. She made me comfortable on the table and then meticulously conducted the ultrasound of my thyroid. I appreciate that Kim is highly-focused and very experienced in these matters. The entire experience was comfortable.

We started with a 2D scan, but as soon as we experienced the 3D/4D scans, we knew there was no going back. Seeing our baby in such detail felt like we were really meeting him even before birth, every little kick, movement, and even facial expression! Week by week, we watched him grow. I'd heard that after 34 weeks, it's hard to see much, but we kept coming at 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39 weeks and every visit was magical. When he was finally born at 39 weeks and 4 days, I couldn't believe how perfectly he matched the ultrasound images, his hands, his movements, his little expressions...everything! I feel so thankful for the memories we captured even before our son arrived. Now that I am holding my baby in my arms, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I want to say a big, heartfelt thank you to Esperanza for showing us the best moments of our baby and making this journey unforgettable. Unique Ultrasound gave us a way to connect with our little one in a way I will cherish forever.
