My daughter was hearing some critters scurrying around in the ceiling of her upstairs rooms. She…read moresays it was mostly in the morning. I was trying to help her find an exterminator to help. I decided to look on Yelp, because they have helped me find contractors before. I chose Pest Medics because they responded within a hour. They also (responding through text) told me their range of pricing and could come out the next day. I'm assuming Javan is the owner of the company. Him and another worker came within their window of time. They were very cordial to us as they entered. They listened to my daughter explain the issues she was having. They walked through the house (inside and out) inspecting where the critters could be coming in and out of. They finally found one of the entry points near the roof. They explained about the one way gate like thing they put up to let (we think it was squirrels) out, but could not get back in. My daughter was impressed that there was not cruelty to the animals. She just wanted them out of her house. All in all, it took the a total of 45 minutes to complete the job. Not mentioning the price, they charged the top of the range they gave her. There was no paperwork to show what was done. Just a receipt for the job (on her phone) and a 30 day verbal guarantee for the work they had done. This is were the stars started coming off!! About a week had passed and my daughter was still hearing squirrels in the roof. She called Javan and company to come back out because the problem was still there. They made a appointment to come back two days later with a no show and no call. My daughter call them within a half hour left within that window of time they were suppose to have come out. Javan telling her he got tied up with another job and could they reschedule. He knew he was tied up before that phone call. It is to easy to text or call someone. That is so rude, to waste someone's time....looking for you to come. They did reschedule though. The same thing happened again, only this time he called her when there was only a half hour left with in his scheduled window, saying he needed to reschedule. At this point we felt he had her money, so she goes on the back burner. After a few harsh words, he followed up and showed up soon after. They reinspected her property, sealed in some additional entery points. Later, came back to get their cage and seal in the entry points in the roof. Seems like the problem is solved. I don't like giving bad reviews, but they wasted her time twice. They didn't do a bad job, just be warned if you decided to go with Pest Medics.

My experience with Wardoff and Sons Pest was beyond unacceptable and, in my opinion, felt outright scam-like. They caught one squirrel, then demanded full payment upfront for a second trap. That second trap was never properly set up, and the service I paid for was never delivered at all. When I contacted them, they promised--three times--that someone would return to fix it. No one showed up. After repeated attempts to get them to either do the work I had already fully paid for or provide a refund, they stopped responding entirely. No resolution. No refund. No explanation. Demanding full payment in advance, failing to perform the service, making repeated promises they never intended to keep, and then cutting off communication is exactly what customers warn each other about. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office, and I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to protect themselves and choose a business that actually stands behind its work.

The technician who came to my home taped my front door open with sticky pads as if he was coming right back, then peaced out and blocked my number. The coordinator, Stephanie, blocked my number as well, the second she received payment (then later unblocked it after realizing that iphones display texts in green when someone has blocked you.) Zero pest removal was done. I had to file a fraud report with Thumbtack since that's where I originally hired this company -- they are in the process of banning them from operating there. You see, this does not come down to a "they said, she said" case. I had home cameras operating throughout the entire 10-minute "visit" before the technician took off without a word. Before doing so, he trashed my living room, scratched my walls, and pulled off paint by carelessly throwing sticky pads all over. I thought this would be a simple extermination job. There was nothing daunting or unclean about my home that could have caused the technician to bolt without saying a word. The business has taken zero accountability. Given that theft and property damage have occurred with ample video evidence, I've decided to file a police report and take legal action. Wish I would have read the reviews from others here first, as I can see that property damage is a pattern with these guys. Update: After posting an honest review of my experience with this business on Thumbtack, the business retaliated by publishing a public reply that threatened to sue me over my review and posted my full name, address, and personal phone number. It was immediately taken down by Thumbtack. Thumbtack has sanctioned Wardoff & Son for their unprofessional conduct and issued a full refund after reviewing all of the video footage I provided along with the supporting documentation.
