Absolutely professional and punctual - he stays in touch if running early or late from other jobs. Very, very reasonable to have up to 300lbs of paper shredded in a blink. My wife and I are in the process of clearing out the house her parents built in Austin back in 1963. Her parents lived there until their deaths and then her brother lived there until his death earlier this year. Needless to say there was a lot of paper that had accumulated over 60 years. I called Central Texas Shredding to help us get rid of all the old tax returns, bank statements, files, etc. Tim was great to work with scheduling their truck to come to the house. The driver called about 15 minutes before the scheduled time to let me know he was on his way. The truck arrived on time and Phillip came to the house and introduced himself. He got to work immediately putting our papers into his bin. Once the bin was full he took it to the truck, pushed a few buttons, and then showed me where I could watch the video feed of the shredding taking place. The whole process was simple and easy. But then Phillip pulled out his tablet for payment. "That will be $95 plus tax. We take cash, check, or plastic." I've never been so happy to pay $95 for service like that! I don't know what the other shredders in Austin do but I can't imagine them doing better than Central Texas Shredding! These are the folks to call! read more

Called two places on Saturday to shred about two totes worth of old papers, documents, etc. I got a call back on Saturday from Central Texas Shredding and was able to discuss price what service was needed. Set up a time of Saturday for Tuesday. I don't recall the gentleman's name I spoke to but he was very professional and friendly. On Tuesday the gentleman, I think "Tim", called and said he was on his way, showed up within this time frame, shredded the material and was on his way, easy peasy. Fast, courteous, and professional. I won't hesitate to use them again when the need arises, thanks guys. Contacted about a 10-lb personal (not business) job. Owner got back to me right away but was acting a little weird. I guess this company is primarily a mobile service (?) but that wasn't really clear. I was fully expecting and intending to drop off my stuff to them, and I said so at the getgo, but he asked where I was coming from, which shouldn't matter. Which I told him. Then he said something like "I won't wait for you to come from [an area I literally just said I wasn't coming from] but you can meet me where I park the truck after work". Uh...what? No thanks dude, maybe you don't realize how creepy and unsafe you're making it sound but you're gonna have to take my word for it--no way in hell would any sane woman agree to that. Needless to say I'm taking my little bitty business to A-Tex. They didn't creep me out at all and they already have multiple good reviews. read more
