When you're in a pinch though this is a great place to go for home. Improvement needs. Come spring. We often come here to buy bags of mulch, which is cheaper than having it delivered.

I bought a toilet handle and other items at the Connolly store located on Wells Street. Unfortunately the handle was the wrong color for my toilet. So I tried to return the item to the Connolly store located on Maplecrest near my house. I was informed rudely by the young lady that that this location would not take the item back even though both stores are Connolly's. The reason being that although each store has the same ownership, they do not carry the same inventory. Since Maplecrest did not carry the toilet handle, I would need to drive across town to the Wells Street location to return the item. I asked to speak to the Manager and he told me the same thing. That is the way the Owners want return to happen. It is the responsibility of the customer to return an item to the correct Connolly store. I say this is POOR Customer service and will never shop there again.

They come to your home and discuss what you want and then draw the plan out for you to see. I also went to the nursery & garden center to pick out the bricks from their inventory. Even this late in the season, they had a great supply available. They even allowed me to bring a few bricks home with me to be sure of my color choice. The brick installation was very professionally done by experienced crew. They even created the curve that I wanted to soften the area from all straight lines. My goal was to create a place to have friends over to dine outdoors and to be able to enjoy the afternoon sun rays from my chaise lounge. I had several driftwood roses planted and a couple of Rose of Sharon bushes and 5 arborvitaes for my privacy hedge. The trees provided the privacy that I wanted, too. The crew was friendly, efficient & professional. I've had a lot of people stop by to say how much they love the work and how great it looks. I've lived in many different places in Fort Wayne and have had Galbraiths' design and install all my landscaping.

His team did a nice job with the landscaping, but I haven't received two pieces of art I ordered as finishing touches: a pagoda for $595 and "the woman with the bowl" for $185. Joe said it would take a month to get these items, and I agreed. When a month passed with no update, I called his office and was told it would take another two weeks. After waiting again, I called to schedule delivery and found out neither piece had arrived nor was on its way from China. I heard many excuses, but I still gave Joe another three weeks. Today, when I called, I was told there was another issue, and it would be two or three more weeks. Feeling deceived, I asked for my money back. I was told Galbraith could only refund $185, not the $595 for the pagoda, because it was a special order, even though both items were "so-called" special orders, meaning they are not in the regular inventory. I ordered both from a catalog Joe gave me, but they would only refund the smaller amount. A staff member told me I would have to wait even longer for the pagoda, but could not say when it would arrive. I was treated as if I should shut up, go home, and wait. No one apologized. Instead, a woman came out of an office to shame me and blamed their importer. She acted as if I should accept the situation. When I ordered the two statues, no one told me I could not get a refund or cancel the order. I never signed anything saying that. I want my money back. I am 80 years old and know Galbraiths has not been honest with me. They think I am not sharp because of my age, but that's not true. One staff member tried to intimidate me, but I made it clear I am neither senile nor stupid, even though she spoke to me in a condescending tone. I wanted to tell her she was being rude, but decided not to; she was too uneducated to know better. Whoever parented her did not teach her respect for older folk. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau and share my experience on social media to let others know how Galbraiths treats its customers, especially seniors. I will also file a small claim against them. I'm not responsible for their issues with suppliers in China or shipping; they tried to make it mine. They refused to refund my money. I'm concerned this nursery may be having financial trouble, as they have not refunded a product I no longer want, and I've waited almost three months. They have pagodas on display, but they are too small for my project. I am sure when my pagoda finally arrives, Mr. Joe can sell it in his nursery; he is a clever salesman. Galbraiths sells this type of art, so it is not really a special order. If that's the case, the long wait is their responsibility, not mine as the customer. I do not recommend Galbraith's Nursery.

He also called my Husband a liar, stating a conversation never took place regarding us paying another 3k to install a new floor. This unprofessionalism will not be tolerated and I'm moving on to the BBB with an additional review. The company cares only about the star rating and not about the sh$t job floor sitting in my house. Zack you should be ashamed of your professional ethics and others should know how you conduct business before choosing to spend their money on this ridiculousness. Zack entered into a third grade level spat with me only after he saw my review. Who does this guy think he is? Again...they lied... All of our flooring was purchased through Coleman's flooring and they have made zero attempt to take financial responsibility for their mistake, Zack continues to spin this very inaccurate and unfortunate story in his favor. Wish me the best?! As if we'd let you near our home....laughable, I will be posting a copy of my sales receipt and invoice showing all materials were purchased through and from Coleman's flooring, clearly they have multiple people with issues telling the truth at this company, we did not buy our flooring from another retailer as stated. The continued defense and attempt at deflection in regards to both the professional interaction and personal one will be met with push back at every turn both in this forum and in an escalated one, I have zero intention of keeping this as an internet squabble. You are wrong, and the floor is wrong, and Coleman's lied continually about the specifics. The proof is in the pictures. Feel free to show your a$$ some more, I'll gladly match your energy. Hopefully perspective clientele see what they could be subjected to. We have received several new estimates and evaluations, those contractors are also aware of who put the floor in and what has transpired. These people think this is the country club, and it's not.
