My 62 year old friend got his car towed to this garage because of a engine malfunction,he then asked the tech if they were interested in taking care of the problem for him and they did ...with a quote of $5,500 just to replace a engine in a 2005 Toyota Camry,,, PEOPLE a big rippppp off The engine cost is between $1,200-$1,500 and the labor everywhere else but here is between 600-1,000 tell me why do I have to pay $4000 for labor at Central Street Garage... read more

I saw another review about how poor their customer service is, and on that I will absolutely agree. I went there with a simple problem that they WELL could have handled but was given nothing but grief and aggravation. I went to them after having a problem on 495. I was able to get off of the road in time to get to their garage (which I googled). I should have kept driving. Better yet, I should have just broken down on 495 and has the State Police help me because it would have been a better experience. Awful. Just awful. read more

Thanks Central Street Garage! I was able to schedule a tow for the exact time I needed it, which was the following day at 8am. They were ready and waiting in the parking lot before 8am! I've been a customer for more than 20 years. Always had great service. Al the manager gives me great advice and saved me more $$$ than I can count in unnecessary repairs. I've left various cars in the lot over the years, never had a single break in or problem. In this day and age of chain stores with rotating new employees every time you go in who don't really care, or know cars, it's a real comfort to have a good garage you can trust to care for your vehicle and not take unfair advantage. read more

What is the value of a garage you can trust? I work in the area of this garage, people from my office had been going there for years. I had a recall on my vehicle and took it to the dealership. Following the recall fix they came out with a list of $3,000+ in fixes the biggest being a head gasket. With the reputation from my coworkers I called central street and booked to have my car repaired there with the lower hourly rate compared to the dealership. They ordered the parts in and I dropped the car off to have the work done. The garage called me back and said that the headgasket wasn't leaking. They tested with dye to confirm and validate their finding. Turns out I did not need a headgasket. They gave me their evaluations on urgency for the other items called out at the dealership and I left with peace of mind and only the repairs my vehicle needed. They could have easily done the headgasket job and billed me, they didn't. This is a garage who you can trust to tell you what is needed. Fast turn around and good group of people. I don't normally ever do Yelp reviews, but I wanted to do one after bringing my car here last week. I moved to Foxboro in August and needed a new mechanic. I went on Yelp and saw a lot of positive reviews about Central Street Garage and maybe one or two negative and I brought my car in. Best experience I've ever had at a mechanic. I needed two front tires, the tread was gone, I needed them a long time ago. My inspection was due in September and after my tires were done I was going to get it inspected. At my old mechanic's I would have to wait a week for an appointment,, drop my car off at 8 and get it back by 5. Central Street called me within an hour of getting home to tell me my car was done. When I got there I was very happily surprised that they took my car and got it inspected for me so i had a brand new sticker and my brake light was out (I had no idea) and he fixed that. He saved me a trip, they were so fast. I will not go anywhere else. I don't understand the one or two bad reviews I saw, I'm willing to bet they were disgruntled customers, like I said, I don't write Yelp reviews but I needed to write this one. My review of this garage is based on the employees themselves who work there and not necessarily the ownership. Upon asking a few questions regarding the repairs I was met with grunts; the service person clearly showed that they had no desire to converse with his customers. In my opinion this is a red flag; why not answer a question regarding a repair that you supposedly performed. In addition while exiting the establishment the service person followed me out of the garage basically giving me a cold stare. For anyone needing repairs and paying good money; there are many many garages out there who employee professional individuals willing to answer their customers questions. read more
