I only tapped one star because I had to. The woman who owns the service station has the worst customer hospitality I have ever experienced in my life. She kept telling me that she took my son's car as a favor. What favor? You're getting paid a small fortune! Not only did they not finish the job (last minute extra work needed) but she made it seem like it was a burden to do the initial job. She was upset because after two days of them holding onto the car, I called them to ask them this afternoon to ask how they were making out. She told me that I was rushing them so at the end of day they put the car back together and told my son there's other work that's needed instead of offering to fix it. So when I got the car home we looked at the work and realized that the extra work needed was because THE MECHANIC broke a part and never owned up to it!! He even left the broken Part under the hood, along with another miscellaneous part! The shop owner is extremely rude. The service is horrible. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. read more

I had a metallic rubbing sound in the driver's side rear. It wasn't consistent but worrisome. Brought my car to Jim's Auto in Mansfield Ma. The brakes were inspected as well as the suspension. All was fine. Rust was detected on a rotor and a back plate. It was removed and problem solved. I can t recommend them enough!! read more

Yes auto repair shop is absolutely amazing I ran into some trouble one morning on my way to work and had to get my car towed in to the shop soon as I got there the young lady that runs the front office know exactly who I was and was waiting for me from a phone call that I had made almost an hour and a half ago the atmosphere is very friendly very home like. The personalities of the head mechanic and the other mechanic absolutely made me feel safe that the work that was being done was going to be done correctly me living in Woonsocket RI it was a must that the repairs that needed to be done work completed that same day and everything got completed in record time and the price was more than fair so if you're in the Mansfield Massachusetts area if you need work done on your vehicle make sure you stop by and check these guys out I promise you you won't regret it read more

Scheduled a service for my wife's Mercedes a week ago due to service light indicating it was long over due. Get a call this a.m. informing me that it's an all day job and they don't have the manpower scheduled to do such work? Really? Physically went down there to inquire why I get this call now, no resolution but am told (in addition to a verbal tutorial on what a service indicator light is )"I really don't know what to tell you". Long and short...the Mechanic they originally had on site that specifically worked on Mercedes is no longer working for them and was still going to send me to a Mercedes dealership to reset indicator light. Additionally the concept of decent customer service (after calling and setting and appointment in more than enough time) is totally lost on the kids working at this shop today! read more

The business is less than a mile from my residence and I have often used it for mandatory inspections. However, my daughter's 2003 Mazda required some much needed maintenance including a timing belt replacement. I had a terrible experience with John and Ed's in North Attleboro and relayed the story to Leah at Jim's. I explained to her that I needed an estimate and then an appointment would be made. This was initiated at 8:30 in the morning and by 10 AM, Leah called with the estimate. First, it was less expensive than John and Ed's. Second, an appointment was readily available that week and ALL work would be completed. The results were absolutely accurate as to what would be completed and the cost of completion. Feels like a futile effort writing this review because no one even knows this is a yelp page apparently, but I brought my '12 jetta in for filters, fluids, sparks and coils. I don't know stuff about cars. That's why I went to the mechanic, assuming ya know maybe the mechanics would. The tech installed the wrong size aftermarket fuel filter causing a fuel pressure regulation malfunction, which doesnt mean anything to me but it sounds like something I wouldn't like if I understood it. My car started having a no start issue after it ran for about it a half hour, it would lose power in the line at Dunkin' Donuts. On top of that, blah blah something with my brakes I really don't understand much about any of this except that I'm pretty sure that cars are supposed to run better or run at all after you bring them to a mechanic. Maybe I made a mistake by going to a small town mechanic with a newer foreign car but I can't help but feel like maybe they should have communicated the fact that they were in over their heads on a tune up. Super convenient place to go for inspection stickers though since apparently they have no idea how a car is supposed to run anyways. read more

i had my sons land rover brought to jims on a wed at noon for a potential cracked head or head gasket . after not hearing from jim or anyone else at the shop i called on fri around 130 jim was not in but his tech told me they were waiting on prices for parts but at the same time they didnt know what the problem was , i also asked if they were going to do a chem block test and he said they still had to breakdown the motor at that point i started to think maybe the car should be somwhere else but i would at least wait to get their price.On sat at noon i called to see if there was any news jim was not in iwas asked to hold the tech came back and he had talked to jim and he didnt want the job , i guess my two phone calls were a bit much my guess is the work was probably over their head .
