I found out about this place from my neighbor that has been going there for some time and is highly satisfied. The center is bright, clean, and spacious. The pool is huge with several straight lanes to swim plus an area to power walk with other adults. In the rear of the building, people were playing pickle ball on the basketball court. I took the elevator instead of the stairs to the second level where the weights and equipment are. The track to walk around surrounds the second floor. The outside parking lot has plenty of parking spaces. The center is in Dover and was a 20 minute drive from my area of Aurora. The center is open 7 days a week and holds many activities. The room with classes was ample and I look forward to sign up for some classes. There are 3 other locations spread across Aurora. The best part is with my United Healthcare card, membership is free! read more

This isn't my normal gym, but I stopped by because that's the direction I was in for the day. Everybody was very friendly as well as they had a good mixture of equipment. I liked how the track was one level, and the locker rooms are clean. read more

The pool heater works on and off. Half the time we went, the water was cold or barely warm, so kids were shaking with blue lips pretty quickly. They are NOT allowed in the hot tub even with the parent to warm up a bit, so we had to leave early each time because the kids were miserable. The showers felt dirty, and there were random band aids and hair and weird things on the floor by the showers. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR FLIP FLOPS. Maybe if there was a garbage can by the showers, it might help with the band aids and trash, but it could use a good cleaning. Workout classes were lots of fun, though. I recommend it for sure. read more

Went to the Central Rec Center for the first time with friends for the drop-in class. This is a beautiful facility with plenty of space for various activities. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The Aquatic Fitness class was a fun class that still provided a challenge. There is a lazy river, fitness pool, hot tub, and lanes for lap swimming in the pool area. Locker rooms are clean with plenty of space for storage. Decided to sign up for a 10 Punch Pass which is $35 residents ages 27-61. See you at the next class! read more

I've been taking water aerobics classes here for the last month and I'm very impressed with this facility. The desk employees are always friendly and helpful, and the women's locker room and pool area are always clean. I have peeked into the weight room and fitness studio and they too have always looked clean and well lit. The classes I have attended are taught by Gail, and she is a great teacher. It's the first time I've taken a water aerobics class where the instructor is in the pool with us rather than standing on the side of the pool. She makes sure that everyone can hear here and she is great at checking on everyone's form and showing you how to do a move correctly. My only gripe is that the class sizes are not limited, and there have been a couple times where the class was much too crowded. After class I love getting my steps in by jogging along the lazy river, and then rewarding myself with a nice soak in the hot tub. I'm so glad that I found this rec center and look forward to trying other classes there in the future! read more

So I've recently moved my mom here from the east coast. Needed to find a place for her to be able to get in a Silver Sneakers class once a week. Turns out the have them 5 days a week some days twice a day. Wow!! Plus her silver sneakers gives her a membership to the rec center so she can really enjoy her time there. I was really glad to find this place for her so close to home. Lots of space inside and out. The classes she is really enjoying and spends a bit of time upstairs walking the track and on a bike. She used to go for walks in stores in cold and hot weather. Now she can come here and I don't wind up with so many things she "just saw and thought you would like" items. read more

The rec center has done great job in providing social distancing during this COVID mess. It is not easy for employees but I think they're doing a great job. The newest recreation center in aurora, I'm glad to have one close to the house where I am my kids and workout. read more

This Is an awesome facility. But be ready for a lot of kids, and family activity running around. The pool area is very large, multiple basketball courts and a ok area for cardio and strength equipment. read more

An excellent recreation center for all ages it has plenty of aquatic features and Physical exercise machines in a large gymnasium.

If I could give this rec center zero stars I would. I just took my family here yesterday for my daughters birthday. I asked one of the life guards what they do in the event that a child or anyone were to throw up in the pool (I was in the kiddie pool at the time with my 1 year old) and he said they would close the pool. So I made him aware that I saw a child vomit in the kiddie pool and it seemed like all of the life guards were under 18 (nothing against their age), but they had no idea how to proceed and no one to go to for guidance on the situation that I presented them with. Needless to say...they did not close the pool or alert anyone in the kiddie pool about what happened. This was so disgusting to watch. read more

I love this gym. For being a recreation center it has everything you need, and is usually kept up nicely. Lately I am noticing more children running around without shoes(like on the treadmills) and the facility is not as clean. Hopefully they can figure that out to make it safe and comfortable for everyone. Favorite part is everyone goes for the pool, so I typically have the gym to myself. read more

It's an okay rec center. Customer service .... what customer service? Nobody knows a thing. NO COMMUNICATION. (lol) Corona Virus what? I called to ask if they are taking any precautious measures or if I should take extra measures. I got hung up on with Peggy instantly. The basketball courts are always open regardless of the time or day all it takes is a reservation no complete closes for pickle ball or volleyball read more
