The space was just what we needed and having nice padded chairs was a big plus. After packing up we realized a valuable hand made child's rocking chair was missing. The follow up by park staff included a review of security camera footage- showing exactly where it went..a communication mix up on our end- the chair was with us! I cannot say enough to support our wonderful experience and encourage others to consider the space for their events.

I've been coming to the Wave for several years and it's perfectly fine for what it is: an…read moreapartment complex's fitness facility. Here you'll find about a half dozen ellipticals, a half dozen treadmills, a few stationary bikes, a stair climber, free weights, bench presses, and a few other machines. Basically, your standard gym fair. Aside from the DIY fitness aspect of the Wave, it also offers the residents of the Breakers fitness classes throughout the week. I used to attend the yoga classes but found them to be pretty basic. If you're a beginner, they are great! I haven't been able to attend many other classes because they're scheduled during the work day, but there are many options like Tai Chi and Zumba. P90X has been offered throughout the year, as well as other more personalized training sessions with coaches. (The last two examples do cost extra money!) As with any gym, the Wave can get pretty hectic after work. So, like a crazy person, I prefer to get my miles in during the wee hours of the morning. It's been a rare occasion that I haven't been able to use the machines I'd like to use at those odd ball hours. I like the Wave! Overall I've been pleased with the facility and the fitness class offerings. If you live at the Breakers, certainly take advantage of this place!

After a lengthy discussion, they let us go in anyway! We were so excited and thankful because it was 100 degrees out and the nearby playground was not an attractive option. Thank you to the staff who made an exception, understanding that there was no way for us to have found out about the closure ahead of time unless we had called.

A lovely little stream meanders across the property and lots of tall trees provide shady spots for picnics in the grass. But my favorite thing about Cook Park is the swimming pool! Is there anything better than lounging by the pool on a hot summer day? The pool area is a nice size and has plenty of comfortable grass and shade. I recommend bringing a cooler (no alcohol or glass containers, of course) and snacks and making a day of it. See you there!

I had a friend that lived across the street from this park for years and just recently had a family reunion in one of their rec rooms. Big open space, nice meeting rooms for not a lot of dough and it has lots of recreation options. Plus you can hook up to a couple trails from here (High Line and one other - can't remember the name).

Free 18 hole course in Aurora, Colorado. Not far from Denver proper…read more Concrete release area, nice baskets. No restroom or facility along the course. There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot as well as a clean restroom in the Recreation Center. I only noticed one trash can and it was noticeably full of bottle and beer cans along all 18 holes with regular trash. The course is wide open with a few small trees. Quite a few little streams and small lakes to dip into. This was my first disc course that I have reviewed in the Denver area so I'm not sure how to compare. I am also just an average and semi-avid disc golfer. Check out the pictures I took for the best feel.
