I took a chance and joined, not knowing what to expect. Measurements, weight and body fat percentages were taken. Class times were arraigned and my journey started. It wasn't always easy, some days I even thought about quitting, but I pulled it together and kept going. June's challenge ended and I kept going, mostly because I actually started to look forward to it. In two short months I have lost 23.5 pounds, almost 5% body fat and more inches than I would like to admit! (4 waist, 4 hips, 2 on my thighs ) I feel so much better, and I and definitely getting stronger. Thanks Team 212 for your support, I couldn't have done it without all of you!

I was a member of lifetime athletics in Maryland and…read moreI felt that was the best gym but when I visited DAC I was blown away by their amazing facility. First of all, DAC is huge. So getting around could be a little complex if your visiting for the first time. As I am a huge fan of basketball and swimming I was looking for these two facilities to start of with. When I entered the basketball court I was awestruck by how well maintained their court is. It's a full NBA size court and they have plenty of basketballs to choose from. They also have towels and water fountains in the facility. Just amazing! Next stop was the swimming pool. Nice heated pool with 8 lanes and jacuzzi, sauna and steam room next to it in the same facility makes it spectacular and extremely accessible. By this time I was already convinced that this was the best gym I have ever seen. I continued my tour by visiting squash and racquetball courts. There were plenty of players playing at very high level. They also have a viewing area from where you can watch these players play squash. It was fun. I also visited pool tables, shuffle board, bowling alley and workout area. Pool tables are very well maintained and they have some very good quality sticks. I got an opportunity to play with regular players and by the end our game they were impressed by my skills and invited me to play with them on a regular basis. I wish I could but unfortunately I am just visiting for a couple of more days. We then headed to the bowling alley. It was empty so we used a couple of lanes. We also grabbed some beer and snacks while bowling. Only negative is that it's hard to find 10lbs balls which is my favorite weight. Nevertheless I used a 11lbs ball and I still had an amazing time. They have couple of men's locker rooms. Men's locker is very well designed with lockers in the wide area and shower in the middle so that the shower is easily accessible to everyone in the locker. They also have steam and sauna in the men's locker. They have open showers with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lots of towels right across the shower area. What amazed me the most about the men's locker is their additional supplies such as body cream, oils, shaving foam, blades etc. If you're a member here you don't have to carry anything other than your gym wear. I am truly amazed by their facility. It does not end here. To add to their amazing gym facility, they also have party space and a nice roof top where they host parties on a regular basis. They also have free beer Tuesday's between 5pm to 7pm. So with all such amazing facilities you must be wondering about their monthly membership fee. Let me tell you that it's not cheap. The base price is around $260 which is a bomb for lower to middle class families. You can buy lockers for an additional cost and parking is free only for first couple of hours. They have a cafeteria where you can order food and drinks. Here is a little tip for all the Yelpers, if you check in here using Yelp app on your phone they give you a free small smoothie. So definitely try it out. Well, I definitely think their facility is amazing.

Kids are constantly in there tearing all over uncontrollably as their parents down cocktails to deal, or NOT deal or discipline them. It is dangerous and disrespectful to the servers to have to work in such chaos. It is inappropriate and probably illegal for small kids to even be allowed in there let alone have ZERO rules for the kids AND the parents to adhere to. It sucks for other patrons and is completely unfair. Turn the snack bar into a family eating area. Give us back our Pub!!! Thanks for listening.

I find flexibility and strong cardio make me a better "intimate" partner. I think more people should keep this in mind... The class was about forty five minutes and started slowly then moved on to more rigorous routines. It's a very friendly and supportive environment that I really enjoyed. You can stop or slow down anytime you need to. The instructor, a very fit woman, was encouraging but never condescending or aggressive. I left sweating and tired. It was a really good way to start the day. I don't know the cost as my girlfriend either paid for me or used a guest pass of some kind. I will write an update after I attend again soon that will encompass prices, etc.

I ended up texting that phone line and someone texted back that I could come to a free class. I showed up at the agreed upon time, but the instructor hadn't known to expect me. He said few words to me while I signed a liability waiver. I explained that I'd had surgery to reattach my biceps 8 months ago, so I wanted to be careful with that arm. He shrugged and said, "You'll be alright." As the class got going, I didn't know what was going on or what station to go to. He put us in two groups but there were lots of stations all around, so I just floated aimlessly, trying to do the exercises. After class, I walked over to ask him about membership since I still didn't know costs. He ushered me out the door saying, "Get some rest!" So that was that. No follow up. Ummm, okay.

Worst planet fitness club experience I've had hands down in 10 years…read more 1) Club Manager couldn't accurately reference his screen when providing the exact date I started my membership, repeated the question 3 times before he caught on. 2) Club manager acts manic, makes basic interpersonal mistakes that make the environment feel challenged during basic conversation. 3) Club manager quotes info that differs from what is publicly listed on the Planet Fitness websites. 4) Club manager provided inaccuracies about membership info, attempting to micromanage my inquiry. Unfortunately I cannot just purchase a more expensive membership at this time. I had to relocate out of Lakewood and now have a 40min commute to this planet fitness one direction. It's so sad that I now hate this Planet Fitness and am being forced to stay because of this manager! I had loved this gym until I experienced this manager. The desk employees are always wonderful, always so nice & knowledgeable and helpful, they know their Planet Fitness better than this Manic Manager. Maybe this Manger has a college degree or experience, hopefully he's not the franchisee because that would a horrible representation of this brand....the desk employees seem more fit to run the store...just teach them PnL's & ops, I'd trust them more with my customers interactions after my experience this evening. Overall this gym closes too early Fri-Sun with a 40 min commute one direction. I feel like I'm being punished by this manager after our conversation. Because of my unfortunate interpersonal experience with this gym manager + their hours combined with my now 40min commute one direction, this gym=1/5. FYI: There are better ways to interact with your customers over their membership & their options other than suggesting they should quit...what sort of gym offers the suggestion "you can cancel your membership" as a primary solution? that's basically saying ...."just give up" ...not a good look. Obviously I'll keep coming, and leaving reviews until the first week of November. Would be glad to remove this review or upgrade to 4 stars but I need to get my Home club changed please. I'm day ~76-79 of the 90 days. A little flexibility is always appreciated, happy to pay the club its monthly due regardless. Just don't wanna be driving 40min one direction pls.
