Happy memories, all those kids are now grown and moved on to start their lives. This park was named after the founder of Tehachapi. It has the prettiest, tallest shade trees around. It has over 5 acres of grass, there is picnic tables, BBQ's, restrooms and a gazebo in the center of the park. You can rent the gazebo for $75.00 and a security deposit of $75.00. I have been to many parties in the park and the gazebo is really nice to set the food and gifts in. I personally know a couple people who were married in it. You can even rent out the full park for an event for $500 a day with a $1500 deposit. The playground is newly renovated and you always see happy kids running around. I have been here on multiple occasions and have seen kids in the late teens and young adults hanging out near the restrooms. They are definitely up to no good, We have seen small kids at the park themselves, I don't recommend that. This may be a small town but there is a drug problem and some of the people like to hang out here. So as long as the kids are supervised this is a nice place to spend some time. Many events are held here, Tehachapi Mountain festival, Tehachapi Old-timers Reunion, music in the park and also movies in the park. You can check with the Tehachapi Parks and Recreation for more information.

This park is not too far from his campus and is a great spot to stretch the legs and wander around. I love the tree carvings and lush old-growth landscaping. This is a great park to escape the heat and bring the kids to run around!

My favorite Instagram friend is practicing his free throw.... all the way from Greece?! Ok, maybe it just looked like him. This is a great place to practice your free throws! Old friends are playing a pick up game at the basketball courts. Future Lakers in the making! Kids are playing games, swinging on swings, sliding down slides, playing sports and .. musical instruments??!! Future rock stars can practice outdoor instruments here and out. Bring the band for an outdoor concert. There's a commemorative plaque in this park paying homage to Vietnam veterans. My dad served in the military during the Vietnam war, so I came to get a picture of the plaque for him. What a great park! I'm enjoying the weather, admiring everything and everyone. I brought my takeout to a nice table in the shade. Pandemic points! Every time I come to this park I get to trade smiles with somebody different. I moved to the area for a reason, the people. This park is located in an area of the Antelope Valley that looks like a country rap video directed by Clint Eastwood starring everyone. I traded hair compliments with the most beautiful little girls I've ever seen. Rainbow beads, you are my sunshine "No YOUR hair is prettier!" In return I got one of the best smiles in my life from their father. Why do I get something better back when I give a compliment, a hug or a smile! I don't know, but this park is a premier place to practice. I left with a skip in my step. A full tummy. Cool pictures. Great advice. And. The distinct impression that this place and one smile could change the world. I drove away playing "We can work it out" from Stevie Wonder. I didn't make it out of the parking lot before I got another smile and a nod. Everybody should come check out this park. Bring your picnics, team practices, YouTube fans, your biggest smile and your family.:)

Located on the western side of Big Bear Lake, this park is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, particularly those looking to enjoy a peaceful and leisurely walk with their pets, a picnic, or just some quiet time by the water. There is a free parking lot adjacent to the park, but it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays. If the lot is full, there is additional street parking available nearby. The park is open year-round, but the best times to visit are during the spring, summer, and fall when the weather is mild, and the lake is at its most beautiful.

Many people taking pictures or selfies, some people fishing off the small pier, while others were walking their dogs. It was very clean, there is restrooms available (yes there was a line) and plenty of parking, although you may need to wait for a spot. It is a cool park to check out, I've seen pictures of people kayaking, however there are signs that say to stay on the path and not cross over the railing. A nice picnic place perhaps or family photos with the bear. The boulders in the area/park make it a cool photographic area.
