I had my son's 5th birthday at Playmazing yesterday. It was $400 for 1-4pm. Two hours of play and…read moreone hour in the "party room". It was fine, just expensive. There are a lot of rules like no music even though it's a private room and they charge for every little thing. Even using a plastic cake cutter would cost $4. The party room is drab. It definitely looks like a warehouse, no fun colors or images at all. I would suggest you bring a lot of decorations so the room can look full and party like for your experience if you're party is held in the bigger room. I would definitely recommend it but ideally it'd be one hour of play, then the party room, & then another hour of play because after the party, the kids wanted to go back and play and were really disappointed it was all over.

The owner of play amazing is price gouging so my recommendation is no do not have your child's…read moreparty here. Number one you only have 20 minutes to decorate and your clean up time is included in the price that you booked. We booked my grandchild's birthday party here my daughter-in-law paid $400 be mindful you have only 20 minutes to decorate when it's time to clean up you have to use that time that you were giving so if you booked 1 to 4 pm, you only have a small window to clean up and if not you will be charged $1 a minute. I don't care if it's in the policy this is price gouging owner get it together and rethink your policy or you will be losing customers! Plus any children not included in original booking that attends the party will be charged $17 per child in addition to the parents

We spent many days at this park when my kids were young. My Moms group used to meet here so the…read morekids could play. Happy memories, all those kids are now grown and moved on to start their lives. This park was named after the founder of Tehachapi. It has the prettiest, tallest shade trees around. It has over 5 acres of grass, there is picnic tables, BBQ's, restrooms and a gazebo in the center of the park. You can rent the gazebo for $75.00 and a security deposit of $75.00. I have been to many parties in the park and the gazebo is really nice to set the food and gifts in. I personally know a couple people who were married in it. You can even rent out the full park for an event for $500 a day with a $1500 deposit. The playground is newly renovated and you always see happy kids running around. I have been here on multiple occasions and have seen kids in the late teens and young adults hanging out near the restrooms. They are definitely up to no good, We have seen small kids at the park themselves, I don't recommend that. This may be a small town but there is a drug problem and some of the people like to hang out here. So as long as the kids are supervised this is a nice place to spend some time. Many events are held here, Tehachapi Mountain festival, Tehachapi Old-timers Reunion, music in the park and also movies in the park. You can check with the Tehachapi Parks and Recreation for more information.

Maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the community - but Tehachapi holds a special place in my heart…read more It's also where my boyfriend works and occasionally I get to visit him. This park is not too far from his campus and is a great spot to stretch the legs and wander around. I love the tree carvings and lush old-growth landscaping. This is a great park to escape the heat and bring the kids to run around!

Ok so we wanted to try a new park, so I gather up the kids and we head over. This park has a kids…read moresplash pad (I assume is open during the summer months.) The playground has a large rocket which is at least 30 feet high! It includes two totally enclosed tube slides and another 2-4 lower slides. In fact it was so tall I was afraid my 2-4 yo's would be too scared to go up to top, but nope! It took them 2 to 3 times walking up the stairs to gather the courage, but once they did it trying to get them off the slide to put on jackets became more of an issue. We had a water gun fight, ate some snacks and they played til they were wore out. I heard this isn't the grandest neighborhood, although I didn't experience any issues, I am not familiar enough with the AV area to give a honest opinion: good or bad about that so know that my star rating is based solely on my experience inside the park not the neighborhood. The pluses for me was that they had a clean play area and the splash zone is right next to the two grounds. One set is for say 5 yo and up and a more milder toddler area all in same eye path, so you could easily watch two sets of kids. There is a lot of grass areas so you can camp out, have a picnic and make it a day trip with young ones. There is ample parking with a well lit lot. The soccer and other fields were brightly lit so you can play organized sports at night. What I did have a issue with is: The playground isn't lit up at night. (see pics below) which I truly don't understand. We waited thinking that the timer hadn't spring forward with time, but after looking around noticed two things the light structure is set for a dim yellow almost amber light while all the fields have super bright white lights and that one light was actually on so the other 2-3 lights just hadn't been maintained! Shame on parks and rec to not thinking of the safety of children especially during spring time when families are coming back out in larger groups. And next a question for parks and rec. Why does the playground where our most precious gems would play have the dimmest lights? You are putting children at risk of falling, being touched or hit inappropriately or worse (use your imagination!) This should be the brightest lights the park has not the darn soccer field. How is any mom and/or dad going to go let the little ones play while waiting for their older ones to finish up a practice or game with little to no lights? That needs to be addressed ASAP!!! and that is the reason my rating is only a 3 star, because I think that dusk time visits would be unsafe for most families.
