Hey pretti. I'm on your side unlike these fake yelp reviewers who probably got begged to leave a 5 star review. Since they've wasted my time for going into their store and right after my duty, I'm going to take the time in writing this review. That same black, African American, HEAVY SET female with the glasses with a Caribbean accent who has a loud (hey look at me! Personality) was unprofessional towards me as well. Even after I told her I work in law enforcement and asked a simple question if they offer law enforcement discount, she seemed like my questions were becoming too much for her and she started showing me attitudes. I asked her if I would get my eye measurements after the exam and after I get my eyeglasses and she said "No we don't give those out." Then I asked "why not." She then said "if you go into a car dealership and test drive a car and then say you don't want it you'll just buy it online you think that's ok?" I said well that's not the case I'm still purchasing a pair of eyeglasses from you guys. You're going to bill my insurance so i don't see the big deal" I'm just saying what if I need it for the future if my glasses break and I need new ones" she then said "maybe if you're a loyal customer and if you keep coming back, but if you came from the streets like you just did now, then no" me personally I took that offensive because she said I came from the streets which shouldn't be said to a customer. And I got up and moved away from where she was sitting and sat away from her and sat in a different seat. Then I asked if they have discount for law enforcement officers, that's when she started to degrade officers by saying "you don't have a better insurance than Medicaid since you're an officer?" I said to her "maybe it's probably because I just became an officer and I'm still eligible for Medicaid" She decided to give me a light threat by saying, "you a cop and you going outside on these streets acting like that?! I wonder what will happen to you outside" in front of her "loyal" customers who she called loyal because "they've been coming for many years" she think by talking loudly in front of the customers who are "loyal" she thinks she's going to get away with that type of unprofessional behavior? Lol nope. She gave me a threat and was rude and not courteous at all, she acted like she's from the streets by acting tough and kept running her mouth as if she's about that life on the streets and tried to embarrass me just because I asked plenty of questions to get info on how the eyeglasses and frames work. After she gave me a threat, I said "what, you threatening me?" In front of all those people to a New York City officer. And started talking ISH about cops, I got up and just left because I didn't want to give her my money, let your business fail because you don't deserve it, supposedly the heavy female calls herself a owner. And her sidekick the other black lady, oops I'm sorry, African American lady, was also having an attitude when I requested to have my papers back because I think it has something to do with "loyalty" amongst themself. It's ok lady I have the NYPD on my side. I took an oath and your behavior is unacceptable. My local precinct is aware of your behavior and the threat you've given me, we take threats serious. Especially when it is towards an officer. Keep it up! read more
