My house is only 1400SF. The original estimate was approximately $7,500, but the final charge was approximately $8,500. During this move, the finish/paint on my baby grand piano was chipped and damaged, and a door was also damaged. I also had concerns about the efficiency of the work. I personally observed some crew members playing around instead of consistently working. In my opinion, the move took longer than it reasonably should have, which contributed to my concerns about the final charges. Despite the problems with the first move, I used the company again for a second move. I paid approximately $4,770 for that move. During the second move, my TV was damaged. I have photographs documenting the damage. I also obtained a professional estimate of approximately $700 to repair the cosmetic damage to my baby grand piano. I contacted the company regarding these damages. They offered me $350 as a full and final settlement, which I did not believe adequately addressed the damage from the two moves. I requested a $1,550 settlement and attempted to resolve the matter directly with the company, but I did not receive a response to my most recent email. I paid the moving charges for both moves in full. Based on my personal experience with these two moves and the handling of my damage claim afterward, I was very dissatisfied. I recommend that customers photograph their belongings before and after a move, carefully compare the estimate with the final bill, and keep copies of all communications and damage documentation.

Busy Birds helped me move across town and did a great job. The two guys (sorry, I forgot your…read morenames, fellas) were professional and personable. They worked carefully and efficiently. I imagine they're great at Tetris because they filled the truck to the brim with 1bed/1bath + garage worth of stuff with 0 damage. The whole process from loading, to transport, to unloading took just under their 3-hour minimum (I was expecting 4). Would recommend for your moving needs!

We were actually referred to them through U-Haul. After 10 years it was time to move out of a 1400sf 3br+, 2ba house. I guess we had a lot more stuff than I thought as the truck we rented ended up being completely packed from floor to ceiling (and front to back) using what I can only describe as some amazing pro Tetris skills. These guys took a look over the house analyzing everything that had to go into the truck and maximized the space efficiency at speed. It didn't matter how big/heavy/awkward the furniture - these guys worked together to make it happen at blazing speed. Stairs were not a problem either. I've moved a few times and I'd never seen anything like this especially for the price. I even hired them for a 2nd job of removing the 10 years of accumulated junk that we weren't taking. I will most definitely 100% hire these guys again and recommend them to anyone looking for a moving assist.

They were absolutely fantastic. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, efficient,…read moreand incredibly attentive to detail. They followed all of my instructions carefully and made sure my belongings--especially fragile and breakable items--were packed securely and with great care. What stood out most was how thoughtful they were throughout the process. With kids in the home, they made sure everything stayed safe and organized while they worked, which gave me so much peace of mind. They arrived right on time, worked quickly, and even finished earlier than expected. I scheduled them for three hours, and they got everything done in just two. Tyson was especially helpful--he went above and beyond by offering useful moving advice and pointing out a few things I should consider packing separately or taking care of before the actual move. That kind of insight was incredibly helpful during what can be a stressful process. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the service and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing packing assistance. They made this part of the moving process so much easier, and I'll definitely be using them again for the move itself.

I also saw he kept the tip for himself, I should of paid the employee who was doing the work. Also after they left my apartment they took 2 hours to drop off the ubox when we live across the street from uhaul. Pedro complained and refused to load our washer and dryer 'because it would take up the entire u box'. I asked them. To stake boxes 6 high, also refused and wanted to control what I did with my moving pads. All and all if you use Torres be prepared to need extra labor hours and for lazy or lacking customer service. I was impressed with Torres 2 years ago but now would never recommend them even to my worst enemy. Once I posted my review Pedro decided to text me about defamation of his business. So I'm making sure others are warned. As he over booked himself the day he moved me and rushed my service. Delayed the return of my ubox. He didn't coordinate moving time with me blamed uhaul for opening hours when I told him uhaul opened at 7am. Him and his crew showed up at 9:45 and he texted and was on the phone while his employee moved most items himself.

In the meantime, I needed movers to extract a few items for my temporary housing set-up. Not knowing anyone out here, I asked Broad St Storage (who I also highly recommend) and they put me in contact with The Moving Experience. The 2 gentlemen assigned to my job were friendly, courteous, and had the utmost respect for my property. It wasn't easy getting the items I needed out, but they managed to do it with precision and care. While the move here was stressful, I'm so glad to say my dealings with The Moving Experience were anything but.

They did multiple unethical things:1. held our out of town items hostage forcing my husband to sign "completed paperwork" before unloading. 2. stated that we could pay the balance by Venmo (I have it written in an email) and then demanding immediate credit card payment but not Venmo or they would drive our stuff back to our originating move city and keep it. 3. Showing up late the morning of move and then sitting idle because we couldn't pay small balance immediately by credit card (was planning on Venmo as above) and then charging us $200 in overtime fees. 4. Stating they would supply wardrobe boxes at no charge and then charging us for them. 5. the owner Aaron was rude and threatening and it's not ok for a business to demand that we sign "completed paperwork" before the job is unloaded and it's not ok go against what you email to a customer saying they accept Venmo when they don't and then charge us overtime fee for their misinformation. We were overcharged and they didn't send an invoice for any extra fees, just charged our credit card. I called and reported the issue to them after I realized we were charged and they said they would send it to the accounting office. Over a week went by and didn't hear anything back. Then I reach out and they said sorry according to the signed agreement they are in the right. I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau, very unethical and unsettling business practices. Shame on you Aaron for your company giving misinformation and being unethical.

Granted, our move is a big one (California to Montana) and the quote came back high but was not too far off from two other moving companies (national moving companies). After we closed on our house in Montana, we realized that we would not be able to take everything we had planned so we went back to them and asked to remove a considerable amount of stuff and requote and it came back as $4100 more than the original quote that I signed. The explanation was that they had used the wrong contract when they originally quoted us. This makes me question the reliability of the estimation process. Sadly, I used another local agency for our out of state move and hope that they look at their processes going forward.
