A peaceful retreat. When I say I have never in my life felt so peaceful.... that's hard-core. I take my peace very seriously, and rarely get it. From start to finish, the rental process was easy, we arrived pretty late at night and came "home" to a beautiful clean comfy place. You do have to be careful parking, so read everything they say! Our experience was amazing. The caretaker Allison is an absolute Gem of a person. She's so kind, and goes out of her way to make sure you have anything and everything and enjoying your stay. I give her 100 stars! This place is beyond gorgeous and so dang peaceful. And full of fun things to do. And Allison is the best. I cried when we had to leave. It's heaven

Horses wander around outside the fence in the evening. We took our dogs and they had a great time there are dog bowls inside and a pillow and blanket for them. We love to cook, so one of our favorite parts of the kitchen was a giant built in cutting board on the island. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us in the wine cooler, and fresh eggs from their chickens. The beds were really comfortable! We had a boat slip at the marina, and it took us only about 10 minutes to drive from the homestead to the marina. Overall, we had a great time, and if the lake has water, we plan to go back!

One of the problems when staying with dogs at a hotel is that, at least with my dogs, they tend bark at every little noise. With people checking in at all hours of the day, this can become annoying. So I figured staying in a small bungalow would be a good fit. Not only would did it have it's own private backyard for them to run around in, I could also kick back and do a BBQ. Doing an online search for pet-friendly places I stumbled upon Cambria Beach Bungalow, which is managed by the Blue Whale Inn in Cambria. Looking at the photos, I decided to stay there. Although expensive, I really enjoyed my stay here. It's about a block away from the Beach, so it was real easy to walk the dogs down there. The interior is country home kitsch, it has two bedrooms and some fold out couches in the living room where you can accommodate more guest. The main drag to Cambria is less than a mile so it's easy to get supplies there. The backyard has a nice garden and plenty of room to run for small dogs. There is a fence to hold the dogs in, but a larger athletic dog should be able to jump it if they had the urge. They have a charcoal BBQ in the back yard , so I went to Soto's Market in Cambria and purchased some grass-fed Hearst Ranch rib-eyes and hamburger to grill. Mighty tasty! I enjoyed my stay at the Cambria Beach Bungalow as did my dogs. You do pay a pet fee as well as a cleanup fee so it does get expensive, but hey, once in a while I will splurge for the pets.

Looking at the posted reviews, I don't see any current (2015) listed and this would be helpful.

Excellent property management company assistance The house I…read morerented was in a very convenient location in the town of Cambria and centered between Morro Bay and Ragged Point allowing for tons of beautiful area to explore. Due to a circumstance beyond the property managements (Scenic Coast Property Management) control I needed to be relocated. Valerie was in touch with me immediately and not only gave me four different homes to choose from, but she actually took the time to speak to me about each individual house and made sure I picked the right one for rest of my vacation needs. The house they moved me into was an upgrade as well and I was not charged extra for it. It's nice to know that I can depend on someone like Valerie and SCPM to be there if needed. I will definitely be using their services whenever I visit the central coast.

Unfortunately, the home didn't match the location, and several issues made our stay less comfortable than expected. It was disappointing. What We Loved * Unbeatable beachfront location * Gorgeous ocean views from the living area and outdoor space * Easy access to the sand and beautiful sunsets Where the Home Falls Short * Beds are extremely high -- so tall that we needed a step stool to get on and off. * Bathrooms are tiny, barely larger than an airplane lavatory. It's difficult to move without bumping into something. * Oversized furniture makes the small rooms feel even more cramped. * Overall cluttered feel throughout the home. * Carpets hold a lot of dust, and we found ourselves sneezing more than usual. * No dishwasher, yet oddly there are two microwaves. * Outdoor furniture is in poor condition, with many pieces filthy & unusable. * Wood‑burning fire pit creates ash that blows everywhere, making it hard to enjoy the outdoor space. * Some areas were not cleaned properly upon arrival. To their credit, the cleaning crew did return to address those spots after we reported them. * No screens on any windows or doors, which became a real issue during a heat wave. We opened windows in the cooler mornings and evenings, and insects poured in. * We even had to vacuum insects off windows that don't open, and some windows were missing hinges entirely. * Laundry was an ordeal -- when the washing machine ran, the pipes vibrated violently & loudly inside the walls. * Linens were full of lint, and even after washing them, the pillowcases (which were padded) continued to shed. Overall The location and view are undeniably amazing, but the home itself needs significant updates, repairs, and a more thoughtful approach to cleanliness and comfort. With some attention and investment, this could be a fantastic rental -- but in its current state, it fell short of expectations.

Never seen anything like this. In the mornings they bring you a picnic basket with a thermos full of coffee, some pastries and a do it yourself mimosa. The hotel has easy access to the moonstone boardwalk that runs along the bluffs. Easy walk to the boardwalk and to the beach to enjoy the sunset. Need to come back to stay at this place.

booked a fri + wknd getaway to cambria to honor my furbaby's first heavenly anniversary. i just…read moreneeded to unplug and wanted to reminisce all the memories we shared in a peaceful place. cambria was perfect. it was overwhelming picking an inn to stay at, but white water just kept calling my name. booked a deluxe king room online with the inn directly vs third party site. love that they are pet friendly ($100/stay) . white water is gorgeous. the lobby is so chic. love the greenery. check in was smooth. i was assigned to room 21. i believe in signs and this, all this was meant to be. the room was clean and had everything in it, minus food, def stayed in majority of the time. the boardwalk was directly across the way, just had to cross the street and you're there. the ocean views were perfect. loved the breakfast picnic baskets each morning. made our breakfast and we got to enjoy it on our bench outside our room. parking is not a covered lot, it's open spaces and kinda smaller spots, so if you have a truck or larger suv, def will be going over the line. a few ev charging spots. there are plenty of spots to park along moonstone drive. they also do have mini fridges in the room and no microwave. LOVE the Aesop products in the room!!! a few downside during my stay were: the few times i went to the front desk, the "out of office" sign was up each time. i wanted to rent a bike to bike around the town, no one was around to assist. i waited about 10-15m each time. they have a fire pit that was on the entire time. i heard they provide s'more kits, but we were not provided with any. there isnt really any pet relief area on site. also, all units do not have AC, only fans. i had no service while i was there. i literally was on SOS. i actually loved it. don't worry, there is wifi avail! i would def book white water again!

I enjoyed this place so much! There's plenty of parking outside, a spacious industrial kitchen, and plenty of rooms for everyone! It was such a unique experience living in the house and really made you feel like you're part of some 1920's movie/film. There is also a bar area for fun pics and drinks. They also have a tv in the house and older tv's in the room. Each room within the house is very uniquely different - seems to be different themes. When I got here, I had Pretty Little Liar vibes for some reason due to the decor. I definitely would recommend this place instead of getting a hotel, or nearby area with plenty of bedrooms. This place is great for family get togethers, reunions, or large group events. I heard that they usually rent out the entire place.
