It made for a good Instagram, however, yesterday we went to Blacker Hall Farm where we ordered afternoon tea - only to be treated to larger sandwiches, a giant scone each, and three unique delicious desserts. This far exceeded my expectations and also was quite a bit more tasty than Betty's. Would definitely visit again soon!

As kids we'd take the long walk to the dam, wear ourselves out running about and feeding the (greedy and bold) ducks, then nag the adult trying to keep an eye on us to take us to the Beuley. Once in we'd have egg on toast, or beans on toast, or spaghetti on toast, and fizzy drinks. The auntie or cousin would have a cuppa and sag with exhaustion. Aaah, memories. Patchwork pate is truly amazing and if any of you have ever eaten any of their pates then you'll know what I mean - it is nothing like supermarket pate and I refuse to buy any pate from a supermarket nowadays!
