They have quite an extensive choice of teas, coffees, juices and smoothies, and an impressive array of cakes.....must try one next time as they looked gorgeous. As well as their standard tables and chairs (great if you're eating), they have some comfy looking armchairs in the windows, so you can do a spot of people watching whilst you enjoy your food and drink. Also, they have an outdoor seating area, great for when the sun is out! The place has only been open a few weeks, and they have done a really nice job with the conversion work. Disrespectful staff accusing me of stealing when the cashier just didn't charge me properly…read more Threatening me and accusing me when I was a normal customer who just came into the store to mind my business eat my panini but the bad attitude and anger ruined the whole experience. I do not recommend, I will never come back, the worst cafe in wortley. Disrespectful staff! Bad attitude! And a whole load of anger mismanagement!

Once again the welcome was warm and genuine (I'll check this again after the first flush of newness has passed). There is a varied menu available but I am a neo-traditionalist and decided on a chilli chicken panini. I have to say I enjoyed every bite but there didn't seem to be as many bites as I'd like for the money (although with their special deal it was only £3.50 for the panini and a coffee). This feels a comfortable place to take a break, so much so that I almost found myself joining in with the staff's banter.

Now size isn't normally an issue for me but at the corner house it's as though a much smaller cafe has been transplanted into this enormous space and it seems kind of lost. The area behind the counter is bigger than most cafes. I've actually visited a few times and kept meaning to write a review mainly slating the coffee but now that I've got round to writing i see that they are offering cafetieres so the coffee may well have improved. This time I needed food so I chose a hot beef sandwich with onion. The sandwich was indeed hot and most assuredly beefy in the extreme but i did find it a little low on onion. my mug of tea was splendid (so who cares about the coffee) and the prices were jolly reasonable. The staff here are rather friendly and within moments of sitting down I was being asked to help put up a banner announcing the cafe's first anniversary (28th November) where, I was told, there will be a bit of a party and sandwiches will start from £1

Don't get me wrong, the bread was delicious and soft, the bacon was nice and thick and cooked to my liking but when a man's hungry, wants a large, orders a large and expects a large, it's disheartening to find he only has a large bread cake :-( I would recommend eating there, the staff are polite and friendly and the food was good, just not enough for this hungry man. The interior of the store is comfortable and attractive and appeared to be clean in all areas, including the toilets. They also had a nice selection of merch including a Yorkshire branded "You are Here" mug. The service wasn't the best, I did have to repeat my order multiple times and the barista who took my order appeared to be disinterested, but my drinks were made correctly and up to the usual Starbucks standards. This location supports online ordering and appears to charge the same price as you'd expect to pay at the majority of Starbucks stores in the UK. I ordered a Venti Iced White Mocha and was pleased with my drink. My guests also enjoyed their beverages. PRO TIP: If travelling along the M62, this Starbucks is just a short detour off the motorway, and is cheaper than stopping off at the motorway services for coffee. 4* - A nice and comfortable Starbucks location in a useful location, with good drink quality.
