A pleasing selection of home-made cakes and scones and other treats tempt the taste-buds, with panninis, cebattas and wraps being the main part of the sandwich selection. Everything is well-made and the staff are courteous and friendly. Still looks pretty good though, and head and heels above the other cafes in town (yuck) and especially when compared to what it used to look like six years ago before it became Mocca-Moocha. If you have read my other reviews you will realise I am a design snob (!). Adequate seating inside and out, all food is placed on display and the prices are reasonable in comparison to the large franchises and chains throughout the town, and i would choose this place and Grind coffee shop above them any day. It is very popular being in an ideal location. Keep on going Mocca-Moocha! I will update this review as this cafe improves!

This morning paid with cash and realised for what you get this place is expensive. 2 slices of toast with marmalade and a large caramel latte for over £5 is bit expensive. The toast was only done on one side and for some reason the latte tastes funny. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in my morning Costa's.

That ultimately dead hour, where everything is set to close, and life has departed. It was supremely bad timing, and having missed most other cafes, Grind was our only hope. We wandered in to an empty space, where the girl immediately let us know she too was closing up imminently. That was fine, we said, we could get take away and sit outside. This was fine by her, so long as we didn't make use of their al fresco seating, as that was to be packed away. I gestured to the reasonably new public seating outside, and said that's where we'd be pulling up a pew. I had a latte of some description. The cafe inside is reasonably attractive-clean, simple and relatively spacious. They have all the usual suspects, in terms of drinks and suchlike, and no doubt plenty of snacks to enjoy. As we were to be in and out, I didn't really have the chance to fully intake the details and minutiae. In any case, the visit was fairly unremarkable, but not unpleasant. As for the coffee, I couldn't say it was outstanding, but it was the caffeine hit I needed for a day wandering about the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. In that regard, I can say, if you need a hit the Grind will serve you well.

I wasn't particularly impressed my the speed of service and even less so by customers being allowed to bring their dogs inside. But hey, I can forgive a lot for a good latte.....if only I'd got one. My latte was well below the 'Costa mark' (which is my average, nothing special but drinkable point). The overwhelming taste being scorched milk .
