It is obvious as soon as you walk in that this isn't what a kebab shop looks like. It's clean and airy with a large counter displaying a variety of salad items. The staff were a cut above as well. Unfortunately as well as upping the standards they have also upped the price with the result that I paid more for a standard kebab here, out of town than I would in the city. They serve an impressive array of kebabs here and I will certainly be treating myself again in the near future. I put the disorganized nature of the service down to the newness of the venture.

The staff here are pretty helpful and will often offer to bring the meal to you when done while you sit down with your drink. I have rarely had any problems with the quality of the food: I think on only one occasion the fries were underdone. One thing McDonald's has over Burger King is that the fries are both salted and there is extra salt readily available. I find lately that BK both leave their fries unsalted (ugh!) and will only give you salt if you actually ask at the counter (and if you forget, you will have to either queue or brave the angry looks and mutters of the queue if you jump in). If this is a health initiative it's rubbish: if you were concerned about health in the first place you wouldn't be eating at a fast food joint, plus fries without salt are horrid.

Without airing my laundry, me and my partner had a homeless spell before christmas and we were cold, it was throwing it down with rain outside and we needed the toilet and food. We went in and the staff could see we were distressed, they allowed us to use the toilet and gave us 2 portions of chips and told us to pay them back when we were no longer homeless. The minute we were housed we paid them back of course but this shows the level of hospitality is available from this establishment. Amazing place to go!

They also had some rather yummy Polish coconut wafers, lovely rye bread and absolutely addictive turron durro (Spanish nougat). That's when they had the latter in, at least: they were perpetually promising me they were expecting supplies 'next week', with 'next week' always disappearing over the horizon! I did have a problem with one product but was promptly offered a refund with no quibbles. A very nice shop, I will be sorry if it has closed.

I called them to let them know about this and the person who I spoke to tried to tell me that I hadn't ordered the missing items. This was despite me having an email to prove it. I hung up and rang back to speak to someone else. This second person agreed that I had ordered the missing items but refused to send them out as it would take them too long and they also refused to refund the money. It took another call to just eat to get a refund. Shockingly terrible.
