Unfortunately I missed the half price offer but, having travelled right across Rothwell I decided I would (gulp) pay the full price (less 10% on collection). I scanned the menu but as i did so I overheard one of the staff saying there was a long wait. Long wait indeed! on asking I was told that it was about one and a half hours which was clearly to long for a hungry boy like me. Apparently they are taking orders and ringing the customer when it's ready which is a reasonable plan but doesn't work for a quick fix addict like me. I will try Rothwell Tandoori but only when I am able to plan my dining in advance.

That being said, the real quality on the menu is in the signature and specials sections. If you love your curry, but are interested in experiencing something a little different from the bog standard UK curry dishes (Korma, Balti, Tikka Masala etc), then there is plenty of joy to be had, including some Bangladeshi dishes that you don't often see at the local curry house. We have only ever ordered from these guys through JustEat, so have no real experience of their face to face customer service, but the delivery men have been friendly, and well prepared with change when paying in cash. The only slight downside that we have experienced is in the length of time required for an order to be delivered, but this is probably a consequence of the menu variety rather than anything else. I'd rather wait longer for a meal to be properly cooked, than have a quick delivery of a reheated pot that was made the day before. It is also worth noting that the delivery estimates have always been pretty spot on, so any waiting time was at least expected.

Just the other day I was sober and yet craving a Kebab. Those of you who live in more cosmopolitan…read moreareas probably won't appreciate how difficult it is to get a kebab in Rothwell but I knew that Alfresco had the required item and off I shot to fill my tummy. I was a little put out by the price but it is a while since I've bought a kebab and inflation being what it is etc etc I coughed up the dough. What i got for my £4.50 was a do it yourself kebab. A pitta, a good amount of kebab meat, a container of salad and a container of chilli sauce which I was then able to take home and combine (At this stage I was rather relieved that I was a. sober and, b. not trying to eat my kebab as I walked the streets) The combined ingredients were good enough but not outstanding and the most telling factor was that last night I picked up a reduced kebab ready meal from the supermarket for £1 and it had exactly the same ingredients (except the salad), in the same quantities; took not much longer to put together and tasted better. I tried a pizza from here not so long ago but I decided it was a poor substitute for my regular pizzeria (just personal taste, I don't like a lot of grease)
