Dr Schwarz comes into exam room,gives her a look over then listens to her heart & says I need to take chest Xray now. I knew @ that moment from the very concerned tone in his voice & the look on his face that my girl wasn't coming home. After he gave me a detailed explanation of the X-Ray he brought me to her. 2 of his staff were standing over my girl,one giving oxygen & slowly petting her & talking to her, the other also petting her, it appeared were assuring Maia they were with her. I had to make the decision to let my furbaby go. Dr Schwartz gave her the 1st shot & I was able hold her, hug her, stroke head talk to her, until the end. As upsetting & heartbreaking this was Dr Schwartz (who is not my dogs vet) could not have been more wonderful, compassionate, or empathetic. And this extends to all the staff who were there. I want to say THANK YOU for making this very upsetting situation "tolerable" with the kindness you extended to me, I deeply appreciated it. I had tried to make an appointment in late June and was told to just go somewhere else. So I did.... In August I immediately get bombared with calls, texts, emails about how my pets are due for vaccines now. They continued to lie and pressure me about dates (my pets are not due until September). When I asked "I'll make an appointment but can you tell me what just happened for the last few months and why your staff advised me to seek elsewhere?" We appreciate their flexibility and availability, as we do not have to schedule appointments months in advance. We have even had more than one situation in which we had to bring our animals in unexpectedly, and each time they were quick to call back and were able to get us in within hours. The turnaround time for the testing we have gotten has also been incredibly quick (usually within hours) and we appreciate how thorough they are when they explain findings, options, etc. They truly seem focused on providing the highest quality of care without the fear of bankruptcy. It never feels like they are trying to sell you on something to increase their profits rather, they are transparent about pricing and often recommend the less is more approach and what options can be explored/tried before jumping to the most expensive interventions right off the bat and each time, their recommended interventions have been spot on in addressing our pets' needs. Dr. Weiss' straight to the point approach really eases your anxiety, because he focuses on the symptoms and presentation and what can concretely be done rather than allowing you to let your mind get the best of you or worrying yourself with all the what if's. We are really grateful to have found this practice and look forward to working with them for years to come.

The staff was great; Britney was wonderful and very open to my concerns and worries. Blue had a wonderful time, made friends and was told he was selective when picking buddies lol Everyday they sent me pictures of him socializing with his friends. It definitely helped with bringing my anxiety levels down. They groom the dogs here, and I must say my blue Cane Corso came back looking like a million bucks. Please keep in mind we've been through 2 trainers that wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. Also recommended euthanasia. Also, no one would board her. No one. I had to put on my horse boots so I could get a better grip on the ground because she was pulling so hard to either go after him, or me pulling he towards the house and let me tell you- Mastiffs are strong. And I work with horses. Lol. She HATED her new trainer. Barked aggressively at him and threatened him. Felix Rosado was un-phased and calm. It took a lot of logistics and strength to get her into his house and in a crate (I had to do it because she was definitely going to bite him with me around) Felix again, unphased. Almost an hour long drop off. A lot of drama. I admit, I cried in the car afterwards. Then I was thinking....WTF. How is he going to handle her or get near her?! She wanted to eat him. Felix's references put my mind at ease and I did my best not to think about it. This is my baby. I stress. Nope. For once, I felt comfortable. I found someone with the balls to work with her. I respect the shit out of anyone willing to risk an attack to wrk with a misunderstood, aggressive dog. He's obviously very passionate about what he does. That in itself speaks volumes. Not only did Felix keep in touch with me throughout her stay with updates (I call them "PupDates"), he sent me a video of him scratching her, giving massages that same night Nala was putty in his hands. I picked her up today, she didn't give a shit about me. Loved him. LMAO. I came home from my trip with a very happy dog that made a new friend/trainer. I look forward to working more with them both because they're a great couple. I'm so happy and relieved. Thank you Felix Rosado!
