But when we had a problem with identity theft, the problems really showed. Glad we got our money back- so happy about that, but the fact that someone in Czechoslovakia could charge over $3800 before raising a flag... We have never been out of the country, barely leave Indiana(heck I don't even have a passport) and these yahoos were able to shop till they dropped!

She showed my mom such patience, kindness and dignity when my 81 yr old Mom got locked out of her online baking. (twic) She came and used her break time to sit down with my mom in the branch and help me and my mom walk through her online banking. i'm not my mother's POA although that's in the works, she allowed me to help my mom with her personal information in the bank. We lack such kindness and customer service these days. I decided after long convincing from my mom. Because my mom has been a customer since your bank opened , and was a customer of the bank that you took over in Hammond. But she is the reason that I decided to open a bank account with your bank last week. This person needs to be recognized and I wish I knew her last name, but I believe her first name was Sonia. I will try to be reaching out to a branch manager, so that manager understands and recognizes what a beyond the scope of her job employees she as far as customer service. Thank you thank you thank you to her. I hope you treat your employees up to their value because a lot of companies do not! I would beg any parent (or person in general) to not keep money at this bank…read more Long story short - My father passed away a few months ago. I am his beneficiary. Went through the courts to get all the proper documentation (which took several weeks and was very difficult in its own right). I went into Inova Michigan City today with all the proper documents showing I had legal rights to his accounts. The lady was EXTREMELY rude. Started off the conversation by basically telling me it was going to be impossible to withdraw the money today, even though I had already gone through the process at Horizon and it took all of 20 minutes. She told me it would have to go through some "approval process" first... Like, what? I need some head of the bank to approve getting MY money out? Second, she tried to tell me my documents (that came directly from the court) were not right. After I insisted she start the process, she continued to try to push me out of the bank. She ended up calling someone from compliance who said the court documents were missing some "seal" that they wanted it to have. It was the ORIGINAL document directly from the court... I ended up having to leave without my dad's money. Please do not use this bank. Do not leave money in here and force your kids to go through this. Horizon and Chase are much better options in the area.
