Order & pickup from the outside window and there are picnic tables with umbrellas in the front and out in the back with a short trail down to the river bank. I finally stopped by Sundaes By The River recently. They were closed over through the 4th holiday, so I came back over the past weekend. There was a steady stream of customers here. I took my time to choose the ice cream flavors (writing it down) for an ice cream flight before walking up and placing my order. I ordered the 5 flavor Ice Cream Flight ($10) with Waffle Chips ($1), including Peanut Butter Caramel Cookie Dough, Coffee Oreo, Key Lime Pie, Kahlua Brownie Crunch, and Playdough. My treat was scooped to order and presented nicely with the abundant waffle chips layed out around the ice cream flight. I enjoyed my ice cream flight and waffle chips out in the back with my black iced coffee I picked up nearby. Other than a few mosquitoes flying around, I was able to enjoy and finish off the entire ice cream flight on a warm, but not too muggy evening.

During my fall foliage drive, I stopped by Whippin Good over their final weekend in 2020. I ordered a Cider Donut Sundae ($4 plus tax), which had a warm cinnamon sugar cider donut with a big dollop of dense soft serve vanilla ice cream topped with caramel drizzle. They use donuts from the Chichester Country Store, which is my favorite place for cider donuts in New Hampshire. The Cider Donut Sundae was really good and I enjoyed my cold treat at one of the adjacent colorful picnic tables. I will be sure to return to Whippin Good for more soft serve treats next season!
