Every staff member I've interacted with has been so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The office is also really nice. It's clean, comfortable, and feels very well taken care of, which definitely makes you feel more at ease when you're there. I had been dealing with dry eye issues since May and had been struggling to find somewhere that could see me in a reasonable amount of time. I was really thankful that Sac Eye Consultants was able to get me in much sooner. Even though dry eye may not always be considered an urgent issue, I had been dealing with symptoms for months and it was really affecting me. I truly appreciate that they have availability for patients who are struggling and need to be seen, even if their issue isn't necessarily considered an emergency. It meant a lot to me to finally be able to get an appointment and start getting some answers. Thank you to everyone at Sac Eye Consultants for being so kind and making my experience a good one so far!

The bad part was checking in online! I was having trouble doing it and I tried it several times and it may have been my fault, however when I was checking in, I told the human at the desk that I was having issues filling it out online and instead of offering any other type of paperwork to fill out, he only said unfortunately I have to do it online! I find this to be absolutely pathetic way of doing business You should always offer another way for me to do what was once your job! And that's another reason on how pathetic my experience was! The funny part is that I have some of best insurance coverage you can get!

A Truly Outstanding Eye Care Practice -- More Than 20 Years of Personal Experience!…read more I don't normally take the time to write online reviews about my personal experiences. However, when I was invited to share my thoughts about Eye Site of Sacramento, I felt compelled to respond. My wife, Kathy, and I have been patients of Eye Site of Sacramento for more than 20 years, and I can say without hesitation that the quality of care we have received throughout those years has been exceptional. I was originally referred to Dr. Richard Jones, MD, by my longtime internist, who told me that Dr. Jones was the ophthalmologist trusted by many of Sacramento's own physicians. He assured me that I would be in excellent hands, and he couldn't have been more correct. Over the years, Kathy and I have also had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Christian Serdahl, MD, and Dr. Andrew Chun, OD. Each of these doctors has consistently demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism, knowledge, and genuine concern for their patients. In fact, I actually look forward to my semiannual eye examinations! A few years ago, Kathy underwent cataract surgery through Eye Site, and the results were outstanding. She now enjoys 20/20 vision and never misses an opportunity to remind me of that fact, particularly when I'm putting in my contact lenses each morning! I would also be remiss if I didn't recognize the wonderful office staff. They are consistently friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and exceptionally well organized. From the moment you arrive until your appointment is completed, they make the entire experience pleasant and efficient. After more than two decades of firsthand experience, I can confidently say that Eye Site of Sacramento represents the very best in quality eye care. Kathy and I couldn't recommend them more highly! -- Brent Jones

Excellent Cataract Surgery Experience…read more Five years ago, my eye doctor told me that I was in the early stages of developing cataracts. This year, I noticed that my vision was no longer clear, even with my glasses, and increasing my prescription was no longer helping. After speaking with my primary care physician, I was referred to Dr. Rashidi. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to get an appointment compared with other specialty referrals I have experienced in the past. During my consultation, Dr. Rashidi thoroughly explained my cataracts, the surgical procedure, and the different lens options available to me. I could have chosen the standard lens replacement, which would have improved my vision by removing the cataracts but would not have eliminated my need for glasses. Instead, Dr. Rashidi explained two enhanced lens options that had the potential to reduce--and potentially eliminate significantly--my dependence on glasses, particularly for distance vision. These options came with a high additional cost, so I spent quite a bit of time thinking about what made the most sense for me and my lifestyle. What I appreciated most about Dr. Rashidi was that I never felt pressured to make a decision. He clearly explained my choices, answered my questions, and gave me the time I needed to decide. I also want to give special recognition to Kate, Dr. Rashidi's surgery scheduler. I probably wasn't the easiest patient to work with because I went back and forth several times trying to decide which lens option was right for me. I had numerous questions and made several phone calls, but Kate was always patient, knowledgeable, and happy to help. She took the time to explain the different options and never made me feel like I was being a nuisance. She was also able to schedule my surgeries within just a few weeks of my initial consultation. Both surgeries went extremely well, with no complications. I am currently healing and looking forward to the final results as my vision continues to improve and is fine-tuned. I also did a cost-benefit analysis before making my decision. While the enhanced lenses were a significant investment, I believe the long-term savings from no longer needing prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses will help offset the additional cost over the next few years. More importantly, the potential improvement in my quality of life made the investment worthwhile for me. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Rashidi and Kate to anyone considering cataract surgery. Dr. Rashidi is knowledgeable, thorough, and patient, and Kate provides exceptional support throughout the process. I am very happy with my experience so far and am excited to see the final results.

I do NOT recommend this clinic. This is a long-overdue review based on repeated issues over time…read more I was quoted $400 for an appointment on April 13th and made plans based on that. When I followed up for clarification, I was then told the cost would be $575 plus a $175 follow-up fee. When I asked for clarity on the discrepancy, I was met with a dismissive response of "I am not going to argue with you," rather than a clear explanation. There has also been repeated confusion between staff and provider regarding appointment type and billing. I was scheduled for a "full exam" and billed accordingly, despite already having completed that exam previously and only needing a follow-up. Even after I raised this, I was initially told conflicting information by staff, and then corrected afterward. Overall, communication between staff and provider is inconsistent, pricing is unclear, and patients are left trying to interpret conflicting information. This creates unnecessary stress and confusion in a healthcare setting where clarity is essential. Due to these ongoing issues, I will not be returning and do not recommend this office.

From what I understand from office staff, you're being recorded from the time you walk in, in the lobby, and in the exam room. She also told me that's not something they usually disclose. I'm not sure why they would feel the need to record their patients - when the office is open and people are there. It certainly can't be because of past burglaries *because the office is open*. Very nice people who were helpful and patient with my grandfather when I brought him in for a referral on cataracts surgery. As soon as Keith walked in, he was rude, dismissive, disrespectful, and did not even have all of his facts straight. He spoke over my grandfather, dismissed his concerns, and spoke to him as if he was a child. It was only when I stepped in and started to push back that Keith toned down the attitude, but not by much. Keith told my grandfather that he could not perform the cataracts surgery unless my grandfather was laying flat on his back. My grandfather is disabled and is unable to accommodate this position. When we told Keith this, his response was "then I guess you don't want the surgery cause I can't do it any other way" followed by "you're telling me you can't lay flat for this, you have trouble with my machines here in office, and you can't even tell me why". When my grandfather said he could try laying flat, Keith said "you don't try with this, you either do it York you don't". There are plenty of other doctors in the region who can perform this surgery without the patient laying flat. The fact that Keith refuses to do so speaks volumes about him as a so-called doctor. If he can't accommodate a patient with a disability, he needs to find a different line of work. It was unbelievable the way he spoke to my grandfather, and I have already filed a formal complaint against him. Do not trust this man to work on your eyes. If he cannot accommodate a minor position shift for this, what else can't he do satisfactorily? Never mind the rudeness and unprofessional nature of the visit, this is a safety concern. If you're referred to Keith Liang, RUN in the other direction.
