It was such a smooth process, was actually also given a steriod script for the eye (unlike Liang -- no prescription and who btw doesnt even provide the disposable sunglasses). read more

In with two cataracts and astigmatism in both eyes as well. Out after doing the right eye; 20/20. Colors are amazingly better as is clarity. Left eye is scheduled for same procedure and I'm sure the same results. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in the process and can answer most questions. They helped me with questions I had and all with no pressure to go with the vision repair. I was very hesitant to do this but am extremely pleased with the results so far. During my visit, he asked intrusive personal questions, like what I do for a living, in a way that was completely demeaning. It was obvious that he had no genuine concern for my well-being, nor did he provide a proper consultation. If you're considering LASIK, be warned: if they suspect you're shopping around, they will treat you terribly. As a healthcare professing my self , I have never encountered such a rude and disrespectful doctor until I meet Dr liang . I still can not believe how he treated my elderly mother. When she would ask questions - he would snap at her and respond " I told you the same information already , I don't know why you don't understand ". When she missed an appointment he grilled her about where she went and he told her that she should have her care elsewhere. My mother had never been rude to dr liang but he doesn't hesitate to be condescending to his patients. My wife and I have seen Dr. Liang for many years. While he does good technical work (Both our PRK surgeries from a decade ago turned out great) he has serious problems interacting with his patients. If you ask a question he is often dismissive with a condescending tone. Instead of talking to you and explaining something, he shows you all sorts of videos without telling you if or how the conditions they cover even apply to you. At her last visit, my wife needed a DMV vision form filled out, confirming her corrected vision was acceptable for driving. Dr. Liang REFUSED TO SIGN the form saying he was not comfortable filling out the DMV form because it was entitled "Medical Evaluation". Strange since Ophthalmologists are medical doctors. So, after paying Dr. Liang for a series of exams that confirmed her vision is fine for driving, he wouldn't sign a State DMV form confirming the same and she was forced to go to a new Ophthalmologist for a whole new exam at additional cost. The new Dr. had no issue with filling out the DMV form. What a disappointment... read more

I highly recommend this Opthamologist for any one dealing with a stye! One of the uggliest things you can have pop up on your face is a stye and I couldn't get in somewhere fast enough to rid my eye of this unwelcomed guest. Thankfully I called Dr. Liang's office and was able to get in within days. From start to finish I had a great experience with all of his staff. When I arrived I was greeted immediately and didn't wait long to be taken back for my exam with Pat, who was amazing. She was very friendly, and answered all my questions, completed most of my vision exam, and prepped me for the Dr. I watched some educational videos on styes as I waited for the Dr. I had another girl who was great, Christina (I believe was her name) come in who also assisted with my visit and provided information. Then Dr. Liang arrived and had had a good bedside manner, although I could see how very busy their office was that day. I was pretty impressed with how their work flow was as could see quite a bit from my seat in my room. Dr. Liang was very thorough, answered my questions without treating me like I was just a number. I appreciated the fact that he offered different options for treating my stye, which included draining it with a small surgical procedure but didn't push it. He didn't promise unrealistic results, stating it could still take quite a few months to heal and I decided to go for the procedure. I was really nervous and during the procedure he checked in frequently to ask if I was ok. After he drained my stye I was provided additional information on how to care for my eye and following treatments to maintain good eye health to hopefully prevent these from recurring. Luckily my eye looked sooo much better a few days after the procedure and I was glad I had it done. I had a follow up appt about a week after and again was impressed with the Dr and staff as they are all very professional and friendly. I will definitely return if I have any more issues with my eyes and highly recommend Dr. Liang! read more

The other staff members were all very nice, but Dr. Liang had a bad attitude. My vision was blurred because my eye was hit. After I got there, I underwent their examination. Finally, Dr. Liang told me that my loss of vision had nothing to do with being hit. I asked why my vision is blurry now, and he directly said that it is because you are old, so your eyes are aging and your vision is declining. The eye was hit 10 days ago. The vision in the eye where I was hit has dropped a lot. I am 42 years old. Even if my eyes age, it is impossible for my vision to decline so much in a few days. BUT WHEN GET TO THE OFFICE, IT IS A NIGHTMARE! Front desk staff asks for $50 refraction fee. I didn't bring money with me. I didn't owe a fee. My Partnership in Health (PIH), managed care company dealing with County run Medi-Cal pays the fee. While having pictures taken of both eyes (with my back to the door), one of the assistants GOT IN MY TOTE BAG TO GET MY SECOND PAIR OF GLASSES. Didn't ask me to get them. How rude and disrespectful! The assistant's response was "she was trying to be efficient" - wow! The doctor had not even seen me yet. Thus, it is unacceptable behavior! I brought with me my history of cataracts, from 2022 to present, Doctor not interested. Told me I was reading the reports wrong. Told me I was being rude. I blamed the front office staff. I was treated very poorly by Dr. Liang at my first appointment - demeaned and discounted for my condition. They charged me more than quoted and then I overheard the nurse say that the testing device was not even properly calibrated! But, I was at his mercy as few locations in Northern California perform IPL treatment for MGD, and my eyes had been burning for over a year following an accident... so I followed through with booking the IPL. On treatment day, the IPL device was used lightly and below my cheekbones !- NOT on the actual eyelids in need of treatment! What?! All I received on my painfully inflamed lids was a quick gland expression that I get done for FREE with my optometrist, and here he is charging $500 for improperly executed treatment, when others who perform the ACTUAL lid IPL treatment for MGD charge half as much at other locations (see eye care professionals of Nevada, etc.). This is the worst experience in any medical profession that I have EVER had! And only one of two Yelp reviews that I have ever written. read more

Because of previous reviews, I went to Dr. Liang expecting to get terrible service but great surgery. Instead, I had a fabulous experience with every part of their office. Dr. Liang's staff is incredibly friendly and professional. They helped me with the financing paperwork and answered all of my questions. If I could use one word to describe Dr. Liang, it would be meticulous. And when talking about my eyes, that's a wonderful thing. He and his staff checked and rechecked my eyes multiple times to make sure things didn't change before my surgery so that I would have the most positive outcome possible. Dr. Liang isn't super friendly and he doesn't have unnecessary chit chat, but that's not why I'm getting lasik. I don't need a good friend, I need a great surgeon, and that's what Dr. Liang is. That said, I didn't find him rude, short, or insulting in any way. I can't imagine him being anything other than professional, which he absolutely is. Because of my terrible vision and astigmatism, Dr. Liang told me I would probably only get 20/25 vision, and I accepted that because that's still way better than what I had before. UPDATED: IT'S WORSE NOW! I was here 6 years ago to help translate for a family member. It was awful then and SPOILER ALERT: It's even worse now. The only good thing that happened? We arrived 15 minutes early and they took us only after 5 minutes of waiting! Upon sitting, my grandpa told the lady I was his granddaughter/interpreter since his English is not good. They noted this in his file - I watched her write it. During the entire appointment, my grandfather was again treated like a child. Every statement or question was spoken normally with a high-pitched and smile-infested "OKAY?" at the end. Me? I'm another piece of furniture in the room. Some staff said hi to him; no one acknowledged me, but no big deal since we were there for him. The appointment began with a basic 10-minute check up, followed by us having to watch a series of three 2-minute-max-length videos in English -- I later learned that these videos exist in Chinese, but Keith explained that it is our fault for not asking. After the videos ended, we had to wait 20 min for staff to return. The door was wide open during the appt. so, I heard: - What was wrong with the old lady next door - How staff renovated her home. Long story short: staff's floors collected too much dust, it was gross, so she is going with a rustic brown color now. Staff has also done her own stairs, sinks, and faucets (she hates shallow sinks, FYI). Oh! And it only cost $13,000! At least Keith is paying his staff well! - A staff's (Sophia) phone call outside. After listening to the patient's question, she says, "Well we went over this at your appointment BUT I guess [insert explanation about oily eyelashes here]". She paused and says, "Well, we went over this as well, don't you remember?". I could go ahead and say how rude this is but i could also just add that if you want to be unprofessional to your patients, close the door so I don't have to yelp about it! --- Seeing how the staff can communicate with each other, but not with their clients is disappointing. It's like a job requirement to be afraid to connect with people. --- FINALLY, Keith Liang entered the room with another assistant (cue soundtrack from movie Jaws). Remember my last review said he wasn't the demon of the bunch? I lied. He is. Since 6 years had past, I decided to start with a clean slate. Surprisingly, he said hi to my grandfather (improvement!), but looked at me and said, "I need you to move to the other chair", so I moved. His assistant immediately sat down in the seat that my butt cheeks kindly warmed up for her without introducing herself or saying anything for the duration of the appointment. Plot twist: HER NAME TAG SAID SOPHIA :O (gasp!) While Keith spoke with my grandpa, I could tell that these medical terms were going right over his head, so I stepped in and asked, "Could someone please explain this to me as well, since I am here to help translate?". Keep in mind my grandpa doesn't know exactly what he has nor what the next steps are, so I was trying to get the full understanding. During this time, Keith's back was to me so it was difficult to really listen or be apart of the conversation. Dr. Impolite turned around, chuckled and interrogated me about what I do "as a profession". When I informed him I was a teacher, he laughed in my face and shook his head. The rest of the conversation was completely condescending as if being a teacher meant I am too incompetent to understand. Ignoring his immaturity, I asked my questions regarding my grandfather's health, status, and procedures. Keith's answer to all my questions was, "I don't know. No one knows. God doesn't even know, Ally". Okay.. Thanks, Keith. Are you sure you aren't the incompetent one? Furthermore, I learned Keith and some staff speak Chinese and materials are offered in Chinese, but when asked if he could accommodate my grandpa I was interrupted because I had somehow accused Keith of not trying. I was also told it is our fault because we don't remind them or ask for these accommodations each visit. That's ridiculous - it's in your file! At the end, I asked him to stop attacking me and like a school child, he exclaimed that I started it. Apparently asking for clarification is NOT OKAY with Keith. I then told him I was caught off-guard and felt it was irrelevant to ask about my profession to which he said that there is obviously some problem if I am afraid to share this information. He then muttered something about me being embarrassed, but he WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM like a teenager who didn't get invited to a party! Never have I been so disrespected by a "professional". He is IMMATURE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and RUDE. Best part is: My grandpa is now afraid to return in 6 months because he is scared Keith is going to hurt him given this interaction. It's sad to see that even after 6 years, some people don't change and instead, get worse. I am not the first complaint, I am not the last. Regardless, Keith doesn't care enough to change. read more

After 10 years of wearing glasses 24/7 I decided to get Lasik surgery done. Wearing glasses for half of your life and starting at a young age, you learn that glasses hold you back from life immensely. It starts from insecurities, always breaking them, not being able to see during activities like swimming, and just not being able to see .. period. I was recommended from my friend to go to Dr.Liang and I was not disappointed at all. Staff was nice, but the doctors.. best doctor experience I've ever experienced. I made an appointment with them through their website and they called me back to set a scheduled eye consultation/exam. They were very thorough and answered all the questions I asked. Dr.Liang told me I was a perfect candidate for the surgery so a week later my surgery was ready for me. (The whole process to get the surgery done was extremely fast; back to back appointments and they don't waste any time!!!) During the surgery, I was very nervous (due to researching a lot about lasik and watching a lot of videos of the procedure) but Dr.Liang was talking to me during the whole procedure which made me feel very safe and secured. Dr. Michael held my hand and made me feel VERY VERY SAFE. I couldn't thank them and everyone who helped me during the procedure enough! I have taken my mother there twice now. The receptionist are very professional and kind. The first time I took her there, we were taken to the back rooms. And was helped by another Chinese lady. She spoke to my mother in Chinese, but she was very rude, as if my mother was the hardest patient ever. I was glad when that lady left the room, and the doctor came in to help us. Dr Liang is very nice and spoke to my mom in Chinese. My mother feels very comfortable with him. And he is very informative. I would recommend dr liangs office to friends and family. I have been wearing glasses for approximately 41year as of today, and I am taking the plunge to have eye surgery completed. My optometrist referred me to Dr. Keith Liang with Center for Sight. I am very please to say, Dr. Liang and his staff, were very helpful and had answered all my questions. Dr. Liang explained clearly... the pro's and cons of each procedure suitable for me. I have gone through the priminarily testing, and needless to say, I am ready to do my surgery. The surgery went very well, and I am able to see 20/20. As he has mentioned to me I would need to use reading glasses when using the computer or reading. He even made it possible so I could read my iphone, and small labels when I am grocery shopping, etc... I agree that Dr. Liang and his staff are somewhat condescending, I been to the office for couple years now, and received mixed treatments. I had been told since my first visit that I may have Glaucoma and/or Dry eye, I need to be checked every six months until my eyes' condition improved. It would be appreciated if Dr. Liang and his staffs would treat their patients the way they like to be treated, explain the condition when questioned and where or how to get better information for themselves (i.e. the exact website to check on the condition) instead of being arrogant. Even though I was a new patient, his office staff made sure I had an appointment right away, and were all very welcoming, cheerful and personable. I went to Dr. Liang for cataract surgery with some trepidation because I am very sensitive when anything is close to my eyes. My experience could not have been more positive. Dr. Liang is very thorough and professional. He explained the examinations of each eye in details which were understandable and described the options available for treatment. On the days of surgery he was professional and caring as he did his work. Before, during and after surgery Dr. Liang' staff was surperb. They are professional, friendly, helpful and accommodating. No one wears tags to say who they are. There are so many people working there and you do not know if it is a doctor, nurse, assistant. They do not talk to you about the procedures, you literally have to stop them and ask questions. I got my prescription for new glasses but it had someone else's name on it (discovered at the time of purchase of my new glasses). The staff was not all sweet and kind and I was given another patients medicare card and when I brought it to their attention they did not even apologize to the man nor to me for not even giving me back my card until I had to ask. As far as Dr. Lang, he might be a great surgeon and eye doctor, but his bedside manor just stinks. Really felt like I was being herded like cattle through all their different rooms for this test and that test with no talk, no explanation.
