I was told to wear them and try to get used to it. Unable to, I was put through hell getting a refund even when the office manager acknowledged the defect--and I was 'banned' by letter from ever entering their 'Boutique' as punishment. From poor service by the Boutique, to failure to stand by their product, to trying to humiliate their clients.

I've been having episodes of debilitating and extreme double vision and dizziness for four years…read morenow. For the last two years, my regular neurologist has been refusing to address my issue, saying I need to see a neuro-ophthalmologist first. I waited over 18 months to see another (more qualified) doctor, but I couldn't get an appointment. Six months later I was told about Dr. Grand by a colleague of his. I was able to see him quite quickly because of a cancellation (the only reason I'd give him one star--it was the only thing that went well). When I arrived, a nurse, assistant, or tech saw me first. She gave me a tracking exam; it was quite thorough based on other exams I've had. It probably lasted 45 seconds or so, when my other exams only lasted 10 or 15 seconds. After that exam, Dr. Grand appeared. He asked me what my issues were. I told him I was having double vision and dizziness. That's all I ever had a chance to say about my symptoms. He cut in and started looking at my chart; he looked for about 30 seconds, then said he didn't have any of my MRI images. I told him they were supposed to have been included when my doctor sent over my medical records, and I was going to offer to get them to him. He cut in again and looked around in his system for a few more seconds, saying they could be there, but he may not be looking in the right place. He shrugged it off and said he did have the MRI written report, which he read (all of this took about 1.5 minutes). He pointed out my (nearly) normal results, including the eyes themselves. He tested my depth perception, which took about five seconds. Then he examined my eyes with the prism. He took the longest there, but only because he was interested in the corneal surgery I'd had about 35 years ago. The scars from it are very noticeable, and he was fascinated by them. We talked about the four procedures I had had on my corneas. This exam (including our conversation) took about five minutes. He stopped examining my eyes, and we talked about having prisms in my glasses (I already have them). He told me to keep them and to talk to my regular ophthalmologist about it. This conversation took about one minute. Then he told me that my eyes looked and were functioning normally, so he couldn't help me. He got up and left! This declaration took about 10 seconds. In the end, I spent less than 9 minutes in Dr. Grand's company. I've waited two years for this, and he forgot about the NEURO part of his specialty. I never even got to tell him the history of my condition. I didn't get to tell him any specifics of my episodes. He didn't know how severe my symptoms are because I wasn't having trouble while I was in his office (I had one later in the day) and he didn't ask or even let me talk. He is totally incompetent and does not know how to communicate. I filed a grievance against him with my insurance company.

For most, it would be devastating, but knowing that I have an awesome Neurologist who is easy to contact and quick to respond has offered me great comfort - along with determination to follow his treatment plan, think positive, and make adaptations where needed. As soon as Keith walked in, he was rude, dismissive, disrespectful, and did not even have all of his facts straight. It was only when I stepped in and started to push back that Keith toned down the attitude, but not by much. Keith told my grandfather that he could not perform the cataracts surgery unless my grandfather was laying flat on his back. My grandfather is disabled and is unable to accommodate this position. When we told Keith this, his response was "then I guess you don't want the surgery cause I can't do it any other way" followed by "you're telling me you can't lay flat for this, you have trouble with my machines here in office, and you can't even tell me why". When my grandfather said he could try laying flat, Keith said "you don't try with this, you either do it York you don't". There are plenty of other doctors in the region who can perform this surgery without the patient laying flat. The fact that Keith refuses to do so speaks volumes about him as a so-called doctor. If he can't accommodate a patient with a disability, he needs to find a different line of work. It was unbelievable the way he spoke to my grandfather, and I have already filed a formal complaint against him. Do not trust this man to work on your eyes. If he cannot accommodate a minor position shift for this, what else can't he do satisfactorily? Never mind the rudeness and unprofessional nature of the visit, this is a safety concern. Staff are cold and treated all these patients like they need them more than The business needs them to stay afloat. The Young doctor who just inherited This business from his recently passed away Father doesn't look like a professional doctor at all .He just sits there flipping over pages of file his dead father had noted on this patient never once looking up to see how his patient was doing not putting on any stethoscope on the patient to at least check him out.He was having a cold on that day and his nose was running. He wore gloves on that day and he was trying to clear his running nose by using those gloves as tissue and dappled on his so called short blouse , but actor was his shirt All in all he looks like a kid wandering from somewhere and got into this examination room to do medical work which he didn't perform at all . At the end he spit out 2 referrals phone none of them bothered to give us a call back. I feel sorry for those patients who were examined in this office. It's sad when I have to give a review like this.
