Center Cut Meats came into my life because I am looking to cut out the middle man (aka big box grocery) when buying beef, specifically ground beef. The market prices have gotten to expensive and I'd rather give my money to a small business vs a CEO. And Rogers isn't too far off a drive from Blaine, plus extended family is in the area. And I don't care for VonHanson's or Anoka Meats. So road trip to Rogers it is. I've grown up eating smoked meats from Thielen Meats (Pierz, MN) so I judge smoky smells and flavor to them. And walking into the market they definitely had something being smoked in the back! I saw a buffet on one side of the market but that was empty today. Only lunch buffet is offered during the week. Lots of deep freezers and upright freezers to grab different proteins (sausage, weiners, jerky, beef sticks, ground beef, patties and seafood). They also had a freezer full of take n bake pies. They also had a fresh deli salad and meat counter. Two guys working the fresh meat counter were very helpful. Gave me written instructions on cooking everything. It was only me and 1 other person the whole time. After I paid and waited for sis to pay, then 5 other people/families walked in. It got busy quick. We bought a frozen bologna ring (big shoes to fill because...Theilens), a stuffed pork chop, 2 cheesy Twice baked potatoes, and 2 stuffed jalapeños. Also 75/25 beef/pork blend of ground hamburger for only $4.49/lb. That's a price I like. We just came from MG Costco and price compared on different cuts of beef (ground, roast, sirloin, chops). These guys are just a tish cheaper too, which was surprising. Made a pork chops, potatoes and jalapeños for dinner tonight. Oh yeah! We'll be back. Those tastes 10 times better than Hyvees fresh meat counter. read more

I have been buying their 100 lb freezer pack for the better part of 10 years, and I drive over and hour now to pick it up. We love it!!

If you would have asked me for a top quality butcher shop yesterday I would have said "Center Cut Meats". My wife is making my favorite Steak with green peppercorn sauce for both my birthday today and Father's Day tomorrow. I stopped into Center Cut Meats asking for four cleanly sliced 4 Oz filets. The clerk had a puzzled look on his face. The more experienced clerk started giving instruction. Rather than slicing off the high quality beef tenderloin in the meat case, there was started collecting meat scraps. I paid $31 for my table scraps that were allegedly my $26.99 lb beef tenderloin. They didn't offer me a receipt. I got to my car and pulled the three separate packages out noticing one had no weight scale ticket. I went back in and the clerk rang the unmarked piece of meat as "Tenderloin " at $13.99 lb. And gave me $4 back as "the difference" Stay away from the unprofessional meat market. I certainly am! This is a wonderful business in Rogers. We moved here in Oct 2020 and I was blown away to have such a high quality butcher in our new hometown. They always have a great selection of quality meat, and they put lots of pre-marinated/pre-stuffed/pre-prepped stuff to grab and grill. They have so many snacks and sausages. Beyond the amazing stuff, they also have a deli and boy oh boy is it a treat. They also prepared lunches for the nearby 55+ apartments where the manager Shane collects orders and picks up lunch for the residents. I took in a deer to be processed here. The turnaround was fine, but when I got the meat back, there was only one tenderloin and it was cut poorly. I called to bring this up and was given poor excuses, including that it must've been my fault. I find it highly suspicious that the choicest cut would be missing, especially when they were both intact when I dropped it off. The bathroom was also completely disgusting, the place smells funny, and the display cases seem to be permanently dirty. I will not be returning for any reason. read more

I work near this joint. It's not that bad for lunch, but they have a small selection. Their brats are fantastic and their jerky is even better. I'll buy meat here once in a while as the prices are pretty comparable to larger grocery chains, but you can find out where the meat is coming from. If you hit this place up for lunch, try their wild rice soup and grab some jerky to go! read more

We spotted this place while in the area over the weekend. We are always looking for tasty local business to support. Especially business that offer an alternative to anything related to Rainbow or Cub foods. They've got a great selection of beef cuts, pork cuts, and seafood potions. They also have bulk buying options to give you more savings if you have space in the freezer. The deli meat selection is a little on the narrow side but they have all the essentials. We picked up the week's worth of deli meat( roast beef and pastrami), a pair of NY steaks, and a spicy beef snack. My wife cooked up the steaks last night and they were fantastic! Totally blew away anything we've tried at Cub or Rainbow. I've been enjoying the deli meat in my lunches too. This place also has a good selection of spices, rubs, grilling veggies and anything else you could possibly need to help you cook and prepare the protein. They even have sow's ears and leg bone chewies for the dog! The prices are about what you'd pay a the aforementioned grocers too. Next time we're in the area we will definitely plan on stopping by. read more

Just went to the Center Cut meats in Roger's. I've shopped there many times over the years. Today was my last. No face coverings on 2 people behind the counter, handling food like it was just a normal time for all of us. I called months ago to plan for a visit to MN. I was told that they had all that I needed to raw feed my dog - "lots of dog food". I visited the Albertville store because I was told that they had ground chicken backs. The only dog food that they had were the chicken backs. The shop has lots of space/coolers and had minimal products to sell. I bought a bag of chicken backs, frozen, and some lean ground beef, thawed. When the chicken backs thawed, the stuff smelled rancid. I have never smelled any raw meat as nasty - including lamb. I fed it to my dog and of course she got sick. So many better options, skip this one. read more

Was not impressed by Center Cuts Meats. They didn't have a lot of selection and most of their meats looked a little tired. I don't like to see chicken breasts floating in chicken juice for instance. Their brats were mostly all frozen and didn't look very appealing. Did buy seasoned steaks that turned out pretty good on the grill. There are quite a few better options in the area, Osseo Meats, Brothers Meat and Seafood are a couple of examples. read more

Horrible customer service!! We will never go back! My husband dropped off his deer for processing, it was his first deer and wanted the antlers. When my husband picked up the meat, which was sloppily packaged, they "lost" the antlers. They did nothing to rectify their irresponsible mistake. My husband was offered some other random pair, completely ridiculous! I guess we should have read the reviews prior to choosing this place. We will definitely be spreading the word to never use Center Cut Meats! The owner should be embarrassed of the multiple bad reviews! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Don't ever go there! I brought some goose in to get processed around the 20th of August. It wasn't done until the end of October and that's after I called them and bugged them about it multiple times! It also took all five employees rummaging through the freezer for half an hour to find my order. Also, a guy had to wait around for 20 minutes for help while an employee made phone call after phone call in front of us. I had to notify another employee that the man needed help. Once I got my finished product home I found two packages of ground goose and one package of ground pork in my box that was supposed to be combined into breakfast sausage but it wasn't. I called and they gave me the "That's not supposed to happen blah blah blah". I took it back, had to wait for ten minutes to be helped, then the guy wanted to charge me again even though I already paid! He told me someone would get right on it so I gave them two weeks and showed up. They told me nothing was written down the last time I was in (I watched the guy write down a slip in front of me, they must have lost it) and it wasn't done. I asked for my money back and that I never wanted to come in here again, so one of the employees went back into the freezer and "found" it and gave it to me. I think he just gave me around the same amount of bulk pork sausage to get rid of me. I didn't even care, I just wanted SOMETHING and I didn't want to deal with them anymore. I too received only one tenderloin that weighed 8ounces. I did not get any roasts. The steaks weighed 5 pounds 5ounces. The total weight of meat rendered was 36pounds. Go somewhere else. read more

Great steaks, burgers, smoked pork chops are personal favorites. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Often has a fresh seafood available. There is always a sale on something unique, and I believe their brats are made in house and are delicious. read more
