Decided to wander up here, and am happy I did. Granted, the clouds were pretty low this morning, so I'm not sure I got the full effect, but it was still neat. The only thing that was concerning is there was one off leash dog that was a little scary -- it made it so I couldn't do the loop around; it was snarling and offputting. Day 1 was with Matt and Day 2 we were with Jarrett. They were both fantastic and couldn't imagine being taken care of any better! We learned so much. Cherry River Fishing Access trail is out on the north side of MT-205 Frontage Rd, east of MT-412 19th Ave. There's a small parking lot by a circular path about half-a-mile-long. FYI, there's an outhouse in the parking lot. At the far end, there's a path that breaks off to the river, but we were there just for a sunset stroll. The wildflowers and the twilight mountain views were quite lovely. We walked the circle in 15 or 20min. It got a little too buggy for us, though just a little bug-spray would probably have kept them at bay.
