I was super surprised that it didn't because it's a cute place with a few different sections for different activities. There was a large open field with a hill that you could do many things at. I'd prefer to lay a blanket out and relax but you could exercise and play some games there. There was a baseball field with bleachers to watch a hometown game. And there was also a little playground set for the littles that looked like a good time. Overall, a great place to spend some time, especially when the weather was as good as it was when we were in Bozeman.

It's not too bad, but it takes a while because you have to dodge pot holes! It's a pretty easy hike that I clocked at around 5 miles and 2K elevation. At the time I didn't know you could easily tack on Naya Nuki peak and apparently you can also go left before you start heading towards the summit and do pomp peak and hardscrabble! It's a beautiful peak with an absolutely amazing view at the top. Very manageable day hike and stopping at fairy lake before or after is a must.

Then we saw the Madison River Tubing truck and so I looked into them and what they had to offer. It looked and sounded so fun, so I decided to book it online. The process was easy and smooth. The website did say each person needed a Montana Conservation License, which I had to purchase separately on another website. It was easy enough, however, I was never asked to present it. Maybe it was just in case. They also have coolers, dry bags, waterproof Bluetooth speakers, towels and waterproof phone cases for rental. We arrived on the day of our excursion at the "California Corner" and checked in. I had added a Bluetooth speaker and dry bag to our reservation. The river was flowing really fast while we were there, so our float was only about 90 minutes, but it was a lot of fun! You have to watch out for rocks and brush, but other than that it was a really fun and relaxing time. That water was a little chilly, but it felt good on such a hot day! The staff are excellent--very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Madison River Tubing.

The Madison River just outside of Bozeman was beautiful surrounded by mountains. Overall, it is worth the money. Don't be scared if you've never been fly fishing before! This river felt like a movie set, as it is exactly what you think Montana would be like. I was sitting there pinching myself like damn places like this actually exist? Being from LA and living in New York, I rarely get to be this connected with the earth, so when I get the opportunity I do my best to enjoy it. The other thing I realized was having a clear view of the night sky, with no light pollution, is beyond humbling. The stars just right in your face FLEXING on you, with shooting stars being a regular occurrence. I just felt so connected to everything, and everyone. 100 years ago and all of eternity before that, every human being had this view every night. It would explain why we were much more religious/spiritual. I think a non light polluted sky would solve a lot of our current problems: It reminds you how small you are, or that there has to be some sort of creator or purpose to all of this. Every dot in the sky is essentially another sun...? What an insane concept. I can't even comprehend that. In a weird way though, it brings me peace.
