I went to pick up the bracelet and I didn't get my old clasp back. The staff acted like I was insane for wanting my gold clasp back and told me it was "baked into the price". I was told over a week ago they would try to get it back for me though it was likely "destroyed" by the jeweler but haven't heard a word from them. I've never had jewelry repaired or replaced before and not received my original items back. The ring I brought in for a quote and was a family heirloom. Due to a miscommunication, the jeweler did the work without getting my approval, not understanding I only wanted a quote at the moment. When the store called me to tell me what happened they told me it would be over $600. When I declined to pay that as I only wanted a quote, they called me back the next day and offered to "meet me in the middle" and I pay half. I again decline. Ultimately they did the right thing and didn't charge me. I do want to say the work done was beautiful but they kept the gold clasp from my bracelet and made changes to an heirloom piece of jewelry I wasn't yet ready to change without my approval. I will not be trusting them with any of my jewelry in the future.

I would simply NEVER darken the door of this place! The owner is a THIEF and is unfriendly towards those with special needs, like me, a younger collector. He belongs to the same club as I do, and when I'd realized that I'd left my binder there, a friend who'd given me a ride home called this man who said that he'd have it for the person giving me a ride to bring it out to me which was 2 1/2 days later. I was glad we were able to reach him on the phone because I had regard for this man and trusted him to exercise proper custodial responsibility and protection of my coins, and had no inclination to believe anything but the best about this man as it regarded my coins, but he apparently thought it alright and OK to steal from me. I discovered that a 1 oz silver 25th Anniversary Maple Leaf coin had been taken, and in it's place, in the same flip that the Maple Leaf was in was a 1973 South Dakota souvenir dollar! Simply put, I had trust in this man, and he betrayed that trust by stealing from me. And if that weren't enough of a kick in the head, I've recently learned that my silver Maple Leaf coin must have been quite a hit, because recently Centennial Gold & Silver has procured ROLLS of this same coin that I had come up missing while the owner had my binder in his possession!
