A free farm with an expansive vegetable garden and animals to pet?! Oh, and free parking?! Love it!!

Centennial Farm is perfect for fun family outings! Located at the OC Fair Grounds. Plenty of parking. The staff and volunteers are really nice. Lots of farm animals to see; oxen, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, bunnies. Many of them you can pet. I strongly recommend encouraging kids who have been around farm animals to be gentle and quiet if they want the animals to be calm and not run away from them. There are multiple hand washing stations. Super cute aesthetic!

This is wonderful place to take kids to explore how a farm works, plus so much more. A popular place for school field trips, it can be a bit crowded on certain days, with long lines for some attractions-- like petting chicks or seeing baby pigs. We were lucky to experience a lot of fascinating exhibits, including the handwork weaving, beekeeping, and our favorite, the oxen. When we went it was a self-guided event, so you could choose what to visit and when, with experts explaining things. We really enjoyed petting the goats, sheep, pigs, cows, and chicks. Their garden was filled with a large variety of fruits and vegetables, and you could take home a radish to plant. There's a picnic area or a lawn to hang out in, with goats and llamas grazing on a nearby hill. We zipped through in a couple of hours, but could have stayed longer.

How i never knew about this Farm located inside the Oc Fairgrounds. I know they had it during OC Fair. Pretty cool free farm entrance. If i have known sooner. I'd bring the kids here sooner. We were able to do a free radish potting w educational staffs teaching us. They have chickens, sheeps, pigs & cows to name a few farm animals to view & learn about. Flowers and fruits planted here. Big Millennium Red Barn to check out and learn. When we went, it was on a rainy day. There was a lot of students there also having a field trip. So it's still open on rainy days. Parking is free. Highly recommended to visit with your kids or play date.

Our party came for the 41st UVSA Tet Festival and noticed this little farm at the OC Fair & Event Center. Please check the Centennial Farm Calendar for opening hours (currently 1 PM to 4 PM on Monday to Friday & 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturday and Sunday). [Admission]: No charge for admission & reservation not required. Our party was able to talk into the farm and I didn't see any staff during my short 15-minute visit. [Parking]: No charge for parking and available through Gate 1 off of Fair Drive in Costa Mesa & park in Lot B (adjacent to Centennial Farm and Heroes Hall); however I did pay $12 for the event parking (for the Tet Festival) so I am not sure whether free parking is still available when there's an event going on. [Animals]: Our party saw plenty of pigs, sheep, and cows. There's a sign asking visitors to wash hands after any animal or pen contact. Lots of exciting actions going on from sheep eating grass, pigs drinking water, and excited kids. It's a cute little farm and a great place to take your kids to.

Such a cute little place. I came here with my family and my 2 year old daughter loved this place. She had so much fun seeing the bunnies and goats and especially the big pigs. It was warm but nothing crazy. We were able to go through in probably 30ish minutes. And the best thing is it's free to the public! Can't beat that.

***a place for all them city folk to learn about farm life*** On January 14, 2020, I had the opportunity to travel as a volunteer chaperone with my daughter's first grade class to Centennial Farm in Costa Mesa, California. This place is a bonafide, three-acre working farm in the heart of SoCal! Yeehaw, y'all! First rule of order - ALLERGY MEDICINE. Even after growing up on a farm, I never could get over hay fever quickly without medicinal help. It's better to be safe than sorry. Second, bring comfortable walking shoes that you're okay with getting scuffed up and possibly a little dirty. After all, it is a farm. I'm not sure how reservations were made for our four classrooms, but I do know they were made far in advance. There were tons of other tour groups too. The docents run a tight schedule. Our groups ate our sack lunches from home at picnic tables near the restrooms before our tour. Reasonably clean, well-stocked restrooms with plenty of stalls and sinks - some with the steps for smaller kiddos. We saw SO many animals - sheep, cows, bulls, oxen, goats, pigs, donkeys, chickens, roosters, rabbits, geese, but sadly - no baby chicks. The kiddos learned a little about milking cows.... the various stages of an unhatched chicken in an egg... and how oxen help around the farm. The students also planted their own radish seeds to take home! Our volunteer docent was nice and friendly. I just wish we would have had a bit more time learning about all of the fruits and vegetables. All of this was free to my knowledge, however, we did donate a dollar (as suggested by our first grade teachers) to help the farm out a little.

I went with one of my kid's classes for a field trip. As far as I could tell it was a great field trip and a good experience for the kids. They have chickens, cows, pigs, goats and sheep. They are a working farm so they have some sales of produce and things. The people there seemed pretty nice but kinda just going through the motions because they do basically the same thing over and over and over for kids year after year. For a one-time visit though, I'd say it was pretty fun and just enough to see and do. The OC Fair is also held here and other events so the parking is massive. The fair was pretty fun but like most fairs, I would only really go once because they are overpriced for everything. There WAS at least one day that veterans could go for reduced or free though, so that was nice.

The oxen are really a sight to see, and I loved that the farm had them because they're exclusive to Asia!

This Place Is Awesome!!…read more I am not sure where to start on what I liked about this place.. This place was recommended by friends from Chicago.. From the moment we walked in the door we were greated by a friendly employee and he made us feel like we were gonna be taken care of.. The place looks like a pizza shop and has a total pizza vibe inside.. The place was clean and the seating was comfortable.. Ok... On to the food... We started with the bacon artichoke dip.. That was sooooooo good and just the right amount of cheese... Yum Yum... We also ordered a medium thin crust pepperoni pizza (to eat there) and we ordered a medium stuffed deep dish with mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage to bring home for a dinner in a few days.. The thin crust pepperoni was so good.. I am a pizza snob and this was pretty damn good that I struggled to remember when the last time I had pizza this good..I am being honest too.. The deep dish we did a half bake so it cooks easier in our oven at home.. Smelled good in the car for the 90 minute drive home.. Shout out to Chris.. You could tell he cared about the products.. He asks if you have been there before and then helps you decide the right pizza to make your visit the best.. I liked that.. We had a couple of beers to wait for the pizza.. Thank You Chris M.. for a great visit!! Just remember good food is always worth the wait.. Everything is scratch made and it shows in the product when you are eating.. This place also doesn't break the bank either.. Last thing... The Restrooms are clean.. That matters as it reflects on the rest of the restaurant.. THANK YOU RANCE'S !! You Truly Earned My Future Visits..

I decided to try their espresso martini. Not bad at all. I asked for not to sweet and no cream, got exactly what I ordered. We ate for sure coming back to try the bread pudding dessert as well, one of my faves!

I've had the Drive Thru burger, chicken and waffles, BTL, etc. and they were each some of the best food I've had in OC. Can't get over their French fries with the homemade ranch and the garlic aioli. Honestly committed to trying everything on the menu at some point this year. Service is also top-notch. Gabriel is the best waiter (you know they're good when you don't even want to call them waiter) I've ever had at any restaurant - he is so sweet, funny, and makes everyone feel genuinely cared for. I love that the restaurant is usually quiet and less busy because that means I don't have to wait to be seated, but I am genuinely SHOCKED. This is the type of place you expect to have a 3hr waiting list. Perhaps it's a matter of location. Perhaps they revamped their menu since some of the negative feedback. If you've tried this place and it wasn't your favorite, please give it another chance for brunch, it's fantastic! Can say enough great things about Social. BLESS YELP FOR HELPING ME FIND THIS GEM!

From the moment you walk in, the warm, elegant atmosphere makes you feel right at home--perfect for a romantic date night or a special celebration with friends. The food is outstanding. Every dish we tried was executed with precision and packed with incredible flavor. Don't even get me started on the wine list--it's extensive, perfectly curated, and the staff helped us pick the perfect pairing for each course. What really sets The Winery apart is the service. If you're in Newport Beach and looking for an unforgettable dining experience with delicious food, excellent wines, and top-notch hospitality, The Winery is a must-visit. Our server was so knowledgeable and ready to help, she made the stay as comfortable as she could, and delivered! The appetizers were phenomenal, we had the shrimp cocktail, the truffle mushroom flat bread, the crab cake, and a baguette, and the real star was truly the truffle mushroom flat bread, which was recommended by our server. For the main entree, pictured is the chili lime rubbed mahi mahi which was absolutely delicious, tender, and all of the flavors married together so wonderfully, I couldn't give it high enough praises. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, the beignets, and a chocolate cake, all of which were so decadent, sweet but not too sweet, and perfect to cap off the dinner. Overall, the ambiance was perfect, great views of the waters, and also, a cozy and intimate place that delivered very well. Valet parking is offered for $12, and that made the ease to get in and out, a whole lot easier. I couldn't recommend this place enough, will be back!

They were very small for "sea" or "diver" scallops, and the menu didn't specify what kind they were. The sauce was fine but nothing memorable. I was most excited for the wagyu oyster cut steak and ordered it medium, but it arrived more rare than expected and was surprisingly chewy rather than tender. I really tried giving Lawry's an opportunity to redeem themselves, but the lack of urgency on this matter is beyond disappointing. First of all, my family and I have spent an obscene amount of money at Lawry's restaurants. We have referred business here. My best friend is having her wedding reception here next month, and I'm not looking forward to seeing the arrogant manager who had the nerve to correct me on hospitality terminology when praising the "food runner" Ivan who did more for us than the two servers assigned to us. Just accept the compliment and make things right, please. Y'all completely missed the mark on service and quality of food that evening. Be better. That said, My kid was PUKING for three days straight after dining here. The least they could do is apologize for the unfortunate situation and offer to make it better- would it kill them to call? Additionally, I had to go though my friend Todd Johnson, who no longer works for Lawry's to get some sort of contact with the company. I hope to hear from you soon, Laura Ratner. This jewish yenta mom is not going to let this one go... & unfortunately, I have to come back next month for a wedding... you're welcome, your revenue will be a bit better... I hope the service and food isn't as terrible. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. My poor kid! Lastly, I understand that mistakes can happen. It's the lack of accountability that is truly disappointing re: this situation. I'm not even asking for a refund, just requesting a proper solution to this matter. I Hope to hear from somebody from upper management soon. ---------------------------- I had my birthday here with my family last night. I was disappointed with the service, quality of food, and overall experience. I loved Lawry's and frequented the Beverly Hills location often. (Back when Todd Johnson was in charge) He was amazing and I never had a problem or negative experience when he was with Lawry's. Anyhow, I spoke with the general manager, Eric Ensch, and he didn't seem to care when I directly expressed my concerns. He seemed absolutely insouciant about the situation, therefore I will be reaching out to his boss. Those at the top should be alerted of how things have gone downhill, especially at this location. Let me rephrase: Upper management WILL be notified, so they are aware of the issues as they should rectify the situation(s) IMMEDIATELY. I can go on and on, but it was a very bad experience, and I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. FYI: My daughter got sick from eating the food she ordered, I barely touched mine, and feel sick as well. We essentially paid hundreds of dollars for food poisoning on my BIRTHDAY That said, do yourselves a favor and avoid this restaurant. It is not as good as it once was.
