5 star fornication. Received a email from this cellular provider stating I was able to receive a…read morefree iPhone 16. Went to the Danville location on Hustonville Road and the staff confirmed that yes indeed I rated a FREE IPHONE 16. Then that free phone was subjected to an activation fee and Tax and whatever miscellaneous charges that applied. About $135. The Verizon computer system was down that day and I returned the following day to complete the transaction. That day I was able to complete my transaction. I was also told that my bill would be lower than it was previously by a few dollars. My usual monthly bill was about $78. The next billing period my monthly bill was $126. I didn't question it. The next billing cycle the charges were about $92. I attempted to reach out to Verizon and it took several hours to reach a customer service representative. The Danville store is unreachable via telephone and a useless Filipino representative overseas could not address any of my questions or concerns and deferred my call to a supervisor. He schucked and jived me around in circles. What I did learn was that the Danville stores staff had financed my free phone for $22/month for 36 months without advising me of the contract. I stupidly trusted this person. I've been a Verizon customer for over 30 years and never had any issues. I explained to the Philippine representative what happened in the store and that no one had ever made me aware of what they were doing to me. This phone call dragged on for over an hour. My patience wore out and my blood pressure soared. In the end I had to tell him what he was going to do for me. The financed phone charges were dropped. The increases to my bill for the past two billing cycles were reduced and I now have a confirmation email from Verizon stating that my billing will be $75 for the next 36 months. So if you visit Verizon in Danville watch these snakes in the grass. Everyone everywhere has a upsell agenda these days and I am growing tired and have to scrutinize and question the simplest of things. In my experience I believe that this issue isn't over yet. There used to be a veteran discount, it's gone. I have had Verizon on automatic payment and allow them to pay themselves that reduces your bill. They cut it in half. It's one thing after another and I am growing tired of fighting for my phone service and other services. You can't easily speak to a live person and AI will run you in circles. Turning your customer into a victim is just bad business practice and if you have an experience like mine I feel for you

One star is way too gracious of a rating, but 0 wasn't an option. I found this business for my mom…read morebecause it was close to her house with the nearest Apple store 60 miles away. Her iPhone 6 needed a new battery - working perfectly just slowing down - and this business had decent reviews. She dropped the phone off and returned an hour later to pick her phone up. The young employee also sold her a $40 case since her current case "wasn't good enough" - fair enough. So, the new battery was $60 - totaling $100 with the new case. The employee tells mom everything is working and it's all good. So, mom has "new" phone - wait... Now, my mom's fault - she didn't initially turn the phone on in the store. Heading home she turns it on and the phone is blinking off and on acting crazy - not ever fully turning on. She contacts the store and they say bring it back in. So, after 3 trips back to the store (30 miles one way) and numerous tries by the business to fix the phone - nothing works. The employees tell my mom that it is her problem/fault and her phone has a software issue. The phone hasn't worked since she dropped it off - mind you the phone worked fine before just slowing down. The employee continued to not "own" the fact that she yielded the phone unusable and offered no solution to the problem. Ok, in the end mom is out over $100 with no recourse or apology that this "business" wrecked her phone yielding it unusable. Also, insult to injury - mom tried to return the case that she obviously doesn't need now - the employee tells her no because she doesn't have the box it came in - the employee installed the case and threw the box away in office! Mom complained and asked for a refund more than once to no avail. Finally, obviously I would never recommend this pitiful excuse for a business to anyone. If they continue this level of service they won't be in business long. Terrible business practices.
