This place was so good that we went back twice, which is so ironic because we only went the first time because La Flauta was closed. It's right off the Universitat metro, so very easy to ge to. We ordered the cava sangria here for the first time and it was excellent. We also had.. Hamburger with foie gras 5/5: Best hamburger ever, even without the hunk of foie on top. So soft and juicy and with a lovely perfect, buttered bun. Mushroom risotto with foie gras 5/5: This dish was really the reason we came back. The risotto itself is heavenly, but with the foie gras it was just a transcendent experience. Patatas with chorizo: 4/5 just patatas bravas with ground up chorizo and a sunny side up egg. Mix it all together for delicious flavors. Patatas bravas: 4/5 crisp and delicious with a great sauce Calamari 5/5: excellent batter and crispy Grilled squid 3/5: a little chewy and needed more flavor other than salt Fried Shrimp: 5/5 These were little shrimp wrapped in wonton wrappers and deep friend. So glad we happened upon this place!

We walked through the Barceloneta area and found Celler de Tapas. The menu of the day for lunch looked good and was extremely reasonable for 9,90 per person. What I liked about this restaurant was the chic and clean decor. In addition, the menu was in English, and the waiters spoke English. The food was delicious! I loved the Mediterranean flavors throughout all of the dishes. The menu came with appetizers, main entrees, desserts, choice of drink (water, soda, or wine), and bread. Appetizers: - Cod coquettes - Delicious fried nuggets. There were also chunks of cod. - Sardines with roasted peppers - Nice to have some fresh sardines. - Fried potatoes with spicy sauce - This was complementary and was delicious! Main Entrees: - Mixed paella - My hubby and I ordered the same entree. The flavors were good as it included lots of squid, mussels, chicken, and pork. I gave the chicken and pork to my hubby. Desserts: - Fried milk with cinnamon - Orange sorbet - Very refreshing! Bathroom was in the back of the restaurant, and it was clean. Other sister restaurants include: - Celler de Tapas on Placa Universitat 5 - Celler de la Ribera on Placa de les Olles 6 - Lonja de Tapas on Pla del Palau 7 & another one on Placeta Montcada 5 - Caputxes on Caputxes 4

This is a good place for some solid food at good prices if you're in the area and need to eat. It feels like a generic casual chic restaurant with generic waiters that you can find in a big city in Anytown, Anyplace, except that you'll get a good taste of the flavors of the city. We got a tasty dinner here - patatas bravas (meh), croquetas (good), tortilla (very good), sausage (meh), paella (yum!) washed down with some beer and wine. Service not particularly warm, and a little bit spotty, but pretty decent experience overall.

Good selection. Tried spanish omelet, spicy potatoes, el dorado fish, creme brûlée Catalan

Great fast service, delicious food. Had the squid a la plancha, grilled vegetables with romesco sauce and fried chicken with sesame sauce. A glass of the house white wine was perfect with it. The outdoor seating area is right in the sun and with no breeze and you start to cook in there a little bit.

I came to Barcelona about two and a half years ago and ate here. I came back for a return trip and made sure we stopped in. The food was just as amazing as I remember. I ordered the potatoes with fried egg and chorizo, the grilled veggies, Iberian ham, and Catalan bread. We also ordered a pitcher of sangria. I was in heaven. The service was good too, quite tentative. Highly recommend you stop in.

We really enjoyed Celler de Tapas, not only for good food and friendly service, but its proximity to our hotel and Metro stop!

Love this place, first time being there. Great food, great tapas and great wine. The service could've been better. We were sitting outside and it was hard to get clue waitress's attention. Overall it was good

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
